Introduction
The assignment is based on the different aspects related to the learning that is managed by an
individual by own self. The ability of an individual to be responsible for one’s own growth
personally and professionally is thrown light upon in the assignment. The ability to develop and
review the personal and professional development plan provides the much-needed support to the
individuals to execute the operational tasks and actions in an efficient manner by adhering to the
specific systems and steps. Different solutions to work based problems are devised and the time
management strategies within the National Trust Company will be taken.

Task 1 LO1: Understand how self-managed learning can enhance lifelong development
1.1 Evaluate approaches to self-managed learning
According to Hatch (2018), self-managed learning is the concept of integrating the various steps
and measures that would help in developing one’s own self thus helping in enriching the
individual and uplifting the morale of the workers and the professionals. Learning that is
managed by an individual by their own self ensures smooth execution and implementation of the
actions and tasks that are undertaken by the individuals. The different approaches being
developed are assessed to gain knowledge about the various levels of their efficiency in
developing the aspects of self-managed learning within the sphere of the organisations.
The approaches that will be suitable for the workers and professionals of National Trust
Company are as follows:
Social media networking sites
According to Hughes and Wearing (2016), social networking comprises of the variety of
websites that help in ensuring the accomplishment of the varied range and category of tasks
occurring within the sphere of the organisation. National Trust Company provides modern and
advanced online services and processes that ensures the smooth progression of the actions and
tasks being continued within the Company. The social networking sites such as Facebook,
Twitter, WhatsApp provides a very good platform for all the individuals to express themselves
and interact freely within the sphere of the organisation.
Utilisation of Services of Internet
The services associated with internet has developed and has helped in ensuring the perfect
execution and implementation of the actions and jobs allotted to the specific individuals within
the work environment and work sphere.
Organising workshops and interactive sessions
According to Epstein et al., (2018), organising the workshops and interactive sessions also helps
the smooth development of the variety of actions and tasks within the National Trust Company.

by which lifelong learning within the personal and professional contexts could be encouraged.
They are as follows:
Training received while working
It is very important for the staffs and the employees to receive modern and technologically
advanced methods and procedures to work in a systematic manner within the sphere of the
Company. According to Sanghi (2016), the features and characteristics of training methods and
developmental procedures are integrated within the working activities of the employees in order
to ensure their lifelong learning and overall development.

SWOT method or tool provides the assurance to the individuals to be able to have a good idea
about the strong points and the weak points of them in order to develop quality activities.

communication methods that helped me to perform the tasks with great efficiency and success. I

leadership to establish the various traits and features within me to execute the various actions and

recruitment and selection methods existing within the organisational sphere has provided an
