In order to run business and their activities as well as operation at marketplace, it is very
important to use internet protocols so that goal and objectives can be attained in best possible
manner (Christopher, 2016). With change in time, there is rise in new and updated technology
that has to be adopting by business so that each and every activities and operations can be run in
best possible. The supply chain management and enterprise resource planning will be effect
through secure internet protocols at business place.

planning and on role of operation manager who are working in an organisation. These effects
will be positive as well as negative depending upon situation arises in business. They are

Supply Chain Management is defined as flow of products as well as services which
includes all procedures that helps in transforming materials into finished or final outputs. This
involves active supply of business activities to maximize customer value and gaining competitive
advantages at marketplace in proper way (Green Jr and et. al., 2012). This is also referred as
design, execution, control, planning and monitoring supply chain activities having objectives to
create net value, build competitive infrastructure, measuring performance, leveraging worldwide
logistics and so on. It is used in different areas such as system engineering, operation
management, information technology, procurement, marketing and logistics. Here, marketing
channels plays effective role in supply chains. In today's scenario, internet protocols is used by
SCM for manufacturing of products and services for their consumers so that they get whenever
they want in appropriate manner. These protocols will have positive as well as negative effect to
SCM. As in context of SCM, it has more positive effect which helps in achievement of goals and
objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
First is live tracking and monitoring in which there is real time tracked and monitored with
help of communication channels and connected devices. This also helps in providing information
about diagnostics, location and temperature in appropriate manner. It is used most of the supply
chain management company for knowing about their products and services has manufactured or
not and at which stage they are processing. The internet protocols helps in advancements in SCM

that makes proper flow of raw materials to finished products along with serving humanity in best
possible manner. Second is smart replenishment which means capability of device for
automatically identifying needs to record and restock goods with helps of machine to machine
basis for reducing requirements for human interaction in best manner. It is used by Pepsi or Coke
organisation for can and triggering alert for recording rather than waiting person to check it
manually and record them. This leads to enhance sales, better forecasting and increased revenues
or profits in best possible manner. It will help in other industry for maintaining supplies through
implementing human inventory control in real time with tracking and controlling device with
help of internet protocols. It also assists in maintenance and self healing in an effective and
efficient manner for positive outcomes so that business goal and objectives are achieved.
Therefore, in this way, SCM uses internet protocols to carry out their work in best manner and
know about each and every aspect in positive manner.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is defined as business process management software
which helps enterprise for using integrated applications in order to manage automate as well as
business and other functions such as service, human resources, technology e.t.c (Hoch and
Dulebohn, 2013). This is called integrated process of management and business that is operated
at real time and indicated by technology and software. It performs work of collecting, storing,
managing, interpreting data and information with helps of several business activities and
operations. Database management system is used for maintaining ERP system. It tracks
resources of business like raw materials, production capacity, orders, payroll, purchase orders
and so on. This is performed through help of internet protocols. As each and every activities
requires technology to perform work in best manner so that positive outcomes are achieved. This
is used by business for carrying out their activities and operations in positive manner. In next
five years, internet protocols will create positive as well as negative impact to business. They are

resource planning but also improve role of operation manager (Tsai and et. al., 2012). As they
perform day to day activities and operation in business for running organisation in successful

manufacturing process, business operation to manager in proper manner so that better planning
and organising can be done. This protocol will create both positive as well as negative effect in
next five years for ERP, SCM and role of operation manager. This will helps in achievement of
business goal and objectives.
