AI Summary
This report details the process of setting up Wi-Fi in a shopping mall, addressing the system requirements for a reliable and efficient network. It covers hardware and software requirements, including a user-friendly interface, compatible computer specifications, and necessary operating systems and software like Windows and MySQL Server. The report outlines both functional requirements, such as easy login and data integrity, and non-functional requirements, including system reliability and data security. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology is chosen for its high-quality, low-cost, and speed benefits, with phases including requirement planning and system data definition. The project aims to enhance the shopping experience by providing customers with easy access to information and services, while also addressing security and administrative considerations. The report also includes a literature review, Gantt chart, budgeting, project scope, feasibility analysis, risk constraint analysis, use case diagrams, network architecture, project flowchart, ER diagram, and references, offering a comprehensive overview of the project's planning and execution.

Setting up WIFI in a shopping mall
Introduction
Shopping malls deals with a lot of the products and services and the customers’ needs to know
more about the product and services. WiFi settings in the mail will assists customers to login into
the mall account where they can get some more details about sales and customers.
But for the setting up of the wifi to function well then the management of the mall should
guarantee customers a Wi-Fi of high bandwidth so that when login it will be very faster. Also
the mail will give different tiers services; prevent tenant abuse of the mall network which wills
greatly the experience of the shoppers using Wi-Fi to login into mail account. The Shopping mall
wifi solutions are usually cloud-managed and its technical support for 24/7 and it allows 1000
users to use wifi at the same time without experiencing any complications.
Hardware Requirements
The hardware requirement of the system includes the following:
i. A Friendly user interface –which will allow interaction with the user and smoothly login
can be done by all users as shown by Ali [2].
ii. A very compatible computer, the wifi settings should be run in a computer which will
have the following configurations
a. 8 GB RAM
b. 2.5 GHz dual-core CPU processor
c. 800 GB HDD
d. (900 × 700) Capable video adapter and monitor

Software Requirements
Software requirements, greatly describe the functionalities and the features of the target system.
The requirements are known or unknown, expected or unexpected and hidden or unhidden from
the clients.
The software requirements of the application are as follows:
I. Windows 7/8/8.1 32/64-bit Operating System
II. MySQL Server
III. JAVA Development Kit
IV. Friendly user interface
V. A compatible browser, for accessing the online module
Functional Requirements
A functional requirement entails data manipulation, processing, calculation and other
functionalities which will clearly define what the system will do. Generally, the functional
requirement will specify the system results as explained by Khan [4]. The setting up of Wi-Fi in
the mall so that customers can log in into the system should have the following functional
requirements.
I. The system should give the user an easier way of logging into the system.
II. The system should give a standard and reliable report for the decision making
III. Trails of audits should be realized in the system when somebody tries to make changes
IV. The system should permit mail administrators to update the viewer of shopping mail
product into the database
V. The system should provide a mechanism for checking the errors

VI. The system should give data integrity so that the data store should be accurate and
consistency
The system should provide documentation so that it can allow users to know how the system
work and any changes which is needed to be done.
Non-Functional Requirements
The non-functional requirements are a kind of requirement which can be used to the judge the
system operations instead of the specific behaviors as shown Schulz, Foto, Amorim,&
Rodrigues, [7]. The non-functional requirements are usually restricted to the quality requirement
and functional requirements. The non-functional requirement of an online voting system in the
U.S should possess the following;
i. The system should work frequently during the working hours in the mail without failing
ii. All the voting process should be done only in one day.
iii. The WI-fi setting should be done using many electronic machines which are connected
to the computer so that any login process can be monitored can be monitored
iv. The data backup and restoration of data should be guaranteed in the system
v. The systems should be in apposition of meeting the requirements of the mail
Methodology
The methodology which was chosen is Rapid applications development (RAD) since this method
objectives include high quality, lowered cost and high speed. A RAD method focuses on the use
of special techniques and computer tools so that they can analyze a higher speed and also for
implementations and designs as explained by Rura, & Haldar [3]. The tools which will be used

include Joint Application Design (JAD), Computer-assisted software engineering and
programming languages from the 4th generations. The RAD Methodology has various phases
which include:
Phase 1
The requirement planning: this refers to reviewing of the areas associated with the proposed
system. These areas associated with the Wi-Fi settings will entail;
i. User identification – the proposed system should schedule shopping by going through the
following. Customers across the online shopping portal and will log on based on
customers identifications numbers to view shopping page mail the shopping pages as
shown by Halderman, & Teague [2].
ii. Customers Authentication-this is a secure way of validating the customers before they
started shopping.
iii. Data verification and collections- before the shopping process starts customers can be
verified and data can be recorded into the memory
iv. Data communication- The proposed system to operate on the internet to allow shopping
in every location.
Phase 2
This phase will utilize different software modeling tools to define system data and processes.
Conclusion
This project was created to implement a more reliable system which could be used for the
shopping process of all customers all over the country. The easier login due to WiFi setting will
help the customers to find more the products and services the shopping malls are dealing with as
shown by Wei Zhao & Luo [3]. The system will be free of any fraud, the system should be

more trustable, and which is faster and it will enable the customers’ to check the mails products
and services before they could start voting. The use of simple password will help the current and
new customers to connect into the mall account and see the current activities taking place thus
customers will get informed of the new products and services in the mall due to the setting up of
Wi-Fi .The system is of more beneficial since it protects and secure the integrity of the shopping
mall processes in the all regions in the country as elaborated in [5]. Also, it will reduce the
administrative work and also improving the services which are giving to their customers.
Before executing the system then various factors should be put in place which includes the
functional and non-functional requirements, hardware and software requirements and much other
consideration which will help to enhance the working g of the system as explained by Kumar [6].
