Introduction
Self-reflective journal has a purpose to represent the thinking process about any
experience by indicating the key aspect and concerns. Evaluating both, positive and
negative aspects of the experience are important. In order to illustrate the topic for
handling the group presentations and strategies, the study will address the
development process for future. The study will focus on self-reflection regarding
presentation and individual aspects while addressing areas of development.
Discussion
While in my group, I processed a group presentation during my academic course. I
worked with a team consisting of 5 members. I faced some issues as well while working
on group presentation. I have found that the team conflict and miscommunication were
the main issues while being in a team. As per the view of Widder et al. (2018), effective
and proper strategies can help a team to build teamwork and overcome the issues
while integrating the situation analysis in order to avoid it again in future. I think that
every experience has both positive and negative aspects, which needs to be involved
for better outcomes in the future. I found that I have little issues in interaction and
communication with others to demonstrate my feelings and conception regarding the
presentation. I have lack of communication skills, team-leading skills. From the group
presentation, it is clear that I need to improve on those skills. I faced problems during
individual viva and team meeting for setting resources and topic during group
presentation. During our presentation, I prepared the task of collecting picture and
structure for the one part, which was allocated for me. It was difficult that I could not
share my point of view and convince my team members.
While conducting team task, one of my team members was not helping and cooperating
with me in the regards while establishing the group presentation. While conducting the
group presentation of 2 weeks, I found that I have strong skill to work under pressure,
technical and creative skills. When developing the group presentation, it is important to
interpret the scenario and strategies that are used to complete the group presentation.
There are several strategies to evaluate the team presentation by avoiding the negative
aspects in team. Team dynamics are needed to involve to carry out the analysis and

operation for operating different people in a team (Levi, 2015). Team dynamics are
invisible force that is effective in influencing the performance of people in a team. I think
that applying this strategy was helpful and positive side of the team performance. The
team dynamics operates by following the team management to break down barriers
and communication development.
While experiencing the group presentation, I faced that two of my team members were
helpful regarding communicating and interacting with seniors and me. There is positive
side that the team members were helpful to conduct the presentation. I found my
strengths regarding performing the group presentation. Again, team conflicts were
found as negative side of the experiences during the team presentation. I think that
team building and team dynamics can be used to improve the lacking areas. There are
several strategies including knowing the team, tackling the problem quickly,
defining the responsibilities and roles, breaking down the barriers, focusing on
communication and paying attention to concentrate on the avoiding the weaknesses
(Widder et al., 2018). I think that this strategies are important for encouraging people
and share them anonymously. While performing the group presentation, I think due to
lack of communication, ineffective decision-making capacity and team handling are my
weakness while I can manage the skills by implementing technical skills and working
under pressure for improving the team scenario. It is considered to encourage the
people by discussing with the team members regarding improvement.
Team management skills are important to boost the presentation that I faced while
working with others. Building team culture and communication practices can be
considered to enhance team performance (Dyer Jr, 2015). From my negative
experience, I can make improvements in my own lacking skills so that I can perform
better in future. While facing team conflicts, I need to maintain my own strengths for
improving whole team along with my own skills. It is important to focus on my
experiences in order to apply in future time.
Conclusion
The reflective journal is based on describing the experience that I have learnt during
team presentation. It helps individual for following and developing the skills and areas
