This report investigates the negative impact of poverty on the people of Sierra Leone. Using a descriptive research design and an inductive approach, the study collected primary data through a questionnaire administered to 30 government officials. The findings reveal that a significant portion of the population struggles to meet basic needs, and poverty is perceived as high compared to other African states. Key contributing factors identified include lack of education, overpopulation, and epidemic diseases. The report concludes that improving education, utilizing natural resources effectively, and providing basic facilities are crucial for poverty reduction. The study recommends government support for education and strategic use of natural resources to boost development and alleviate poverty in Sierra Leone.

INTRODUCTION
The poverty in the world is not new topic. Here are many people in the world who are
living the under poverty lines and they have to face many types of problems. There are many
factors which cause the impact of poverty in the states (Ansumana and et.al., 2015). Due to lack
of the basic facilities, education and different types of civil wars has created major impact on the
people and their life. Along with this some other factors such as corruption and lack of
development facilities are also leads to poverty in many nations. In the present report conduct
research on the negative impact on of poverty on the people life on Sierra Leone.
Background of study
In the world the lack of many facilities leads to poverty, due to this problem many people
ae facing problems. There are many types of factors which leads to people towards the poverty.
Lack of infrastructure facilities, not receiving proper education all this make individuals to
deepened on other. Along with this in many nations it is also found that lack of government
interest are also leads to many types of problems (Jefferson, 2014). The present research is
based on the negative impact of poverty which faced by people of Sierra Leone. Itc is part of the
Africa state. This state is full of natural resources, people cannot use these opportunities because
of the civil war which beigun in 1191. The present report make research on the To understand
the negative impact faced by people due to poverty at Sierra Leone.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
Aim “To understand the negative impact faced by people due to poverty: A study
on Sierra Leone”
Objectives
 To determined the development that are taking place in Sierra Leone
 To understand the opportunities that prevail in Sierra Leone to local people.
 To understand the support of non profit organizations to local people.

 To recommend strategies through which rate of poverty can be reduced.
Research Questions:
 What are the development that are taking place in Sierra Leone ?
 What are the opportunities that prevail in Sierra Leone to local people ?
 What are the support of non profit organizations to local people ?
From the above given developed aim and objectives, it will be helpful enough to make
sure that proper path through which determined outcome can be achieved. For the current
research. Further, objectives set are effective enough to determine the type of developments that
are taking place within cited place.
METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH
This section includes different type of tools ans techniques which has been used by
researcher to make research on the poverty and it negatives impact. Following are techniques
which has been used by researcher to make research.
Research design
In order to make research a descriptive research design has been used by th investigator.
This research design helps to them for making in depth research on the poverty in the given
place. With the helps of this research approach instigator can also make new theories and
frameworks (Lynch and et.al., 2013). It is the responsibility of the researcher to make and
choose collect appropriate designs of investigation.
Research approach
There are two types of research approach which has been used by research in approach
that is deductive and inductive approach by which the research approach can be done. In the
present research, scholar use inductive approach has been selected (MacLachlan and et.al., 2017)
. This approach focuses on the basic information of research and then make collection of the
information.
Data collection
There are various methods which are available for the researcher to make collection of
data. Mainly there are two types of methods which can be used by research for collection of data.

Primary and secondary data. Primary data has been used by making different types of question
and secondary data included uses of different types of books and journals (MacLachlan and
et.al., 2017). In the present researcher has been used primary research to understand the impact
on poverty on To understand the negative impact faced by people due to poverty on Sierra
Leone.
Sampling-
` it is techniques for collecting the data in which mainly includes tools and techniques.
Basically there ar two types of methods for sampling which can be used by researcher which
mainly includes quota sampling and random sampling. In this represent research, scholar uses
random sampling in which they make selection of the 30 government official of the state ( Siddik
and et.al., 2015). This sampling methods helps to researcher to make research on the to
understand the impact on poverty on To understand the negative impact faced by people due to
poverty on Sierra Leone.
Data Analysis
In this process researcher, make analysis on the different data which they collected of
data and they make section of the proper sources in which they make analysis on the different
data. In this aspect, qualitative and quantitative methods for collection of data taken at research
place. This method helps to make different types of theories which made on the basis on the
research.
DATA ANALYSIS AND RESULTS/FINDINGS
This is an important part in research that enables to understand the type of responses that are
being provided are evaluated. In this context, below given are the thematics that is being applied
for each of the research question:

Description: In accordance with analysis made, it can be stated that there are different
type of issue that are being faced within the cited place. However, there are different set of skills
and capabilities that individuals possess. They are helpful enough to support the society and
grow. As per the findings, it can be stated that there are about 7 of the government officials who
think that Sierra Leone can be transformed in to a developed country. Further, there are about 5
of the employees who agree for it. On the other hand, there are 3 of the respondents who strongly
feel that it is not possible for Sierra Leone to transform themselves into a developed state.
Further, there is one individual who is not sure for it.

Description: As per the findings, it can be stated that there are basic needs that has to be satisfied
by individuals to have healthy live. In this context, cited place is poor and they do not have
enough to fulfil their basic requirements. In this context, there are about 2 of the respondents
who are not sure whether individuals are able to fulfil their basic needs or not. Further, there are
13 of the individuals who think that they are not able to satisfy their requirement. In addition to
this, there are 5 of the respondents who think that local people at Sierra Leone are able to satisfy
their basic needs and requirements. Thus, it can be state that majority of individuals think that
they are not able to fulfil their basic requirements.

Description: There are many states in Africa and as per the perception that individuals have, it is
a poor country and the rate of development that is taking low. In this context, it can be stated that
there are about 11 of the government officials who think that the rate of poverty is high at Sierra
Leone. Thus, it shows that the rate of development that take place is also low and people are not
able to improve their living condition. Further, there are 6 of the individuals who think that the
rate of poverty at Africa is high when compared with other countries.

Description: There are different type of issues that are being faced by countries due to which the
rate of poverty increases. In accordance with the present research, it is identified that the main
reason sue to which the rate of poverty is high at Sierra Leone is due to lack of proper education.
When individuals are educated, then they are able to make developments and improve their
living standards. Further, there are 6 of the individuals who think that that main reason for
poverty is overpopulation. There rate of population at Sierra Leone is high. In addition to this,
there are 4 of the respondents who think that the rate of poverty is high due to epidemic diseases.
When the rate of diseases is high, people are not able to fulfil their basic needs and requirements.
