Self development is a on going and continuo process which is crucial for development and
growth of an individual. It is important for a person to identify its weakness and strength as this
will assist in preparing for success as well as accomplishment of desired objectives (Terziev and
Nichev, 2017). There are various factor and elements that needs to be consider by organisation
for preparing for success. In this report different skills that is learned through group presentation
are determined as well as new information that is presented in also analysed. This report included
different ares that needs to be develop by individual for increasing its performance. Apart from
this a proper action plan is developed that will help in enhancing different skills.

Reflection on performance in group presentation
What you have learnt?
I have analysed that there are various skills and competencies are developed by
participating in group presentation. These skills are very helpful for me in preparation of success
as well as accomplishment of desired goals. Learning for this presentation includes information
about essay writing, report writing, reading and writing skills. While creating the content of
presentation I was able to gain more understanding and information about writing and reading
skills. My team member were very supportive in enhancing my skills as well as help me in
conducting task in more effective manner (Warnock and Mohammadi-Aragh, 2016). In this
group presentation I have learned about leadership skills, research skills, self confidence, self
esteem, working in a team. I have identified that all of these skills will support in increasing my
capability and potential to conduct academic and professional task in better manner. Team work

of individual which lead to motivate person capability and potential. I have determined that
there are different tools and approaches that will help in increasing the capability of a person to

There are several ways in which this new information can be used. I will use all of the
new information and my learning that has been gained while conducting group presentation.

What did you not fully understand or confused you, and what did you do about it?
There are some aspects that I have not fully understand while working in group
presentation. I was not able to understand about self confidence and how to develop it. This is
one of the major aspect that needs to be understand by an individual as this will help in
performing task in more accurate manner. I was very confused between self confidence and self
esteem. This lead to affect my performance and conducting task related to presentation. In order
to overcome this confused I have taken help for my team member for ginning better
understanding about the self confidence and self esteem as well as its concept (Pardosi and
Wijayanto, 2015). My team member explain me that both of these two terms are very different
from each other as self confidence is the feeling about ability of a person where as self esteem in
the feeling about ourselves. Information that is provided by my team member was very helpful in
reducing confusion as well as fully understand the details.

While analysing and evaluating my performance and capability I have determined that
there are different skills and capabilities that needs to be developed. Improvement in different
skills and capability will assist me in performing task and activity in more effective manner.

well as accomplishment of set targets. I have evaluated that I am weak in communication skills

in more creative manner. Due to lack of communication skill I am not able to covey my thought
and ideas to other. This lead to affect self confidence and capability. Communication skill is one
of the essential skill that is required by a person who is performing task in organisation as a
professional. Effective communication skill will assist me in giving creative presentation that
lead to provide complete information about the content as well as meet with the requirements of
business. By enhancing communication skill I will be able to boost self confidence and this assist
me in gaining more opportunity for growth and development. My writing skill will be enhanced

It is crucial to develop a effective and appropriate plan for developing skills and capabilities.
It has been analysed that action plan will help in performing different skills and capabilities of a
person as well as help them to conduct different task and activities in more accurate and
appropriate manner. Action plan can be describe as the plan which support in identifying path
and methods that will support in increasing the skills of person as well as accomplishment of
desired objectives. There are different steps that is included in action plan for increasing
capabilities and performance of person to conduct different task.
Developing objectives – It is crucial for a person to develop and create an effective
objectives that will support in enhancing the capability of a person. This is the first step that is
required by a person to increase their potential. In this step an individual needs to create and
develop strong objective that is essential for improving the competencies. My objective in to

Evaluate performance – This is the last step in last step in which a person identify and
analyse the actual performance. This is very useful step in which I will be able to compare my
actual performance with the set objectives. By evaluation my performance with the set standards
will be able to determine the overall improvement in my performance as well as capability to
conduct task.
