Timothy – 3:10 – 4:5
The psalm Timothy 3:10 – 4:5 is used to refer to the teachings which God has asked
his follower named Timothy to impart to his followers. The Psalm tells the readers about the
kind of teaching which God had charged Timothy. It forms one of the most important psalms
in the The Old Testament informs the readers about the various psalms and what God in fact
wanted to teach his followers in The Old Testament, which God had imparted to Timothy.
This is what the essay will explore in the manuscript of then sermon for the readers.
The purpose of this manuscript is to create a sermon for the Timothy 3:10 – 4:5
as found in The Old Testament.
The Old Testament deals with the psalm Timothy 3:10-4:5 which tells the readers
about the teachings which God had informed to Timothy about. The disciples of God will be
able to know about the teachings of Timothy, his way of life and his faith. The disciples of
God will also get to know about the persecutions, sufferings and the endurance of Timothy
and all the things that have happened to God in the places like that of Antioch, Inocium and
that of Lystra. These are the areas in which Timothy had endured persecutions from the
people of the areas. However, it is through his belief in God, that Timothy was able to
overcome all of his sufferings and God had saved him from his sufferings.
The disciples of God should be warned form the teachings of Timothy in the Psalm
3:10 – 4.5 that the people who had decide to live in a Godly life will be persecuted for
keeping their faith in Jesus Christ. In the similar manner, the disciples of God must be aware
about the evil and the wrong doers and how their actions will become more will and hence
they will be persecuted more for their actions. However, the Psalm of Timothy urges the
followers of God to work on the things that they know best because it is the things that they

know best which will help them in their lives itself. This is because Timothy urges the
disciples that the scriptures are for God himself and that God will protect the disciples from
any kind of harm falling on these disciples.
Timothy further goes to describe how the Psalms and the teachings of the Psalms are
said to be the breath of God himself. That is why it is being sad in the Psalms of God can be
used by the disciples as a method of thinking, reading and rebuking, correcting themselves
and also in the process of training themselves correctly in the manner of God. This is
essential for the disciples of God because it will prepare them to carry out their righteous
nature.
The Psalm of Timothy then also mentions to the disciples of the God about the
judgement of the living and the dead in the presence of Jesus Christ, the God Almighty. In
this regard, the Psalm of Timothy says that God had given him the responsibility of passing
judgement on the actions of the living and the dead in the presence of Jesus Christ. Timothy
goes on to tell the readers about God had also given him the charge to preach the message of
God to the disciples. What this message means for the disciples of God is the fact that the
because God had given him the charge of preaching the message to the disciples, therefore it
is only natural that God also expects Timothy to be prepared for all kinds of trouble both
during the season and the off season, correct as well as to scold the disciples so that they are
able to learn the ways of the God correctly.
The Psalm of Timothy then puts a word of warning to the disciple of God the fact that
there will be a time when the disciples themselves will not obey the command of God in a
sound manner. The Psalm also warns and urges Timothy and his disciples to follow the
actions of God more perfectly. It also warns the disciples about the time when humans will
act on greed and selfishness. In this time, these people will gather around only those leaders

of religion who will teach them knowledge about greed and selfishness. Timothy further
warns the disciples that the people will not listen to the teachings of truth and stay away from
myths. It is here that the Psalm urges Timothy to remain calm and to perform his work as an
evangelist, and to give up on the duties of the Ministry which he performed.
