This report has helped me develop my knowledge about businesses cases and
stakeholders. Previously in the group assignment while completing the OBC I have understood
and had a broad understanding about how to write a business case and how to understand the
issues in the business case. While doing the group project I have not only learnt about how to
identify issues, identify constraints and recommend suitable measures that ensure the feasibility
and bring productive outcomes but I have also learnt the practicality of the group assignment. It
has helped me in developing my skills to work in a group and has also helped me in
understanding how a group assignment works. It has helped me in working in a team coherently
and build a positive team to come with productive results.
From the results of the group assignment I have come to understand and know where we
had flaws and where we had done well that would help us further in improving the projects we
make and also understand how to write a business case study. The executive summary which we
had written in our paper was not up to the mark and now I have come to know about the exact
requirements of what an executive summary means and what are the necessary informations that
needs to be put in the executive summary to give the readers a proper gist an abstract of the
project. The comments from my professor has also helped me in understanding my weakness and
where I currently lack which has helped me immensely and has helped me in trying to improve
my skills and the necessary requirements which I was unaware of.
From the group assignment I did not only understand the flaws we have in terms of the
assignment but also understood what is needed to build a cohesive group and work efficiently.
Creative differences are something that is inevitable especially when it is a group project
however it is important for every group member to be vocal about their own ideas and present
their stand so that there is an opportunity to choose the best idea from various different ideas.

From the group assignment I have learnt that it is important for every individual to have certain
personal traits that one needs to work and be an active member of the group. According to me, an
individual who is working in a group needs to have patience, good listening skills and be
adjusting and considerate. If the individuals belonging and working together in a group do not
have these traits then it can become difficult for a group tp come out with positive results. While
working for the group assignment I did have some issues before because of the different views
and the different ideas that were presented by the people in my group however from this
assignment I learnt that it is important to respect and honor the ideas that are presented by others
and it is important to make a collective decision. This has helped me in understanding how to
maintain a group dynamic and how important it is to make sure that everyone gets equal
opportunity in the decision making process. Thus from the group assignment I have not only
understood the mistakes we had made as a group in the assignment but also the necessary skills
and traits that one needs to have to work in a group.
In the second assignment which is an individual assignment I had to do a stakeholder
analysis with the help of the Power/Interest Grid. While doing the stakeholder analysis I got to
know the importance of stakeholders in a business and how to map the stakeholders in different
divisions according to their power and their interest in the project. I also learnt how to analyze a
case study properly and identify the potential stakeholders in the case study. This has helped me
put in my own knowledge and analyse the stakeholders with different perspective to understand
what the effects are and the roles of the stakeholder in the project which may help the project
become a success and help the local communities in the local area of Greyville to enhance their
quality of life and develop themselves. This detailed stakeholder analysis helped me understand
the Power/Interest Grid and how the stakeholders are defined as per their power and heir interest

in a particular project. While doing the stakeholder analysis I did find it difficult in the beginning
initially however by recalling the lectures from the professors and putting in some effort I did
understand the power/ interest grid. However categorizing the stakeholders according to their
power and influence was confusing and a bit difficult. After analyzing the case study thoroughly
I could make the grid and categorize all the stakeholders according to their power and their
influence. The power/ interest grid is a great tool that helps in identifying the role of the specific
stakeholders in the business and also helps the business to understand that which stakeholders
need maximum priority and which ones have the capability to negatively impact the
organisation. On this basis the organisations and the business set out and make a plan in order to
satisfy the stakeholders and keep them informed about the necessary projects to avoid any kind
of negativity and also to make sure that the project does not suffer and operates successfully to
achieve the main goal or objective of the project which is to enhance the Greyville and help the
people of the town to lead a healthy and high quality life.
The overall group project as well as the individual assignment has helped me in both my
academics and practically. While making the project I have been able to use my full knowledge
that I have acquired from the course as well from the lectures of the professors in my course. The
group assignment has helped me in understanding how to behave in a group and how to work in
a group to create a cohesive team. In recent times most organisations put emphasis on team work
in order to facilitate work in a given time and also to gain several ideas that help bring creativity
in an organisation and thus this group assignment has helped me develop the necessary skills like
adjustment and patience that will help me later in the future in my career and will also help me in
leading my own team when I work in some other organisation. The second assignment has
helped me learn how to manage and categorize stakeholders in terms of their power and

influence which is important in every organisation. Both the assignments helped me in various
ways, it helped me both acquire theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge which has
not only helped me in understanding the concepts and the different ways of writing assignments
but has also helped me in developing and enhancing my personal skills which an essential and
vital part. With the experience I gained from the group assignment and the knowledge about
stakeholders I hope that I would become a competent employee and utilize these learnings
efficiently to become productive and which will contribute to my career development.
