Skill framework for the information age is a common language that is used for the skills that are
required in a digital world. These skills can help the learner identify and create development for
future success pathway. These skills are directly linked to the requirement for one to become an
ICTTech registered. SFIA framework comprises of dual dimension which includes the level of
responsibility and work (Theiet.org, 2015).
The importance of SFIA is to aid the IT professionals employers to reduce the project risk,
reduce employee turnover through maintain employees and increase the efficiency and quality of
recruitment for IT projects. Through having required skills and competencies will aid the
employers in the process of ensuring there is making of proper staff career. The SFIA enables the
IT professional employers to carry out various human resource activities against the framework
of reference that is common(Sfia-online.org, 2015). These comprise of competencies auditing,
planning for future skill requirement, programs development, and allocation of resources
(Leather, 2016)

Tritium private limited is an organization that is IT skill framework based. The organization uses
SFIA to ensure its business continuous improvement and software demand. The organization
new SFIA framework competencies to help them attain the task. There are some various set of
the skills of recent job families in IT, required by Tritium private limited.
The SFIA framework set in Tritium private limited has listed out the competencies and
knowledge that I must poses. The skills including the critical thinking, keen to details, awareness
of the organization culture and structure, strong decision-making skills and being goal oriented.
These help the job seeker knows the basic condition of any job application (Sfia-online.org,
2015).
Having a clear understanding of the SFIA framework, I would use it since it offers various
benefits to my career. They include devising a plan and identification of areas that require
development to aid in the attainment of my goals. Identify my strength and create my current

skills profile against the global standards. Understanding my current capability to plan future
moves in my career.
In my resume, I would change my personal skill part so that it can be specific. These skills I
would change to incorporate those attributes that employers look for such as, strong decision-
making skills.
