Introduction:
The purpose of South East Queensland Regional Plan 2009-2031(SEQ) helps in improving the
growth of the region and to bring the latest changes in best possible sustainable ways for
increasing the standard of living and also for leading better life in that region. The administration
of the state reviewed the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2005-2026 for taking every
necessary action to detect the emerged problems in the issue of the management and to take care
of the growth of the region. The Regional Plan of SEQ refines and modifies the directions,
principles and policies of the Regional Plan of SEQ 2005. For instance the population strength
and the plan for building residential project have been stretched up to 2031 for implementation
of services of accommodation in the region of SEQ.
Discussion:
Yes, it will extend and build the work of its precursors. The only reason behind it has reached to
25 years to 2004, and the population of residence of SEQ has been tremendously increased from
1.5 million to 2.5 million. The density of the population is increasing, and as a result the demand
for accommodation and also the need for the residential project is trending to be developed for
future growth for enhancing the liveability and the living standard of the region. The SEQ
Regional Plan has been established in the year of 2005 was provided with provisions for
monitoring the growth and change in the SEQ Regional Plan. The important features that
included in the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2005-2026 are as follows:
It notifies the local administration programs concerning infrastructure and provides strong
assurance to sectors which are isolated. It intertwines the SEQ regional along with the structure
and service delivery. It supports the growth in the Western Corridor and helps in distributing the

plot of land for the growth of accommodation in the future concerning urban life. SEQ Regional
Plan classifies the trail of the urban life for regulating the expansion of the unplanned regional
plan. It also helps in developing the density of the urban formation.
The South East Queensland Regional Plan 2009-2031 assure the growth orderly. The
global interruption and recent economic growth forecast to be continued up to 2031, and it will
continue for proper future planning. The essential strategies plotted in the Regional Plan of SEQ
for establishment of wider framework of the policies that will help in extending the regional
vision and growth of the management. It extends its work plan for defending the landscape of
SEQ and also in developing most sustainably. An essential strategy of the SEQ Regional Plan is
to identify the change in climate and the vulnerability in the oil supply which helps in the rural
trade. The regional plan works for development of infrastructure for employing in future and for
providing residences for future generation. The Regional plan of SEQ helps in production in
rural areas and for development in the west side. The plan helps in delivering regional
accessibility and smarter growth. It creates a stronger series of communal relation and evenly
distributes the infrastructure and several services. It extends its work for supporting health care
services.
Strategies and Goals in shaping SEQ:
SEQ Regional Plan builds a way for living in a sustainable area and provides ways to reduce
ecological trace for enhancing the standard of living. SEQ’s rural and natural field works to
provide support for environmental production in the rural areas and establishment of scenic
function and the development of culture. The supply of oil vulnerability is never-ending which
strongly affects the liveability and affordability in SEQ. The regional plan of SEQ decreased the

essential need for fuel and oil by reducing the habit of using vehicles and car. Growth in
population and employment is distributed equally throughout the region of SEQ that helps in
providing an ability for accessing and choosing the increase in strength in the region of SEQ.
Measures:
The Regional Plan of SEQ increased the work efficiency by reusing the plots of urban areas that
have been used and those who are ready to be reused. It provides far better service to
communities with a local character and distinctive identity. It extends its work concerning the
accommodation increment and communal growth for increasing the standard of living in the
areas that are growing rapidly. It maintains the growth management for the betterment of the
future generation in SEQ. The regional plan is developing for increment in the stronger and
sustainable communal relation to continue and maintain the involvement in health, character and
liveability in the particular region of SEQ. The interpretation in the Planning Regulation guide is
mentioned in Section 41A and 41B. Section 41A mentions the decision if any development is
required apart from the footprint of SEQ. Section 41B mentions the if there is any requirement of
enhancement for overriding the public interest.
Conclusion:
This essay concludes that the mentioned factors and the strategies measures and goals in properly
shaping of SEQ will provide significant future and better strength. It will help in avoiding the
growth-related problems that are continuous. The regional plan of SEQ is the most awarding
plan and will be successful for avoiding the issues SEQ is facing.
