INTRODUCTION
Self development is a on going and continuo process which is crucial for development and
growth of an individual. It is important for a person to identify its weakness and strength as this
will assist in preparing for success as well as accomplishment of desired objectives (Terziev and
Nichev, 2017). There are various factor and elements that needs to be consider by organisation
for preparing for success. In this report different skills that is learned through group presentation
are determined as well as new information that is presented in also analysed. This report included
different ares that needs to be develop by individual for increasing its performance. Apart from
this a proper action plan is developed that will help in enhancing different skills.

Reflection on performance in group presentation
What you have learnt?
I have analysed that there are various skills and competencies are developed by
participating in group presentation. These skills are very helpful for me in preparation of success
as well as accomplishment of desired goals. Learning for this presentation includes information
about essay writing, report writing, reading and writing skills. While creating the content of
presentation I was able to gain more understanding and information about writing and reading
skills. My team member were very supportive in enhancing my skills as well as help me in
conducting task in more effective manner (Warnock and Mohammadi-Aragh, 2016). In this
group presentation I have learned about leadership skills, research skills, self confidence, self
esteem, working in a team. I have identified that all of these skills will support in increasing my
capability and potential to conduct academic and professional task in better manner. Team work

What new information has been presented?
While working in group presentation information about leadership and research skill.
This was new information that has been presented in this presentation. It is very important for a
person to gain information and understanding about leadership skills. I have determined that
leadership is a capability of a person to influence other in order to increase their potential to

conduct task. Information gained about leadership is very helpful in preparing for success and
increase potential to conduct task in more creative manner. I have gain new information about
research skill and this skill is crucial for enhancing person capability to identify more accurate
and appropriate data which is according to the requirements. These new learning will assist me in
enhancing my performance and attain desired goals.
What was interesting?
Participation in group presentation was very interesting task and it helps in increasing
information about different concepts. In this presentation we all have divided are task according
to person capability and potential. Team work in this group presentation was very interesting as
well as supportive in conducting different activates of this presentation in more creative and
accurate manner. I have analysed that group presentation is a very interesting task that will help
in increasing person capability as well as successfully accomplishment of desired goals
(Litchfield, Javernick‐Will and Maul, 2016). While working in this group presentation
understanding about self esteem was very interesting. Though this I have analyse that is a need
of individual which lead to motivate person capability and potential. I have determined that
there are different tools and approaches that will help in increasing the capability of a person to
perform well.
How might you use the new information?
There are several ways in which this new information can be used. I will use all of the
new information and my learning that has been gained while conducting group presentation.
Understanding and information gained about team work can be used while performing
organisational task in a group. Team work skills will support in developing better relationship
with team member as well as successfully attained desired goals. Leadership skills will be very
helpful in influencing other for conducting task in required manner. I have analysed that I will be
able to use leadership skills while leading a team as well as make sure my team member use
their full potential to perform require task in accurate manner. Research skill can be used by for
collecting appropriate data for taking better decision for business. Reading and writing skill will
assist me in presenting ideas to other so that they understand it in proper manner.

What did you not fully understand or confused you, and what did you do about it?
There are some aspects that I have not fully understand while working in group
presentation. I was not able to understand about self confidence and how to develop it. This is
one of the major aspect that needs to be understand by an individual as this will help in
performing task in more accurate manner. I was very confused between self confidence and self
esteem. This lead to affect my performance and conducting task related to presentation. In order
to overcome this confused I have taken help for my team member for ginning better
understanding about the self confidence and self esteem as well as its concept (Pardosi and
Wijayanto, 2015). My team member explain me that both of these two terms are very different
from each other as self confidence is the feeling about ability of a person where as self esteem in
the feeling about ourselves. Information that is provided by my team member was very helpful in
reducing confusion as well as fully understand the details.

