Understanding and Analysis:
Professional development is the process of learning or maintaining professional
credentials like academic degrees for formal coursework, informal learning opportunities and
attending conferences situated in practice. This can be described as collaborative and intensive
ideally incorporating evaluation stage. There are different approaches to the professional
development that includes consultation, communities of practice, coaching, mentoring, lesson
studies and reflective supervision. This is important because it is not possible for a person to
possess all the skills needed for the profession. Moreover different companies have different
style of working therefore they train their employees with all the needed skills. In addition to
this, keeping oneself updated with the changing scenario increases scope for being more
acknowledged in this competitive business conditions. In my case, the career vision is to get
placed in a reputed international company where I will be utilising all my already possessed
skills and where I will be able to get trained about the upgraded business factors.
My mission statement as an applying candidate of management is to strive the best
person I can be. I want to establish myself to be a hardworking and competitive factor within the
next five years and will be helping the company’s growth by utilising my skills at its best.

Literature Review:
After the industrial wave of globalisation, the expectations of the companies have
changed. This is the reason why the management of the company have been changing their skis
in order to meet these expectations. They include the capacity to perform executive duties in the

organisation while avoiding the crisis situations and solving issues whenever they take place.
According to Beenen, Pichler and Davoudpour (2018), management skills can be defined as the
certain attributes and abilities which make them effective in the decision making process. The
managers in this competitive companies possess skills in three sections that include technical
skills, conceptual skills and interpersonal skills. All types of problems of the organisations have
been solved with these skills starting from planning, ethical decision making, communication,
delegation and to keeping the employees motivated all come under the responsibilities of the
managers.
According to the study of Mencl, Wefald and van Ittersum (2016), in this competitive
business scenario, the importance of the transformational leaders are needed. These leaders are
marked by their effective decision making skills, communication and motivational initiatives.
The managers make numerous decisions knowingly or unknowingly and making decisions is
needed either to bring the success factors of the organization or ruining it. Therefore decision
making supported by foresightedness dictating to achieve the organisational goals.
According to the study by Felix (2020), possessing communication skill is a crucial factor
for the teams by ensuring that the team members at as a unified workforce. Through
communication the issues like conflicts depending upon the differences of culture or ethnicity,
knowledge and understanding can be solved. The management as have the responsibility to
manage the information flow within the organisation, through proper communication system the
confusions will be overcome in one hand and the employees will be motivated on the other.
Proper planning system reflects the efficacy of the management in utilising available
resources like time, labour and money. This is also a set of actions to pursue as well as achieve
the organizational objective by utilising resources and developing strategies. The motivation of

the employees is another factor that makes management to be more effective in controlling their
employees. Here are numerous motivation tactics which the management can use and choose the
right one depending upon the characteristics of the team as well as the entire human resource. To
Hoffman and Tadelis (2018), the employees are the most valuable resources of the organistion
therefore keeping them motivated comes under the responsibilities of the management. Through
proper communication, proving monetary and other facilities and solving problems
professionally the management can cater the needs of the employees and increase retention.

Skills Identification and Critical analysis:
After completing my business studies, I aim to get placed in an Information Technology
company in the position of human resource manager. Therefore I need to possess certain skills
that the management in the current business scenario need to have. The skill gap that I have
found throughout this session is related to the effective communication system and decision
making. I am a hardworking person and believe in ethical actions so that there is no question of
trust between the companies. Employees and the customers. I want to satisfy the employees as
well as the customers therefore I need to share all the needed information to all the stakeholders
which may always not be supportive of interest for everyone. Now problem lies with the fact that
I am a nervous person who while making decisions an in any crisis situation feel confused. This
reflects in the communication system and the lack of confidence can be easily found out.
I am capable to motivate people and planning which are essential for the manager in the
setting of goals to achieve collaboratively. I am an excellent team worker also. However, in order
to meet the demand of this position of talent acquisition manager, I need to have proper

courses which will help me to see one particular issue from different points of view. These
trainings will support professional growth and proper problem solving, through communication I
will be developing my motivation skills of the people working under me. All the aforesaid skills

support from everywhere and I will have professional growth and loyalty from the employes of
