Report
AI Summary
This report examines the challenges that Sim's Hardware faces due to globalisation, focusing on the increasing competition within the Australian market. The research aims to identify these challenges and propose potential solutions. The report outlines the research purpose, geographical context (Australia), and ethical considerations. It details the data collection methods, including primary (questionnaires) and secondary research, along with the qualitative analysis approach. The report also addresses the factors affecting data integrity and the limitations of the research, such as limited resources and time constraints. The study employs a probability sampling method to avoid bias in selecting respondents. It also discusses the importance of ethical considerations, including obtaining consent from respondents before using their confidential information. The report concludes by summarizing the research methodology and the challenges faced during the research process.

INTRODUCTION
Applied research is determined as the effective kind of methodology that is adopted to
resolve particular problem as well as practical issues that are placing impact over particular
individual or the group. It simply makes use of different ways that is valuable in resolving
particular problem for attaining business success in quicker manner. This report is divided into 3
sections (Abou-Shouk, Lim and Megicks, 2016). The first section in based on case study of
Sim's hardware and its analysis. In the second section presentation will going to be developed
and in the last section various questions have been answered in the provided time frame.
TASK 1
Part A
Statement of research purpose and question
Globalisation is determined as the integration of two or more countries with the mutual
motive of growth. In this government, customers, businesses and others interact with one another
for enhancing growth ratio in rapid manner. Along with the benefits globalisation brings range of
issues with it also places negative impact over the businesses. The main issue associated with the
globalisation is increase in competitors. This means that businesses are now legal allowed to
enter into their favourable market place for attaining success in rapid manner. With reference to
the provided case scenario, it has been analysed that the Sim's hardware is having around 138
stores in Australia that is providing effective business to it but with the passing time, it has been
analysed that competitors for this company are increasing day by day as other businesses are
allowed to globalise their business in Australia (Colantone and Stanig, 2018). This is directory
increasing issues for the company. In order to overcome this, its respective manager has planned
to conduct research over the globalisation so that they can identify required solution for the
same. In this regard, investigator has developed required research question for the same.

The main purpose of conducting this research is to determine main challenges associated
with the globalisation which are faced by Sim's hardware. Along with this, the researching is
aiming to find out proposed solutions for the same so that they can easily tackle the situation in
effective. For the present research, proposed research question for the same is specified as below:
“What are several challenges that Sim's hardware may face due to globalisation?”
Description of the geographical, cultural, social or institutional context within which the
research will be carried
out
This investigation will going to be carried out within Australia only in order to gather
detailed information over the same and obtain proposed research outcome without any issue.
Mainly stakeholders of Sim's hardware will going to be taken into consideration for gathering
required information over the same (Coker, 2014). This will help investigator in obtaining
valuable information that will contribute in drawing valid outcome on proposed topic.
A detailed statement of the policies and procedures for conducting the research
For conducting this investigation in detailed manner researcher will follow all ethical
norms, rules, regulations, polices as well as procedures. In this, investigator will effectively use
only authentic sources at while gathering information from secondary sources. Along with this,
investigator will prefer to gather information from the latest year as it will provide recent
information to the investigator (Gereffi, 2014). Apart from this, it can be further said investigator
will also take permission from the respondents before making use of their confidential
information in order to maintain ethical stability of the research. Also, researcher emphasises on
completing the research within the provided time frame.
Explanation of how data will be collected and stored
In context of the present research, investigator will gather information by making use of
both the primary as well as secondary methods in order to obtain project outcome in the quicker
manner. The overall obtained information will be stored in laptop as well as hard copy of the
information. This will be kept at safe place so that no one can approach it without taking
permission from any one.

For conducting present investigation researcher will make use of both the primary as well
as secondary method of data collection. Here, questionnaire will be used as the primary method .
All of the gathered information will be further analysed by making use qualitative method. The
main reason behind choosing this method is to obtain research outcome based on human
perception (Green, Camilli and Elmore, 2012). Total 20 respondents will be selected through
probability sampling method for avoiding bias behaviour in selecting sample size. This is so
because it allow each and every individual to get selected for the purpose of gathering
information with the help of random sampling approach under probability method
Analysis of factors affecting the integrity, validity and reliability of data to be used for
research.
The main factor that may affect the validity and reliability of information is lack of
access to information sources as with less data it remain difficult to validate the arguments and
providing justification as an evidence to prove those statements (Gioia, Corley and Hamilton,
2013).
Analysis of the limitations of the research
In this investigation, the cost provided for performing research activity is limited due to
which researcher may found issue in arranging resources and getting access to several literature
sources. Additionally time provided for the study is also very limited which restrict investigator
in gathering detailed information on the proposed research topic (Flick, 2015). But to deal with
time and cost issues researcher will make use of questionnaire which support in gathering view
point of several people at a time for supporting the findings of study.
