Safe Haven Network (SHN) has five Referral Program Ambassadors who are undergraduate.
They have been selected after some test and ability analysis. They are working to help the
victims of domestic violence and their pets. They have to be an expert on domestic violence and
the related field of it so that they are able to handle any kind of situations. As they also have to
deal with partnerships with local animal shelters for the pets. The volunteer have to spear at least
4-5 hours daily for this task. The training shall also be done in the same proportion. The training
for them will be done in 6 days period. They should be out going and organized. They have to
report to their Referral Program Director and Technology Director. They have to collect the
feedback from their community partners and report back to directors.

2019). The background of this service and the history records along with achievements.
A small booklet containing the rules and regulations related to the confidentiality level and what

Day 2

The agenda of the day 2 training will be about the importance of confidentiality that is required
in this referral program. As the volunteers will be working for the domestic violence victims they
have to understand that their leaking of information can be dangerous for the victim who wants
to be rescued. The Safe Haven Network has dedicated foster homes for the victims of domestic
violence and their pets can stay in pet shelters. They require to be assured of safety that we
intended to provide them. If incase in anyway the harsher comes to know about their intention or
the place of their stay it can be dangerous for them (Doel, and Shardlow, 2019). Thus the booklet
given has to be thorough with them. A lecture of the same topic will be given by our expert who
shall discuss every aspect that these volunteers may pass in their service.
The steps to maintain will include practical and theoretical knowledge. Like how to contact the
victim. How to transfer knowledge from the agency to the director. What to share and what not
to share. When to act and with what preparation one should act.
The last session shall be question answer round where the team will be examined about their
compatibility with the instruction booklet.
Day3

The team will be given training about the portal that they will be using for this service. The
portal training shall be given by the technology director. He will also work on the effective
communication elements that will improve their effectiveness. The onboard SHNRP partner
agencies will be taken through the online road map of how to use each links and tabs for specific
purpose (Gulrajani et al., 2017). The effectiveness of the portal will be explained by PPT
presentation and lectures. They will be taught how to feed the information on the portal, where to
navigate after feeding the info and what all things to be taken care while using the portal. They
will also be handed a hard copy booklet that they will always refer in case they get stuck at any
point.
The next training will be about the communication and the impact of correct communication.
Dealing into a delicate service of domestic violence they should be should be very careful of