Identification of different areas that need to be develop further
While analysing and evaluating my performance and capability I have determined that
there are different skills and capabilities that needs to be developed. Improvement in different
skills and capability will assist me in performing task and activity in more effective manner.
there are various skill in which I am weak and this lead to have negative impact on productivity.
There are different task that needs to be performed by gaining better marks in academic course as
well as accomplishment of set targets. I have evaluated that I am weak in communication skills
and writing skills. Both of these are crucial for performance variety of task in organisation as
well as academic studies. It is very crucial for me to improve these skills as conduct required task
in more creative manner. Due to lack of communication skill I am not able to covey my thought
and ideas to other. This lead to affect self confidence and capability. Communication skill is one
of the essential skill that is required by a person who is performing task in organisation as a
professional. Effective communication skill will assist me in giving creative presentation that
lead to provide complete information about the content as well as meet with the requirements of
business. By enhancing communication skill I will be able to boost self confidence and this assist
me in gaining more opportunity for growth and development. My writing skill will be enhanced

with the improvement in communication skill. Writing skill is a part of written communication
and by development of this skills I will be able to written effective content for academic study
and gain better scores. Writing skill will assist in developing of creative and unique presentation
for organisation. I have determined that I am weak in finding more accurate data as well as
presenting it in better manner. This is due to lack of research skill and lead to have negative
impact on capability to develop useful report (Anugraheni, 2017). I have identified that due to
lack of research skill I am not able to collect and gather more accurate data which is required.
Research skill is crucial for writing report and presenting it to senior person. Lack of research
skill is affecting my performance in academic study and organisation task. A student for
professional in company, it is very important for a person to have right set of skills so that all
task can be perform in smooth and accurate manner. Lack of communication skill lead to have
impact over self confidence and development of effective communication will assist me in
resolving the issues of writing skills. There are various issues and problem faced due to lack of
these skill and impact on my overall capabilities. It is essential for me to develop and increase
these skills so that I can conduct required task in better and appropriate manner.
TASK 3
Development of action plan
It is crucial to develop a effective and appropriate plan for developing skills and capabilities.
It has been analysed that action plan will help in performing different skills and capabilities of a
person as well as help them to conduct different task and activities in more accurate and
appropriate manner. Action plan can be describe as the plan which support in identifying path
and methods that will support in increasing the skills of person as well as accomplishment of
desired objectives. There are different steps that is included in action plan for increasing
capabilities and performance of person to conduct different task.
Developing objectives – It is crucial for a person to develop and create an effective
objectives that will support in enhancing the capability of a person. This is the first step that is
required by a person to increase their potential. In this step an individual needs to create and
develop strong objective that is essential for improving the competencies. My objective in to

develop strong relationship with other people as well as able to influence them to perform
organisational task in more creative manner.
Analysing area of improvement – After development of desired goal, I have to determine
my own strength and weakness. My strength will assist me in performing set of task in better
manner where as weakness will lead to have negative impact on performance and capability.
There are different skills that is lacking in order to successfully achieve my performance and
competencies. I have analysed the communication and researcher skill are the major area that
need to be develop in order to successfully achieve set goals of action.
Planning for development – It is essential to create an effective plan that will assist in
improvement of skills and capabilities. It have analysed that there are different ways and
methods that will assist in improving those skills that is lacking. In this step I have to plan and
organise activities for each day that support in increasing communication and research skills.
This plan will include the blue print of all task that need to be conducted as well as strategies that
need to be used for increasing skills.
Identification of approaches – In this step of action plan I have to determine and identify
different approaches that can be use in order to increase skills and capabilities. There are
different method that will assist increasing communication skills and research capabilities
(Gipayana, 2016). For improving communication and research skill I will take short term online
course. This course will assist in increase different aspect for communicating effectively and
collection of accurate data.
Evaluate performance – This is the last step in last step in which a person identify and
analyse the actual performance. This is very useful step in which I will be able to compare my
actual performance with the set objectives. By evaluation my performance with the set standards
will be able to determine the overall improvement in my performance as well as capability to
conduct task.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that self development is a very important part of
growth of a person. Self development can be describe as process which will support in preparing
for success. This will assist perform in improving capability and potential for a person to perform
required activities in correct and accurate manner. There are various skills and competencies that

is required by an individual to enhance potential. By determining all those skill that is lacking in
a person will help in self development process.
