INTRODUCTION
Project management is a process in which manager forms strategies to hit desired targets
in an efficient manner. This includes, initiatives, plans, executions, control of time and etc. Child
youth department of United Kingdom has formed a policy to help the kids and young people to
who are suffering from Spectrum of Autism (Creating A Sensory Garden – Ideas And Plants For
Sensory Gardens. 2018). Syndrome is a couple number of disorder in which children faces so
many problems which are related to communication and social behaviour with other people.
Sensory Garden, This assignment is going to include, Time management, various methodologies
(Azeem and et. al., 2011), cost development plans, life cycle expenditures which will help in
achieving goals and objectives in a set time frame.
Overview of the project
This project is based on policy which has been made by government of United Kingdom
to help new born babies, children or young kids who are suffering from Autism Spectrum
disorder. Main objective of Child Youth Department (CYD) is to give proper education from
different learning styles so that minors can develop in both ways mentally and physically and
become talented within the society. In Sundbyoster area, CYD planned to open Sensory Garden.
This will create a healthy and positive environment in the area and apart from this (Blas,
Sommerfeld and Kurup, 2011), Teachers can bring autistic children in this garden in order to
educate them about the nature and it can also help them in improving their behaviour.
Project implementation
Project has been developed find out issues and help kids that have autism. At this point
Government of United Kingdom took an initiative and planted variety of flowery plants and
vegetables in their gardens at different areas. Away from this, they also included some fountains
at the same region so that autistic children can see many colours at place. Local people of
Sundbyoster can also aid in various ways in developing Sensory Garden like, things at their
home which are not useful but if they thing that this can become a helpful element at the garden.
This can aid in giving opportunities in creating a more healthy and adventures garden.

Project benefits
This project can help in various ways like developing knowledge of pupils who have
autism. Sensory Gardens can improvise senses of children which are related to their touch, taste,
sight and etc. Apart from this, it will also put positive impact on different areas like they will
start feeling more confident while having conversations with other kids or people. Teachers can
develop their skills with ample number of innovative ideas so that they can get in touch with real
life. Government has made these gardens to enhance pupils cognitions which helps in surviving
in real life.
Objective :- Enhancing behaviour and habits by focusing on potential of autistic children.
According to views of Burford, (2017), it is analysed that in Sundbyoster area the
percentage of children who have autism is rapidly enhancing thus, it is mandatory for
governmental agencies to form policies and take initiatives in which better learning can be given
to pupils. In the year of 2007, first initiative which was taken by authorities was to make Sensory
gardens for kids. In these gardens included so many things like colourful walls, plants which
have flowers with good fragrance and etc. Sensory Garden helps in enhancing sight, touch, taste
and sound abilities of children.
Stakeholders :
These are the people who plays an important role while forming out a plan or project. In
this context, stakeholder can be government, workers, creditors and etc. Project manager needs
to find out ways by which stakeholder become much effective while making Sensory Garden.
They are the one who gets affected by different sort of actions which can be done in a project as
a whole. Directors which can be termed as a stakeholder can aid in taking important decisions
that gives better opportunities to educate Autistic children in a proper manner.
Governance :
Government can aid in many ways like they can form new rules and regulations in
bettering the current positions of marketplace and etc. Away from this, while forming out
Sensory Garden at Sundbyoster area governmental agencies can help through providing funding
to project managers, giving them tools which are not easily available at marketplace and etc.
They can also provide medicines at events if needed at gardens. Making policies which are in
favour of autistic children can be one of the main objective in this context.s
These are the factors which needs to be considered while formulating this type garden:

