Features of network operating systems:
o Linux OS/2:
o The portability indicates that the software are able to be active on various kinds of
hardware similarly. On the application programs and Linux Kernel is able to support

o Novell Netware:
o It consists of firewall support, particular SITE commands, anonymous access for

numerous examples of NetWare FTP server software and secure Login.
o Unix Ware:
o This involves the networking, multitasking ability, application compatibly, GUI or
graphical user interface (GUI) and the multi-user capability. Apart from that it
provides the support of multiprocessors (Wu et al. 2019).
o MS Windows NT:
o There is the interface that consists of Windows 95 interface and various features such
as start button, network neighborhood, briefcase, explorer and taskbar. Next, there is
the networking, capabilities of messaging, remote management, RAS or Remote
Access Services, Security, Application support and multimedia and graphics.
o MS Windows Server 2000/ Net:

lesser OS scenarios of reboot. Apart from that Windows Installer can track the
applications and is able to determine and replace the components that are missing.
Besides, it can protect the individual applications and distinct processes for avoiding
single app to bring the system down. Apart from that the encrypted file system can
secure the sensitive information. The secured VPN or Virtual private Network can
support the tunneling to private LAN in the public Internet. The personalized menus
are been adapting to the way ne make activities and the multilingual version permits
the User interface and useful to switch on the basis of login. Besides, this involves the
wider support for the devices that are of high-speed networking involving cable
modems and ATM. Further, this supports USB or the Universal Serial and IEEE 1394
for devices of higher bandwidth (Odagiri et al. 2018).
o MS Exchange Server 2010:
o This comprises of the connectivity of client access, disaster recovery and great
availability, performance developments and large availability and compliance with
protection.

o Red-Hat Enterprise Server:
o It provides the control and built-in security and 999.99% uptime. One can trust Linux
experts with containers of the Linux. Besides, it has benchmark-breaking type of
performances and access towards innovation (Kandov, Aleksandrov and Mitev 2018).
o Linux Terminal Services:

o The Apache is the free and IIS can be packaged with the Windows. The IIS could be
just run on the Windows and Apache runs mainly on any kind of operating system
and UNIX maximum Linux Distribution and Apple’s OS X. Besides, ASPX can only
run in IIS and it has dedicated employee for answering maximum issues supporting
for the Apache coming from that community.
o Novel Border Manager:
o This comprise of LPO the Login Policy object in the NDS. This is for the centralized
administration for the authentication for the proxy users, BorderManager
Authentication Servers or RADIUS clients and VPN users. Besides, it has been
supporting for the ActivCard Inc. authentication of token including capability of
storing and managing ActivCard/Novell smart card assignments within NDS for the
SOCK 5 clients, RADIUS clients, proxy users and VPN users. Besides, has the built-

o This comprise of naming, schema, entry management, NDS personalities,
authentication, authorization, local event services and relationship management.
o HP Open view:
o This delivers the views of network under the intuitive graphical form. Besides, this
finds the network devices and delivers the map for illustrating the network structure
and status of segments and devices.
o SAP:
o This monitors the human costs, processes of the invoices, recording the services of
external management, gathers data plans and sheets, sustain the progress and
planning, confirms the orders of service management, records the service of external
employees and invoice of process.
o MS Terminal Server:
o This brings the Windows 2000 to the desktops quicker with core implementation of
the applications and the remote type of administration (Odagiri et al. 2017).
Main functions of Server OS:
This has the ability of accessing server both under GU and the interface at command-level.
One can execute all or maximum of the process coming from the OS commands, deploy or install
the business applications and web applications. Besides, there are the advanced level of software,
hardware and services of network configurations.

Ways the Server OS can handle the resource allocation and the security of the access:
The resource allocators acts as the resource manager and then allocates those resource to
particular users and programs as needed for the activities. Being the part of control program this can
maintain execution of the user programs for preventing the errors and enhance the usage of the
systems. The resource allocating in managing project is vital since it provides the clear cut picture on
the quantity of tasks that are to be performed. This is also helpful for scheduling ahead and possess
insights to the progress of the team that involves the allocation of proper time for every people
present in the group (Lee et al. 2017).
