Workshop of self-awareness
The whole workshop will base on the self-awareness, which is necessary for the personal and
professional development of a person. Moreover, this workshop is based on learning and
reflective practices. In addition, emotional intelligence is necessary to manage many things in
professional works as well as personal works. This report will describe about the three
activities of the workshop with proper schedule and details of activities.
Activity-1 Johari Window
This is the best activity for the self-awareness of a person. It is based on self-analysis using
open communication. Additionally, this activity will take less time with many benefits to all
the participants. In addition, Johari Window's activity will provide help into the identification
of various skills in a person. There are four panes in which a person will mention their skills,
which are based on open communication and self-analysis. In addition, all four panes will
provide opportunities to develop new skills. Following panes will be designed on the paper,
which areas:
Open self:
This pane is used for describing selected skills, which are know by you and others. In
addition, all the skills are important from different point of views.

Open area is used for mentioning all those skills, which are known by ourselves. It is a good
way to identify our skills, which can be used for any critical situation and decision-making
processes. It will include different types of skills, talents, and more.
Blind Self:
There are some skills, which are not identified by us. In this pane, all those skills will be
mentioned, which are identified by others, such as feelings. It is necessary to identify blind
skills to improve and used them for various purposes in professional life (Stillman, 2019).
Hidden self:
It is an important thing to manage all the skills, which are known by yourself only, such as
talents, secrets, and more. It is necessary to show all those skills, which are not known by
others. Moreover, basic skills can be used in a professional career as well. In addition, there
are some important skills, which are the talent of a person can be used for the management of
various processes at the workplace as well. These hidden talents can be used for improving
the performance of different processes in the workplace.
Unknown self:
There are some hidden skills, which can be identified using open communication. Moreover,
all the processes can be managed using various processes. These unknown skills will appear
in front of us because of open communication, including patience, honesty, leadership, and
many more.
This activity will take 45 minutes in which six participants will share their skills and their
opinions about others, which will helpful for the identification of skills. There are some
processes in daily life, which can provide solutions to various problems including a
professional career. The reflective journal can be used for self-analysis (Bassot, 2016).
Furthermore, all the participants should know about each other to provide feedback about
their quality skills. It will make a huge impact on the other participants as well. It is
beneficial for all the participants to improve their skills using self-analysis. Moreover, open
communication will reduce fear in all the participants as well.
Activity -2 Emotional intelligence
In this activity, different participants will be gathered in groups, which will assign an
emotion, such as hope, happiness, anger, and many more. This activity will be used for self-

environment. In addition, this activity will improve the strengths of a person, which is helpful
in their professional and personal development. Emotional intelligence is beneficial for a
person (Horrigan, 2011).
This activity will provide benefits to all the participants in handling different types of
conditions at their workplaces as well as their personal life. Self-analysis is necessary for
self-awareness. There are many benefits of this activity, as emotional intelligence is a new
trend in the market to manage various conditions with a high level of benefits (Bariso, 2019).
Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a basic need of a person to survive in the market place. It is a
helpful strength to manage different types of conflicts in the workplace (Sigmar, Lucia
Stretcher, et al., 2012). All the processes can be managed using EI as well as other skills.
This activity will take 2-3 hours in which all the group members will show their skills to
handle different types of situations in the workplace using skills and EI. It is the best way to
take huge opportunities in the business (Sigmar, Lucia Stretcher, et al., 2012). This activity
will be based on basic skills development as well as new features in the business
environment. Moreover, reflective writing is a good practice for learning and self-analysis
(Bolton, 2010).
All the participants will need a leader as well, which is a good way for self-awareness. In
addition, self-awareness is necessary for managing various technical and not-technical issues
and challenges in personal and professional development. In this activity, the main focus is
the handling of emotions, which can be a reason for risk in for the business as well as career.
Most of the participants have this skill but they are not aware about it. Thus, it is necessary to
analyses about different hidden skills using this activity. Moreover, it will provide help in the
management of conflicts and negotiation. This activity will improve the internal powers of a
person to manage business processes. There are some basic needs in the business, which can
be handled using business intelligence and emotional intelligence. This activity is important
for all those participants, which are week emotionally. It is a huge weakness of a person.
Therefore, emotional intelligence is necessary for self-awareness. Leadership can be
developed using self-awareness activities (Dubey, 2018).

Activity -3 Brainstorming
It is a good activity to improve various skills in a person using open communication. It is a
part of self-awareness. In addition, it is an activity in which people will provide different
ideas to solve a critical problem of business as well as the business environment (Isik, et al.,
2013). This activity will be based on the design thinking approach in which every group will
provide a solution to a real-time problem, such as traffic issues, supply chain, and many
others. All the participants can take the help of prototypes as well, such as cardboards, and
online software. Brainstorming is a good practice for decision making (CHANG, 2019).
Participants will design a model to resolve that problem using group discussion and
brainstorming. It will make a huge impact on the thinking of each participant. Moreover,
basic processes can be using this approach. Thus, brainstorming is necessary for problem-
solving in a personal and professional career. In this activity, all the participants will be
separated into groups of six members. It will improve their thinking to solve critical
problems. This activity is a part of self-awareness and self-analysis. Design thinking is
necessary for managing all things (Claes, 2017).
Part-2
This workshop will provide many benefits to all the participants in a day as well as they can
enjoy various activities during the workshop. In addition, there are three main activities,
which are based on self-awareness. Additionally, all three activities are based on self-
awareness, which is necessary for a person in their professional and personal development.
Most of the people have ignored self-analysis, which is not good for professionalism. This
workshop will beneficial for all the participants, which will be attending this workshop.
Leadership is a necessary skill, which can be developed using this workshop as well.
The Johari Window activity is the best activity for self-awareness. Moreover, brainstorming
is good for problem-solving and emotional intelligence is a good way to handle all the critical
conditions. Self-awareness is a basic thing to improve different skills in a person as well.
Besides, many skills can be developed using this workshop and activities. All the activities
are beneficial for the development of different skills, which can be used for professionalism
as well. Furthermore, all the participants can identify their weaknesses and strengths using all
those activities. It is helpful to know about ourselves, which is necessary to manage skills
using different efforts.