Sight : One of the main element which needs to be taken care while designing a Sensory
Garden as it should be colourful in nature. Autistic children will learn in a fast way if they get an
environment which is healthy and full of colours. Apart from this, they should also keep an eye
on not using ample number of colours in a small area.
Sound : Another factor in which improvisation of listening skills can be developed of
children who have disorders like autism. Morning breeze and sound of leaves, grass and etc., can
help in enhancing this element in kids.
Smell : There are various kind of scents which can be found in all the plants and
materials within the garden. Mainly the better plants have common scent like lavender, mint and
honeysuckle. it is highly to opt out for the best kind of scent which can attach a compliment for
the sensory garden while planning for the perfect scents. beside this try to combine the various
scents which can make new kind of scents and thus that can keep the senses much more
interesting (Chaffin and et. al., 2012).
Taste : Taste might be a more subtle sense to speak to with tactile garden, yet it can be
incorporated some palatable blossoms in the garden. It may be best to keep the majority of the
eatable plants in a similar region, so as not to befuddle anybody on what can and can't be eaten.
You could likewise incorporate some more clear eatable plants, for example, natural product
trees and hedges, or tomatoes and strawberries. A best tip from us would be a raspberry hedge,
simple to develop and a mainstream delectable natural product.
Touch : This is also one of an important part which needs get develop in children in
proper sort of manner. Here, element which can affect mostly is Lamb's ear plant. Away from
this, Jerusalem, different textures can also helps in enhancing senses of kids (Dorsey and et. al.,
2017).
It is teachers responsibility to find out potentials of kids and give them training where
they need improvement. Recently, it has been found that Autism can be of different types. Thus,
it is highly essential to find out what exact type of autism the kid is having so that better
decisions can be taken to develop them so that they can survive in real life and come over from
autism. Pupils who are suffering from this type of disorders it has been found that they are more
intelligent than normal children.
Time management :
3
Document Page
This type of management continuously looks into various aspects which is related to
managing all the activities on specified timed frame. This helps managers in coming to a
conclusion effectively and efficiently. Here, while evaluating, planning and making strategies of
project management plan it took almost 3 months of time period. While making determinations,
managers faces so many sort of problems by coming to a conclusion becomes hard. It takes time
because mostly parents do not know about their children that they are suffering from autism.
Apart from this, proper information cannot get pulled out as people don't feel like giving
personal details about their children (Freeborn and et. al., 2013). They feel miserable and
insecure because of different sort doubts. But, it is also important for management to fix time of
every single activity. Fixing time from initial level helps managers to get to a conclusion in both
effective and efficient way.
Majorly, time management includes different sort of themes and these are mentioned beneath:
Form a type of environment which pulls up effective situations.
After this, priorities needs to get set.
Finishing up activities on the basis of precedence.
The process of reducing time of things which have less priorities.
Superior will provide incentives to subordinates as it works motivation for them so that
they can finish their targets in a set time frame.
Development of Cost :
This cost which can be faced by managers while, doing research, growing, introducing
facilities which is going to be formed by project management plan and etc. Developing cost
includes various sort of elements which are related to expenses like, analysis of market, forming
strategies, utilisation of tools and techniques. On the other hand, this can be understood as cost
which has been incurred from starting of plan to finishing up the project. All the expenses which
has been done while executing a plan can be considered as operational cost (Hesse-Biber, 2011).
In this context, government took various actions to make Sensory Garden at Sundbyoster
area which arose huge cost from starting of plan to finish so that better conclusions can be taken
from them. A proper budget can be made by them in a proper sort of manner. By this, wastage of
money can be reduced and person can utilise cost in an optimistic way. These Sensory garden
will improvise abilities and capabilities of children who are facing issues which are related to

autism. Away from this, management can take advice from other areas where people have
already made Sensory Garden.
Life cycle cost analysis :
This can be understood as the tool by which manager can find out best result option. In
other words, this part pulls up as the most cost effective option. For an example: while planting
plants at Sensory garden management remove extra elements which are not coming in use. This
also given an opportunity to executives to prepare a plan which is best suitable for the desired
objective. Apart from this, functions that are related to this plan may also help supervisors to
form future programmes as well. But, it is hard to perform LCCA because it becomes difficult
for managers that what should be removed and vice versa (Holt, 2016). While formulating a plan
management can take help of agencies which already have expertise in the same sector. Under
this project, it is best suitable it won't cost much to investigator.
TARGETING:
Performance indicator is a process in which management can measure the effectiveness
of the plan while hitting the targets. Away from this, it can also aid in doing different sort of
analysis by which modifications can be made so that desired objectives can be achieved in most
efficient way. Under this, manager formed a plan in which he/she can evaluate look into various
aspects which are related to stakeholders. Here, executives can target people who are looking to
invest in doing social welfares. A proforma can be introduced by management in which they can
find out results that how many stakeholders got influenced with the plan (Jacquez, Vaughn and
Wagner, 2013). So that better education can be given to autistic children.
Hence, Child Youth department is rapidly making policies that aiding autistic children
and their parents (Reynolds and Fletcher-Janzen, 2013). They are mainly, focusing on
developing knowledge and skills of kids who are suffering from spectrum of autism. Away from
this, education can be given at outdoor units like, Sensory Garden. This type of Garden has been
made by people in order to developing pupils in a healthier and proper way. This also helped,
European Government in reducing the percentage of autistic kids in all over country. Thus, they
decided to make same sort of areas at Sundbyoster which may help children who are facing same
issues at that place. Away from this, manager who have formed plan in context of focusing
potential of children (Lerner and Spanier, 2013). This gave support while finding out their skills

and knowledge that they already have. This whole thing, improvised socialism, playfulness with
other kids in normal world.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned report, it has been concluded that, project management plan
can aid managers in hitting targets in both effective and efficient manner. Supervisor can
implement so many elements while forming out an objective and then can expect many better
results. Manager can use different hypothesis and strategies by intellectual ideas and this can
help in finding out appropriate and expected results. Sensory Garden, can easily help kids who
are suffering from Autism in various ways in Sundbyoster area. Different types of learnings can
be given at Sensory garden so that pupils don't feel isolated while sitting with others. Teachers
and parents both can help autistic children by making them feel good and can educate them about
colours, touches, taste, smell and etc so that they can survive in this world.
