Psalm 91
This psalm, Psalm 91 itself tells the audience about how God always protects his
followers from danger itself. The Psalm will inform the audience about God almighty and
how God himself looks after his followers during their time of danger. The Psalm is
considered to be a regular part of the Jewish, Christian, Anglican and Protestant liturgies
among the people of the world itself. The Psalm helps the audience to understand the
message of God and what the message preaches to the audience about the wishes of God
himself.
The purpose of this manuscript is to develop a sermon based on the Psalm 91
from The Old Testament.
In The Old Testament, Psalm 91 offers the audience an example of how to seek the
protection of God. It says that the person who is pure of heart and reside without committing
a single crime in his life, will be under the care of The God Almighty. It says that God
himself is all powerful, mighty and it is God who serves as the shelter for the person who
needs him. God also acts as a fortress who protects the poor and the needy from any kind of
harm which comes to them. The God is one and only supreme being in the Universe itself. It
is God who receives trust and respect from his followers and in return, it is he who will
protect the innocent and the needy from the harmful approaches of the sinner.
God will keep the pestilence and all sorts of troubles away from his followers and
disciples. The followers of God Almighty will feel protected under the wings of God himself,
and it is under the wings of God that the human beings will learn to trust the power of God
himself. God will teach his followers to use the weapon of truth as their shield and buckler.
Using God’s weapon of truth, his disciples need not be afraid of any arrow which flies at
them during the day time nor any kind of danger which might harm them at night-time. God

will protect his people any kind of danger whether it is in the darkness of night or at the time
of noon.
If the people of the world keep their trust and faith in God himself, they will not even
be affected at the time of wars. Lots of people will die in the war themselves, however, the
disciples of God will have no harm coming to them. Faith and trust in the power of God, they
will be able to see the falseness in the actions of the wrongdoer in the society itself. The
disciples will also notice how the power of God metes out punishments to the wicked and the
actions which they inflict on the followers of God.
The disciples of God have made him their refuge. In addition to this, God is also the
highest form of habitation of the followers. If the followers of God take refuge ibn this
habitation, they will not be affected by any kind of evil which might harm them, nor will they
be affected by any kind of plague which affects the people of the world itself. The followers
of God will be saved because the angels of God will serve as the guardians of the disciples.
The angels will protect the disciple of God from any harm befalling them. If the disciple
would hurt their feet against a stone, the angels will lift him up and carry him to relieve him
of any kind of pain. The angels will protect the disciple from the lion and also the dragon,
which will trample under the feet of God himself.
It is because God loves his followers so much, that the followers will also equally
love God back. It is just because God knows the name of the followers of God himself that
God that the followers will deliver the name of God. Just because God loves and protects his
disciples, it is necessary that the disciples of God also abide by the commands and the wishes
of God on the disciples themselves. God will call his disciples in his hour of need and it is
necessary6y for the disciple of God to stay with God at the time of trouble: to work with God
when God commands him to do so. As the disciples of God, it is necessary for the disciples to

love and honour God himself. It is through the service to God himself, that the disciples can
reach the point of salvation in their lives.
