Introduction
In this report, there is a discussion of Personal and Professional Development. This report
shows you the various ways of how self-managed learning can enhance the lifelong learning.
In this report, some ways in which lifelong learning in Personal and Professional contexts
could be encouraged is also discussed. In this report, a brief discussion of approaches to self-
managed learning is also there. The report of this Personal and Professional Development has
also discussed the benefits of self-managed learning to the Individual and Organization. In
short, there is a brief discussion of how to develop a Personal and Professional context of a
human being. A development of Personal and Professional context helps to gain success and
allows human beings to operate in such a challenging world.

1.1 Evaluate approaches to self-managed learning.
Self-learning comes before professional learning because without achieving personal and
self-management skills one cannot enter into the professional world. It’s very mandatory to
attain the self-management, for this various methods and approaches can be adopted and
practices to evaluate the self-learning which is cited below:-
o Social Network
Active on social networks like facebook, twitter and many more exhibited that a person
sharing his thoughts and wants to connect with his outer world on some issues. The social
network is the most used resource for sharing thought and chatting with the outer world. How
one behaves in social network exhibited its behaviour and attitude. Hence this enhanced the
self-managed learning. The social network provides benefit in many ways (Boud and Molloy,
2013).
o Seminars and Conferences
This is one of the best methods to increase the self- management learning. Seminars and
conferences help the one in understanding the way of speaking in front of public and in what
he or she should present himself or herself in public. Seminars and conferences help the
people to come to know about the new things and new experiences. Even attending the
seminars and conferences also helps to a great extent because seeing one presenting him in
front of public encourages one confidence and also helps in self-management learning.
o Use and advantage of the Internet
In this era of technology, life without internet cannot be predicted because the internet is the
hub of everything. From problems to solve everything can be found on the internet. Internet
is not confined to place and countries, it’s available at 24hours of the day. Spending tie on
internet means people come to know about the current and newer things. Having in touch
with current issues helps the one to enhance their self-management skills and knowledge.
Various articles, blogs and information are presented on the internet (Boud, 2013).

There are several ways in which life-long learning can be achieved and that learning help out
in professional world. These are explained below:-
Leadership quality
If one can able the other to follow and listened to him or her carefully that means one
achieved the leadership quality. Leadership exhibited the attitude of the person in public.
Leadership quality is useful, in both personal and professional world. Leadership depicts that
one can survive in any situation and able to understands its depth. Leadership also enables the
outer people to get influenced by that person. Leadership empower the role of the person in
every diverse area of the professional world (Busse, et. al, 2013).
Self-evaluation
Self-evaluation can be done by examining the strength and weakness. Every person has
strengths and weakness, to identify the strengths and to avoid the weakness is the self-
evaluation. One should know that how their strengths prove fruitful for them and how their
weakness can act as a barrier. Threats and opportunities also come in self-evaluation process.
Good communication skills
It is very effective self-evaluation. Having knowledge and experience is one thing but without
having communication skills all things are useless. If one is not able to present their ideas all
their knowledge goes waste. Good communication skills include correct postures, gestures

There are several benefits of self-managed learning. This self-management can be applied in
the professional world. from past experiences, one can apply the self-evaluation in current
[project or situation. self-managed provides benefits in personal life and this contributes to
the professional world. this increases flexibility in one’s work in an organization and
increases the decision-making power from self-evaluation. one of the most benefitted areas
from self-management is that it increases the diversification. there are several benefits of self-
managed learning in individual and organization, these are described below:-
o Team-work Skills
Teamwork is the most common phenomenon in an organizational context and a person
performs only this when they enhanced with self-management. All organization relied on
teamwork and team or requires proper synchronization among all and this can be achieved
with everyone understanding. This reflects the self-management. Teamwork provides several
benefits in the professional world (Cummings and Worley, 2014).
o Good Communication Skills
Good communication skills provide benefits in the professional world. Communication skills
are proving in personal life which is applied in professional world. To increase
communication there are several benefits which are discussed in this report earlier.
Communications is helpful in both individual and in organization because it raised one living
standard. Having money is another thing but having good communication and effective skills
is like cherry on the cake.
o Presentation Skills
All organization wants that their employees present their idea in proper and effective manner.
This can be achieved it only when a person is confident in personal life because professional
world protocols reflect the personal living and traits. Presentation skills can be attending the
seminars and conferences which are explained above in this report (Dabbagh and Kitsantas,
2012).
All the above skills create a healthy and satisfied environment in both personal and
professional world of oneself. All the above benefits can be attained form the self-managed

3.1 Discuss the processes and activities required to implement the development plan.
There are several ways in which self-managed can be continually developed. In fact, from
time amendments makes according to the current requirement of the organization. To
understand the concept of this implementation and plans for development various process and
activities are adopted by personal and professional world. The first implementation is done at
a personal level and then it applied on implementation level. Implementation of development
plans is very important because without implementation plans are of unnecessary use.
Various process and activities are discussed below:-
o Implementation and Support
Implementation of the personal development plan is considered to very challenging and it
requires full support otherwise personal development plan would not work effectively. There
is two major change in this step first is training and other is applied it to personal
development. In both challenges, full support is required. Personal development plan
implementation deals with the training facility and provided it to the people. At last, support
helps in implementation of the personal development plan. Support helps in implementing the
personal development plan (Marrongelle, et.al, 2013).
o Scope of Implementation
