INTRODUCTION
Indigenous is one of the most common word in the world which simply means group of
people believe in first people and first nation, indigenous group follow an culture and tradition
that is different from common tradition and culture of the world impacting their lifestyle and
habit of living in western world. This report will discuss Settler Colonialism and how these
operation impact Australia and its key people (Hugill, 2017). Settler colonialism is process in
which indigenous group are replaced or remove to settle a colony of society, this is process of
removing indigenous group to use the land for better purpose and to fuel better societal
development in the nation.

What is settler colonialism? Using specific examples discuss how settler colonialism operate in
so called Australia?
Settler colonialism is process of replacing group of people to use their land for societal
development which means society might replace or remove group including indigenous group to
include better society. The process of settler colonialism includes human right violence because
mass killing of group, genocide and other major crime occur in the process, settler colonialism is
one of the worst nightmare for many groups in the world (Cavanagh and Veracini, 2017). Many
scholars argue that colonialism does not mean elimination of group but this is process of adding
settler or new group of people in the subjected area. Almost every nation has face issue of settler
colonialism in which society have consider genocide of indigenous group to settle new set of
society for betterment, Australia is one of the best example in which settler colonialism occur
due to mass demand of society. Example of such case are:

The first vessel of settler colonialism occurs in January 1788 where British settlers landed
at Botany bay on east coast of Australia, this is being first movement of settler in the country.

Government Act allowing them to introduce new settler colony on the land of indigenous
Victoria. Later split of New South Wale occur impacted the cultural society of indigenous group
in the Australia, the whole process of colonizing Australia was conveyed with the help of settler
colonialism movement in the process.
