A person always highly need to develop different skills in its daily life to develop
its personality and professionalism. There are problem-solving skills, decision-making
skills and communication skills etc. are some main abilities and skills which people has
required to highly develop. Otherwise, people can’t gain high success in their life.
Nowadays people are using different innovative ways, methods and techniques for
developing their various skills or abilities. There is self-motivation is too necessary for
the self-development, because without a self-motivated person always takes different
steps towards improve its own performance in personal life. Currently various books &
journals are available in the market which can guide to a person about how to promote
self-development aspect in personal life. Nowadays various blogs and articles also are
available on the internet which has based on self-development, so a person can read
these blogs and articles also for developing own abilities and skills This portfolio has
discussed actual value of various skills in personal and professional development.
There are reading log, photo log etc. aspects also have included in this portfolio. At the
ending of portfolio, a CV, an effective action plan and ending summary of this portfolio
has been included.
Contribution of Mini Project Workshops
Mini project workshops play very important role in development and improvement
of employability aspect. According to my experience, these workshops has positively
impacted my personal life, Reason is, with the support of these workshops I was able to
develop my employability feature (Costa, Lázaro Gutiérrez and Rausch, 2020). That
was really great experience to me, because mini project workshops were given
opportunities for promoting self-development aspect. In this workshops, many
personality development experts can help to a person, they provided some innovative
methods in those project workshops which are currently supporting that person in
improving my different skills and abilities. According to my knowledge, each person
should participate in such mini project workshops, because these workshops gives very
big opportunity of self-developing.

A mini project workshop was given me chance for developing communication skills as
well. Reason is, when I was participated in mini project workshop, in this situation I has
required to communicate with different people, like my colleague, workshop’s existing
experts, seniors etc. According to some personality development experts, when you
daily interact and communicate with different professionals, then your own
communication skills will be definitely improved. That’s why those mini project
workshops were played great role to me. If I will get one another chance to participate in
such workshops, then I will definitely participate in that workshop, because this type of
workshops highly contributes in our personal and professional development (Karwowski
and Barbot, 2016). Currently I ready to put any effort to continuously develop my
different skills and abilities, because I learnt in those workshops that, a person can’t
achieve high success in its personal life without well-developed skills and abilities.
According to my experience, these mini project workshops are the best way for
developing and improving own employability skills, because in a project workshop, a
person always need to cover different tasks which can develop its performance and
productivity. Currently extra-ordinary performance and productivity has highly required
to plays an employee’s role effectively. That’s why everyone always give very priority to
these mini project workshop in personal life. I has learnt somewhere that, I any person
no have effective employability, then it will not be able to perform well in the workplace.
My existing employability skills and abilities are too effective, because I was putted huge
efforts towards developing these skills. There is a person need to develop many other
abilities and knowledge areas for improving its employability skills.
According to my knowledge, an employee always need to has well-improved
communication skills, problem-solving skills, time-management skills, decision making
skills, etc. for becoming an effective employee. When any employee has succeeded in
developing these all skill, then its employability skills will be automatically improved.
In this dynamic and modern world, I am to take huge advantages from my
existing employability skills. Currently most businesses and companies gives priority to
only those candidates in their hiring processes who has effective employability skills. I
have well-developed employability skills because of those mini project workshops, so if I

give any job interview in any organisation, then I will definitely get a job because of my
existing well-developed employability skills. In case, if I was not attended those mini
project workshops, then I was not being capable to develop or improve my various skills
(Chung and et.al., 2017). Currently I have well-developed skills, that not means now I
have no need to continually developing my employability skills. This is another one of
the major things which I have learnt in those mini project workshops that, a person
should never stops developing their various skills continuously. Because, when a
person continuously takes different steps towards developing its skills, then it can easily
become well-developed person by personality wise and also with professionalism wise.

An effective action plan always plays very productive role in identifying those

2016). Generally, an action plan has involved some specific methods and ways which

The goal is to improve and develop own personality and professionalism.
2. Why is this goal important to me?
This goal is too important to me, because if I achieve this goal, then I will be
able to gain huge success in my life. Personal and professional development is very
necessary task to me, because currently most people give high value to only that
person who has well-developed personality and professionalism. That’s why I highly
need to achieve this goal. By achieving this goal, I will be able to completely

understand my various responsibility as well.
3. What, specially, will focus on?
I specially have focused on improving my different skills, abilities, capabilities,
knowledge area, etc. because if any person has well improved skills and knowledge,
then it can easily develop its existing personality and professionalism (Seková,
Vaňová and Šulajová, 2017). Mainly effective communication skills, decision-making
skills, time management skills are n some major skills which I should develop on time,

4. How I will know if I am making progress towards my goals?
I can employ different tools like; KPI (key performance indicator) and also
success indicator etc. These tools are very supportive in analysis of present
performance (Frick and et.al., 2018). By analysing my present performance, I will be
able to know skills which I still needs to developed. On the other side, I will ask from
my friends and family members also reviewing my previous and present skills. In this
situation, if my friends and family members told me that your existing skills are better
than past time, then I will accept that my existing skills are completely well-improved
and well-developed. These all steps will definitely run me on the progressive path.

I am enables to use different sources like; books & journals, internet blogs,
business magazines, newspaper articles etc. for learning various new things which
will contribute in gaining my short-term goals.
