Reflection report
I have developed three skills throughout this course such as verbal/non-verbal communication,
active listening, and communication in groups. In the course that I have developed my
knowledge regarding the significance of eye contact, speaking clearly, dressing adequately and
being confident in my understanding. Along with this, active listening is developed by me by
paying more attention in detail as well as, communication procedure (McGuire, 2017).
Communication skill is enhanced by me by giving feedback to classmates as well as, answers
their questions for helping them well.
There are different aspects of business communication that I have learned throughout this course
such as email, writing cover letter, and resume. In this course, I have gained my understanding
regarding the process of email, and writing a resume and cover letter that helps me to effectively
send the email and creating a resume and cover letter (Pritchard, & Morrow, 2017). It was
interesting to me as it would help me to apply for a job.
I have observed that planning is most useful to adequately interact from a management position
to subordinates. This was interesting to me to enhance my communication skills. In ongoing
practices, I have utilized this activity more than 4 times this semester. Throughout the semester, I
have learned that people play an important role in giving feedback and it directly helps to make
improvement in myself (Li, & Deng, 2019). The benefits of using the screen-free class meetings
are to enhance skills and knowledge but, drawbacks of using this are requiring more time (Ledin,
& Machin, 2016). The benefits of editing on paper are adding more data about the experience but
drawbacks are spelling errors and sentence structuring issue. The benefits of using online editing
are less spelling errors and sentence structuring issue but take more time (Bruning, & Kauffman,

2015). From this course, I learned that in the future, I would utilize different aspects such as
planning and digital tool for editing as it would help to effectively complete my tasks.
