INTRODUCTION
Self development is defined as taking steps in order to better self via learning new skills
or overcoming challenges (Estes, J.S., 2019). It is a lifelong process with the help of which
individuals can effectively able to maximise their potential. Self development is most important
process as it provide individuals with an opportunity to gain some perspective about their lives
and further plan for future. In simple terms self development is termed as a process within which
individuals engage in the procedure of evaluating their own lives while observing their personal
growth and planning for future. This process not only help an individual to develop
professionally but also aid them to effectively manage their feelings and emotions in best
effective manner. In this report formative discussion has been made on self reflection and action
plan.
This module is being undertaken by me as it is essential for me to enhance my skills
within I lack in order to secure future. Main reason to undertake this module is that this has been
evaluated by me that there were certain skills that I lacks in thus as to gain efficiency in these
skills I undertake this module. In context with future, it is important that all necessary skills are
required to be possessed by me. As with the presence of all the essential skills I can effectively
able to accomplish my objectives in a well defined manner.
TASK 1
Reflection on performance in group presentation and in the module
It has been identified that working with a group often very challenging as it required
effective coordination and communication. In addition to this, it has been identified that it is
important for an individual to learn to work with other as to accomplish objectives and goals of
their career in well defined and effective manner. During this module I have learned different
types of skills with the help of which I developed my mental thinking process like reasoning,
intelligence, thinking etc. It has been identified that during the module there were lot of projects
that are required to be undertaken by me in group and individual basis.
A project has been allotted to me for which group presentation is required. Thus, a team
was formed in which individuals of different skills and knowledge allotted with different types of
roles and responsibilities. As to deliver the presentation it is essential for all of us to have
effective communication with each other in order to share ideas, views and perceptions. One of

the primary thing of our group is to work together by respecting and understanding each other
ideas and views as to effectively accomplish determined goals and objectives. In order to
designate roles and responsibilities to each and every individual a meeting was conducted that
later turned out to be productive as each and every group member known about their role as well
as responsibilities. During the Initial stage of Activity, I have faced various problems due to my
communication skills as it is not effective as required. For me, it is not easy to coordinate with
other team members and accepting their ideas. As my confidence is low, I am not interact with
others properly and did not express or share my opinions as well as thoughts to other team
members.
In addition to this, the thing that went well was gathering of required and necessary information.
With the help of this, task that has been allotted to us went extremely well. Furthermore, this is
being identified by me that during the first weeks my confidence and communication skill had
gotten better and developed in best effective manner. This skill is required by me as to increase
my future career opportunities in best effective manner. While, the thing that does not went well
was that I was not able to manage my activities in proper framework for time. This affect my
working efficiency. Thus, it is required by me to effectively develop this skills as to ensure
accomplishment of activities and task in perfect time frame in future. Thus, it has been identified
by me that time management and critical thinking approach is required to be improve by me. For
this, it is essential for to continuously engage in activities that involve critical thinking and
accomplish them by scheduling them as per according to time. Further this has been identified
that with the help of working in group and individual with different skills and knowledge I
learned to have effective communication. This skill is one of the most important skill with the
help of which I can ensure by future growth. At group presentation every individual is allotted
with the task to collect necessary information and data. For this I had taken the use of different
social media sites as to present accurate data. During the presentation, my communication skills
is developed but I was not performing duties which is assigned to me within the time frame. I
was not able to schedule as well as manage the things in an appropriate way. In addition to this, I
have also undertaken use of information from different individuals by asking questions to them.
With the help of this, I effectively present new information to them. It has been duly identified
that the thing that went interesting was that there were no conflict raised among group members
as from the starting stage each and every individual respected each other point of view and

