INTRODUCTION
Self development is refers to practices which are conducted by a person in order
to improve themselves and it will include achievement of high self awareness,
confidence, developing skills, potential and other related talents (Caes, 2020). Moreover
it will include all the strategies which a person adopts for improving themselves
effectively. This can be generally done through developing new skills and avoiding bad
habits.
MAIN BODY
How and why has the mini project workshops contributed towards the development of
your employability?
Mini project is considered as the assignment which is completed by a student at
the end of every semester. Through this types of project a person able to enhance their
skills as well as also understand fundamentals of theoretical concept by applying it
effectively. A mini project is essential because that will help a person in developing as
well as enhancing their skills, abilities and capabilities. Moreover, it is a development
step which prepares students s that they can do large or big projects in future career. In
my case Mini project workshops help me in developing my several employability skills
which are essential to have high quality job such as time management skill,
presentation skill, leadership skill, communication skill and many more.
While conducting workshop all skills which I learnt help me in enhancing my
confidence and skills so that I accomplish my task in effective manner as well as in
allotted time. In addition to this Mini project workshop is determined as tool which add
value to a student’s CV or resume as well as it also enhance change of obtaining a best
job with high pay role (Costa, Lázaro Gutiérrez and Rausch, 2020). In the educational
institutes every students get chance to showcase their skills, talent and capabilities in
order to grasp new opportunities. In my case mini project workshop plays a main role
because through that I not able to only enhance confidence but I also able to increase
my skills related to several subjects. Moreover I also got the chance to work in team

through which I increase my team work skills, communication, problem solving and so
on.
Presentation Skills
Respective skill show effectiveness of a person who they deliver presentation in
a group so that they engage audiences effectively. This skill covers several areas such
as design and colour of slides, body language, context, points, communication and
many more (Everett, 2020). It is essential for a person to have presentation skill so that
they can deliver quality presentation in front of audiences as well as it will also help in
engaging audiences during presentation.
Time and task management Skills
Time management can be characterized as the manner by which an individual
sorts out and designs the measure of time to be spent on various activities or task.
There are numerous advantages of time management like increment in general
profitability and effectiveness, an improved proficient reputation, access to more
prominent opportunities and so on. Then again, task and time management can be
characterized as dealing with a specific assignment through different stages like
arranging, improvement and culmination.
Plagiarism
It is considered as procedure of adopting another person’s thought or ideas
without acknowledging them as a source. It is determined as a form of threat as well as
it also has several consequences with it. In college or university if a student conduct
plagiarism then there is high change that they get expelled (permanent or temporary)
from course which impact on their career. But due to this whole professional career of a
person get destroyed as well as this will also create issues in finding effective job.
Paraphrasing
It is determined as restatement of meaning of a specific paragraph or text by
using its synonyms or other words (Huang, 2020). It is essential to have respective skill
as through it student can understand different words effectively as well as it will also
increase their effectiveness. On the other hand, it also have disadvantage like several

students use tool of paraphrasing and they rephrase worlds without knowing their
meaning. Due to this they get low grades in their assignment which affects their career.
Communication Skills
It is considered as way toward sharing data, thoughts and messages with one
another. The instrument of communication is language as well as English is the most
ordinarily utilized language over the world (Jones and Masika, 2020). Verbal,
composed, oral, visual and electronic communications are a few types of
correspondence or communication. Powerful communication advances a solid and
cheerful condition inside just as outside the working environment. It helps in propelling
and expanding certainty among people and addresses data issues simultaneously.
Academic Integrity
It is considered as commitment which is demonstration of honest as well as
moral behaviour by an individual in an academic situation or environment. This is
necessary for a student to conduct their work with full ethical as well as truthfulness. It
is considered that if a student have high level of academic integrity them he/ she is
trusted and believed by others.
Group Formation
A group is determining as collection of two or more individuals who share similar
objective or interest. The main character of group is that all members know their role,
functions and duties so that there will be mo disagreement among the members.
Groups are of two types informal as well as formal and these groups are found in every
university campus (Morgan and et. al., 2020). There are several phase which are
involved in development of group such as forming, storming, norming, performing and
adjourning.
Academic Writing Skills
A writer is considered as effective when they write down thoughts in effective
manner which attract as well as impress others as well as it is essential that content
must be clear so that it can be easily understand by readers. This will include
knowledge of several skills such as punctuation, vocabulary, grammar, punctuations

innovative information in their content as that will help in attracting audiences.
Employability Skills
Employability skills can be characterized as abilities that are required by a person
to make him/her employable. These aptitudes or skills empower a person to apply
his/her specialized abilities to various occupations (Osland and Lester, 2020). They help
an individual in performing better as well as similarly help the association in
accomplishing an expanded number of objectives. A few instances of significant
employability skills are collaboration, correspondence, critical thinking, innovation,
arranging and association, self-administration and so on.
Reflection
It is determined as writing wherein the writer is required to educate the pursuers
about his/her learning, thought or impression about a specific point. Reflection is
significant in light of the fact that it helps a person in accomplishing development. The
two essential models of reflection learning are Kolb's Learning Cycle and Gibb's
Reflective Cycle. Reflective writing helps understudies or students in getting dynamic
learner from latent students or learners. Respective learning is significant on the
grounds that it helps a person in gaining from a particular useful encounter.
Cover letter
A cover letter is determined as written document which accomplish CV. The main
purpose of this document is to introduce a person to an organization by expressing their
interest in specific job role. The cover letter is bifurcated into different section such as
greeting, opening paragraph, main body paragraph and then closing paragraph.
CV Writing
Curriculum Vitae is considered as written document which outline an individual’s
education, achievement, skills, knowledge, experiences and so on. Through this a
student able to impress employer which them then in getting better job along with high
package (Shmeleva, 2020). A best CV will not only stand out of crowd but it also attract
employers which showing relevant skills, achievement, knowledge and experiences.

By analyzing above mentioned points it can be summarized that for a student it is
essential to develop their skills, abilities and capabilities as that will help them in
improving their potential so that they make successful career. In addition to this it will
also help them in gaining best employment opportunities with high paid package. This
will also help in improving CV or resume through which best opportunities can be attain.

In order to summarize, in the life of students it is essential to have numbers of
skills, abilities and knowledge as that will help them in grabbing best future opportunities
which help in developing successful career. For this they need to have numbers of skills

employability skills, CV writing, reflection and cover letter. It is so because through this a
student able to conduct their mini project in effective which help them in getting high

a person able to increase attain desire goal as well as help in minimizing negative
consequences in their career development. Through Mini project students also able to
increase their skill, abilities and knowledge which help them in gaining effective
experiences.
