Chosen Topic: Shared Governance.
Chosen Criterion: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The importance of the effective communication in the health care industry is observed
to be of great significance. I do feel that nursing individuals are subjected to significant need
of portraying the excellence in the evidential and verbal communication as it increases the
efficiency of the operations and that is much required in the production of the emergency
service. The effective communication of the nursing individuals is of great significance as it
enables the employees to efficiently communicate the health concerns of the patients to the
concerned multi-disciplinary teams so that it be easy for them to diagnose the issues of the
patients (Chaharsoughi, Ahrari and Alikhah 2014). During my professional experience, I was
able to exhibit the mentioned skills of mine for multiple times and one such case can be
elaborated when I communicated effectively with the patient party. It is seen that the patient
parties are significantly anxious with the illness of their beloved ones and under such
situation, I was able to show my communion and interpersonal skills to convince them that
the issue is not that serious and the patient will be cured with the service that they are
offering. The impact of the team work in the health care industry is seen to be crucial in
providing the effective treatment to the patients and under such situation, the skills of the

effective and efficient communication helps the employees of the organizations to overcome
any sort of conflict on the operations of them (Hartman and Crume 2014). Along with that,
the clinical handover is seen to be significant for the operations in the healthcare industry and
in conducting clinical handover, the employees of the organizations are responsible to
produce the effective communication and the evidences of the history of the patients
(Severinsson, Johansson and Lindquist 2014). Apart from this, I am also aware of the impact
of the therapeutic communication on the required professionalism to acknowledge the legal
and the ethical structures of the healthcare sharing.
Chosen Topic: Clinical Governance.
Chosen Criterion: Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment.
The safe and the healthy working environment is seen to be of great significance
among the healthcare individuals and the reason of that is pretty evident (Hoffman and
Chunta 2015). I feel that the healthcare industry is one of the few industries that have notable
amount of demand associated with it. The increasing demand of the market is able to produce
significant amount of work pressure among the members of the healthcare organizations and
that is the main need of having an effective team. The working environment plays a crucial
role in the operations of the employees inside the organizations as the important aspects of
the effective team work such as the team cohesion, bonding the and the quality of the
professionals in providing collaborative excellence are significant (Berry et al. 2016). During
my professional experience placement, I was able to handover the tools like the ISBAR so
that it be easy for the individuals in the mentioned industry to operate with a precise focus in
the aspects like the introduction, situation, background, assessment and the recommendation.
I do consider that the safety of the employees is one of the prime concern in the mentioned

environment. The healthcare professionals are usually in touch of significant amount of
diseases as they are to provide the treatment to the patients and under such situations, I was
able to provide them the required coverings from such diseases with the repetitive health
check-ups and by reducing the number of the sources having the potential of causing damage
to the employees (Mitchell, Ahmed and Szabo, 2014).
Chosen Topic: Self-Governance.
Chosen Criterion: High level of reliability and professional conduct.
The reliability is one of the key aspect or requirement for the healthcare individuals.
As the industry serves the ill patients, the reliability of the services of the employees is one of
the major factor responsible for the changing preferences of the customers in choosing the
healthcare providers for their treatment. From my PEP experience, I am able gather the
information regarding incorporation of the business ethics and ethical professional
conduction. Along with that, I was able to implement my knowledge through the operations
of my subordinate employees with the formation of the code of ethics and effective follow up
on the implementation of it. The importance of the professional conduction in the operations
of the healthcare individuals is significant for me as it enabled me to know the strategies for
the increment in the productivity through the practices of it (Khamisa et al. 2015). Along with
that, the business image of the healthcare providing organizations is observed to be notably
crucial in the increased generation of the revenue and the professional conduction of the
employees of the organizations is one of the main key factor in the creation of such a
corporate image of the health care providing organizations that enables the achievement of
the increased number of the customers’ attraction (Hoeve, Jansen and Roodbol 2014).
