2. Answer to the question: Specify the mini project workshops that you attended and explain how and why
they contributed towards the development of your social and ethical awareness and responsibility. (500
words)
Social and ethical awareness refers to an ethical theory which allows individuals to become
accountable in order to fulfil their duties and actions which benefits the society as a whole. The university
witnessed the need to amend the curriculum with an objective to expose students to the impact of social
and ethical activities in the surroundings. It is very important for the students to provide with ethical and
social and professional responsibilities and this should not be sacrificed. Though, it is quite certain that
topics like ethics, social and professional impact have no relationship with the other subjects belonging to
any field. Various kinds of mini workshops help in enhancing the teaching strategies as well as learning
strategies. The workshops provide a medium which helps the participants to develop various skills and
incorporate ethics into various sources (Coeckelbergh, 2016).
The primary focus of the workshop is to promote active learning. The active learning projects usually
involve common or group learning projects. The workshops are a challenge for the teachers in order to
promote active learning among the students in a way that promotes easy acceptance and flexibility to
accept the interactive learning process instead the web or the classrooms as a provider of knowledge or
study materials. The workshops focus on various steps in order to develop social and ethical awareness.
The steps are explained below-
ï‚· Discovering and realizing the problem- The workshop helps in enhancing the skill of people in
order to understand the problems and realize them. As unless the problems are not identified,
they cannot be sorted. Hence, identification and realization is a preliminary stage (Hamrick, C.
and Byma, 2017).
