What is sensor technology?
• A sensor is device for detecting and responding to
certain inputs from the physical environment.
• The sensors transform the physical parameters into
the signal that can be calculated electrically.
• These physical parameters can be speed and heart
rate of a person.
• There are different characteristics of the sensors.
These features must be considered at a time of
selecting the sensors (Dave, et. al, 2016).
Sensors in manufacturing-
• The Sensors play a significant role in the production
for the years, however until in recent times they have
greatly controlled by the problems like noise due to
the system, signal reduction, in addition to response
dynamic (Park, et. al, 2019).
• In recent time, the incorporation of local measuring
powers as well as Internet of Things has transformed
the normal sensor into smart sensor to have difficult
calculation on calculated data close by in the sensor
module.
Recommendations
• The sensors can improve the world by contributing in manufacturing.
• Choosing a proper sensor technology can reduce the stocks by ending requirements for different sensor
models. In this way, the sensors play the technically as well as reasonably viable role in the IoT environment.
• The original equipment manufacturers should select the sensors having best and appropriate characteristics.
• It is required by The original equipment manufacturers to take the best alternate strategies, approaches and
technologies for the better experiments.
• The OEMs should be alert in selecting the sensors as per their characteristics (Iwabuchi and Motoyoshi, 2015).