perception. In addition to this every group member have polite behaviour towards each other in
order to avoid conflict as it result in ineffective end outcomes. Along with this, it has been
determined by me that the thing that was not fully understand and confused me is decision
making. This further affects my overall performance. Thus, to effectively overcome this
confusion brainstorming technique is being undertaken by me. This effectively helped me to
increase my efficiency in best effective manner. Thus, as per the discussion it has been identified
that with the help of group problem problem solving skills intellectual thinking process of each
and every group members effectively increased that duly helps in accomplishment of targets in
well defined and effective manner.
By the end of this presentation, it has been analysed by me that my intellectual &
communication skills is improved. With this, I learned how to work within a team and attain
desired objectives on specified time period. Giving the presentation in front of audiences boost
my confidence level which will help me in my upcoming future.
TASK 2
Areas need to develop
There are different types of skills and knowledge which is required to be effectively
developed in order to fulfil goals and objectives in well defined manner. Some of the areas which
are required to be developed is understanding of content, time management, relationship
building. All these personal as well as professional areas is required to be develop in a well
defined manner. All the form of skills can be duly developed with the help of proper time
management of all essential activities in best effective manner. In addition with this, it is
essential for me to take advantage of different courses in order to increase my knowledge as to
increase my career growth. In addition with this, I am mainly focused towards increasing sense
of creativity as to effectively deal with changes and challenging environment as to take decision-
making in best effective manner. Further it has been determined by me that in order to develop
all these professional as well as professional skills the most important thing which is required by
me is motivation. As with the help of self motivation I can able increase my performance level
that further aid me to significantly developed by skills and knowledge. In addition to this, with
the help of having practice gratitude I can resourcefully able to combat with challenges and
expectations in group presentation. In addition to this, there are some strength that effectively aid

me to accomplish my future expectations. Some of the strength include enthusiastic, patience and
diplomatic. As it has been identified that being a good communicator also play key significant
roles as with the help of this strength challenges in future can be effectively overcome. Thus,
with the evaluation of my strength a performance goal has been duly set by me that aid me and
guide me towards well defined initiate process. It has been identified that I have good and
effective form of communication skill along with diverse range of factors such as active listener,
confidence and respective behavioural approach towards group members. With the help of all
these elements I lead towards performing my goals and objectives in best effective manner. With
the help of all these elements I can deal with challenges in well defined manner. I9n addition to
this, it has been determined that one most important skill which is required to be further
developed by me is time management skills. As without having proper time management I can
not able to accomplish my tasks and objectives in well defined time frame. With the help of
proper time management I can schedule all of my activities as per according to need and further
fulfil my future goals in well defined manner. Thus, in order to develop this skill I prioritise each
and every activity as per according to time and further fulfil them as to ensure timely
accomplishment of goals and objectives in well defined framework of time. This has been
signified that with the help of proper time management I can able to further fulfil my future goals
as per according to time with best possible end outcomes.
Communication skill and proper time management are two most important skills if developed
can help from future point. This is also a skill which helps in fulfilment of various objectives in
specific time frame.
TASK 3
Action Plan
With the help of different types of skills and knowledge future goals as well as objectives
can be duly fulfilled in well defined manner. In addition to this, it has been evaluated by me that
there are different types of skills as well as knowledge which is required to be develop by me as
to assure my future success. For this an action plan have been framed by which as per according
to which I am required to take critical thinking classes for the period of 3 months in order to
increase my efficiency of critical thinking. In addition with this, in order to manage my activities
as per according to time I am required to make time table on regular manner as to set each and

every activity according to time schedule. This, will duly help me to fulfil the determined goals
and objectives in perfect framework of time. Thus, with the effective development of all these
skills and knowledge I can able to assure my future success in well defined and effective manner.
Further it has been identified by me that in order to increase efficiency of my decision making
skills I will take brainstorming sessions for the time period of 4 moths. As with the due
assistance of this, I can effectively able to undertake decision-making in best effective manner
and can further able to fulfil my goals and objectives. In addition to this, this has been evaluated
that global context of higher employment depicts that there is signifiant change in each and every
aspect and there are different types of challenges prevailing in working environment which is
required to be overcome by an individual in order to perform goals and objectives in best
effective manner. For this it is essential to take advantage of different types of courses and
measures in order to gain expertise in particular field. With the help of this a person can
effectively able to accomplish their set targets and goals in best effective manner while ensuring
success.
