INTRODUCTION
There are the different set of skills which are required to work within an organisation or in
personal life. These are helpful to make sure that the work or the job which is provided is done
effectively (Sammut, Daanen and Moghaddam, 2013). To perform any set of rules, it requires
attributes that enable to support the firm and important for the growth as an individual. With this
respect, it includes skills like communication, decision making, leadership, problem-solving,
listening, presentation, etc. All these skills contribute effectively towards the growth and
personal development and to support the firm in achieving their goals and objectives.
Different skills or attributes that is identified as part of module
As per the finding, it is being identified that there are four main skills which I possess. With this
respect, from the module I got to identify, there are certain skills which I possess, and these skills
are highly beneficial for my personal development. In this context, I identified that I possess
problem solving, decision making, time management and presentation skills.
Definition and describing core skills
Problem-solving skills: In personal life and professional life, there are a different set of
issues or problem that are faced. To overcome those, it is important to have problem-solving
skills. In this context, it requires skills which enable to identify the main cause of any issues and
to list out a different alternative way that will be helpful to come over to the problem (Baron-
Cohen, Lombardo and Tager-Flusberg, 2013). To overcome any problem, it is essential that one
has the convincing and logical thinking which help to make others understand and make them
trust that the solution will help to solve the issue. Within the organization, problems arise when
there are differences in opinion. This raise conflict situation and to resolve it, it requires one to
possess problem-solving skills so that he/she will be able to make all the parties understand and
they can solve the conflict.
Decision-making skills: There are cases in which one gets confused to select the most
suitable option which will enable them to provide a suggestion or to guide others or for any other
aspect. As per this skill, it aims at analysing the situation over decision needs to be made. At all
the aspect of life, it is important that decision is taken. At growing stage, one takes help from
their parents than friends, guardian, etc. (Munevar, Cole and Haacke, 2014). However, there are

body language, etc. which enables to make a presentation.
Why I might have these skills
I possess these skills because of the module, and the seminar sessions that was conducted helped
me to identify the areas in which I am good at. The module enables me to develop personal
development plan. In which all the areas that in lack were identified and then I get to make the
evaluation, and I got to know that I poses these four skills. There were the different set of
situations given in which was able to identify that I possess decision-making problem-solving
skills. Further, to make others understand, it is important to have proper interaction or
communication skills, and this helped me to know that I have the effective, convincing power
that influence others to listen, understand and make a decision accordingly.

communication, facial expression, body language, etc. Among all these, I need to improve on
body language and facial expression. Only with communication skills, it is difficult for one to
make others engaged with the topic. In this context, both these areas need to be improved so that
the presentation skills can be enhanced.

staying healthy, etc. Among all these, there are cases in which I fall sick and this increases the

is required. This will help them to develop strategies or list out ways that can help them in
enhancing the performance level. Different people have diverse ways through which they get to
develop and enhance their skills. With this respect, below given are information about Honey
and Mumford. This is a type of learning style that enables to develop skills and learning. There
are about four distinct learning styles which are as follows:
Activist: These are the type of people who develop their understanding from a different
type of situation they face. They have an open mind and make sure that all the thinks which they
have knowledge are implemented. These people generally learn from problem solving,
brainstorming, group discussion, etc.
Theorist: They aim to understand the main reason for any type of issue. They apply,
models, theories and facts to evaluate the situation. They love to learn new things. These people

studies, problem-solving, discussion, etc.

and the performance level. The communication skill that I possess will enable to identify the
issues or problems that are faced by other workers. Accordingly, steps can be taken with the help
of which healthy environment can be developed. Further, there are situations in which decisions
need to be taken in cases of any type of conflicts. To overcome the situation, it is important to
listen to all the opinions or issue that each of the parties faces. Then listening to all the parties an
appropriate solution needs to be taken and this is possible with the help of problem-solving
skills. There are cases in which presentations are taken within the organisation so that changes or
issues can be conveyed to workers. The presentation skills will help me to make others
understand the issues or the chance that management is willing to implement within the
company. Moreover, all the doubts that workers have in relation to the changes or issuers can be
clarified effectively and efficiently.
