Self development is a kind of reflection in which an individual determine its own capabilities
which is useful for them to enhance its skills to achieve better opportunities in future or
attaining success. Self development is a responsibility which is performed by individual and its
nearby people who judge its capabilities and give suggestion for the overall enhance and
development of performance. This assignment is based on preparing for the success and
development with the help of analysing own skills for the achieving success in prominent
skills for career development.

What is success
Success is defined by many authors according to their own perception as it is considered as an
achievement of individual in their life by which they get joy and happiness or leads to develop
satisfaction in their mind regarding their performance.

Factors for attaining success
This section is based on the employability skills that should be present in an individual
regarding their overall development and enhancement of skills and competencies. For this, few
academic and non-academic skills are discussed as underneath:
Communication: It is considered as the most important skill which should be present in each
and every individual as it effectively conveys message to other person. I am quite good in both
written and oral communication and it is developed with the help of my mentors and guides
that support me throughout the whole session. For the career development this skill is
considered as most important skill and develops with the help of academic knowledge and

individual for their development. I am little bit weak in technical skill and for this, I need proper guidance
and support of my mentors in order to face future challenges efficiently. To enhance this skill, I should pursue
technical courses which is helpful for me to develop this skill and attain career growth. As it is developed by
professionals so it is relies under the academic factor and performed or developed under someone’s guidance.
Time and self management: It is guided and developed by specialists and expertise as every individual does
know how to manage their work and time which leads to develop mess in their work and life. Lack of this
skill might develop stress and tension in student’s life regarding their career development which can become
hurdle in their overall success. In relation with this, students need to take proper classes and seminars
regarding the development and enhancement of this skill.

and cooperation among individuals. I am good in this skill and reason behind is communication as to develop
this skill, healthy and good communication skill is require which can unite team members towards one goal
and objective.
Leadership: This skill is also considered under academic skills as under this, single person take responsibility
of all its team associates and also provide suitable guidance and support to them regarding the enhancement
of career. I am good in this skill as I always guide my mates and help them in their assignment and give
suitable direction to face prominent challenges while preparing their project. Therefore, by considering this
skill I am proficient enough and reason behind is support and cooperation.

Time management: Management of time is important at personal and professional level as it is required in
daily life as well. By considering my employability skill, I am not so good in managing time which leads to
make things messy and hinder my overall performance or become barrier in my career development. For this,
I need to self analyse that in which I am lacking and take attend prominent workshops for the development of
this skill to achieve success in career.
Pressure handling: This skill is based on my mind capabilities and patience which describe that how much
that I can handle pressure in my life. By determining the panic and critical situation while preparing project, I
as a responsible person calmly deal with condition with the help of my patience and control myself in panic
situation. For my mates who are weak in this, need to do meditation to gain patience and peace of mind.

Networking: It describe those key areas by which contacts can be easily developed as I am good in
maintaining and developing networks because of my communication skills. In addition to this, it also needs
proper coordination and cooperation to manage things and cope up with other people as well.
Conflict management: It is useful in those conditions in which the viewpoint of two or more individuals
clashes and leads to develop confusion among them which tends to delay in the overall performance of
company. I am weak in this as I cannot determine the condition properly which take time and for this, I need
guidance and support of my supervisors to analyse whole situation.
Problem solving: It reflects the conflict skill as I am not good in resolving conflicts leads to create problems
and hinder my overall performance and become barrier in my success or career development. For this, I need
to attend suitable seminars and training sessions which becomes helpful for me to develop this skill.

Conclusion
By considering the above discussion it is analysed that success in important in the life of each
and every student as it leads to motivate them towards their career. In relation with this, it is
developed for the employability skills to prepare and develop skills for business context and
