Abstract
The demand of data centers continue to increase
in the recent times. The use of sensors are
mainly used within the data centers for solving
the different kinds of constraints. The impact of
SBIS are mainly been used for supporting
different requirement of the business. This
includes the monitoring of temperature, heat,
smoke and security. The full utilization of the
information systems and sensor technology
would be necessary for improving the
operational, environmental and economic
performance of the various kinds of systems.
Data centers are defined as one of the business
facilities that comprise of two kinds of platforms
such as critical site support platform (CSSP) and
information and communication technology
platform (ICTP). The data centers make use of
Sensor Based Information Systems (SBIS) for
the purpose of enabling different kinds of
practices. SBIS plays a major role in data
centers to increase the maximum form of
efficiency based on data center airflow
management, load within computer resources
and power management (Zhang et al. 2014).
The primary consequences of the making use of
SBIS within data centers are:
They would help in prevention of
overcooling, corrosion, short circuits and
electrostatic discharge
The use of sensors would also prove to be
helpful for reducing the costs of operations,
improve uptime of the business and also
increase the capacity of the future growth of
the business
They would also be helpful for saving the
costs of energy based on upward charge
within the temperature of baseline (Baccarelli
et al. 2016)
The impact of SBIS would also help in
monitoring the performance of the CPU based
on allowing the operators to monitor
performance
