Everybody wants success in their lives in any means but some of them do not know the
ways to achieve them. Student’s lives are the most important phase in everyone’s life
and it is the time where they need to concentrate on the academic sessions and moral
values. However, the presentation will discuss about the different aspect that will be
beneficial to achieve success and to reach their respective goals. Further, the report will
also discuss how the application of all the elements in my professional life as well as
personal can be favourable and helpful to achieve my goals in life.

2. Reflective statement on personal development
2.1 Things I have learned
The presentation that has been represented has mainly focused on the thing of how an
individual can attain success in life. It has come into the limelight that to achieve a goal
an individual need to be goal-oriented and disciplined one. As a student, it is very
important to understand the basic requirement that will help them to achieve success.
There are different qualities that have been presented in the presentation seems to be a
very effective and efficient one and can make a student to gain success in their
academic life and also in the future.
Being an organized one: I have come to know by the presentation that for any human
being whether it is a student or an employee success cannot be achieved in a single
day. It can be achieved through hard work, discipline, and dedication. As an individual, I
respect time very much and in the presentation, it has presented that students have to
understand the value of time and required to accomplish their duties before time. This
lesson will be very beneficial for them for a whole life.
Giving preference to studies: The students need to prioritize their studies and other
activities such as watching television, wasting time in gossiping with friends and family.
It is because as we know "Time and tide wait for none" If the present time is gone once
it won’t be back again.
Being on time: This lesson not only limited to students only every human being needs
to be punctual every time. Being punctual not only shows how much a person gives
value to time but also shows how much the person is a disciplined one. Punctuality
helps to change the lifestyle of a person in a better way. Being on time helps to finish
every important work before time thus it avoids being messy, disorganized and chaotic.
Honest work: We all have learned that "Honesty is the best policy" and it always leads
the way to success. Students always need to all their work by themselves without
cheating or copying in any means. It is because taking short cuts always leads to

achieve success, the students need to consult with their teachers, discuss their
problems related to studies with them. It is also very important that students should
avoid distracting activities in the classroom and should maintain silence and supportive
to their teachers (Tucker-Drob, 2017). The teachers also play a vital role in every
student's life as they are the one who shows the right direction to the students through
which can achieve success and goals in the future. However, from the presentation, I
have also learned that it is also important for a student to take some break and to
indulge themselves with few curricular activities such as singing, sports, dancing, yoga,
dramatics and many more. Various school premises have initiated the activities to
energize the students and to reduce loads of study pressure (Soto and Tackett, 2015).
2.3 Interesting sides in the presentation
In the presentation, the interesting part which can be outlined is that nowadays teachers
and school premises do not pressurize the students to spend their whole time studies.
As a person, I have learned that for achieving your prioritizing goals you need loads of
hard work but for that, you have to boost your energy as well as morale. From the
suggestions that have been provided in the presentation not only me, everybody can try

everything before time to avoid panicking in the meantime. It gives me the inspiration to
be amongst one. Organizing everything, before time will make a person a perfect one
and develops their living standards (Kandler et al. 2015). In the future when I will get a
job in any organization learning of being organized from now will make me a disciplined
person. Though being a disciplined person gets respects and praise from everyone.
Prioritizing studies: As the learning in the presentation has demonstrated it can be
easily understood that education is the most important aspect for achieving success.
Academic education is the main base for every individual. It gives us knowledge of
basic learning, makes us disciplined, teaches us to value time and provides us degree
and teaches us moral values which are very necessary to survive ethically and decently
in life (Ormel et al. 2017). In life according to degrees and moral values career
opportunities can be found. I personally give education the chief most priority in life as
without this success cannot be achieved in life.
Punctuality: This one is another chief most important quality that every individual must
require to possess in them. Being a punctual person I can gain lots of positivity in my
professional life (Zech et al. 2018). Career-wise a person who is punctual and performs
all the duties on time can achieve success easily. Punctuality makes a man perfect in
every way being on time not only beneficial to accomplish work on time but it also gives
a good impression on others. I have seen many people who are not punctual and being
unsuccessful to achieve their goals. For this reason not only for myself I would like to
suggest everyone to be punctual to order get success and accomplish respective goals
in life.
All these elements that have been discussed here are very essential and beneficial in

these qualities and will further suggest everybody to take up these virtues in their life.
