GRANT PROPOSAL
Executive Summary
Grants are the means through which companies and organizations undertake for
levying lucrative offers, discounts and schemes for the customers and clients. This is
applicable especially for the non-profit organizations, like Supporting Single Parents.
Countering this, the type of organization contradicts the functionality. Counter arguing this,
these organizations gain virtue by extending their helping hand to the needy people. Here,
monetary assistance is the most appropriate as it helps the single fathers and mothers to take
proper care of the needs of their children. In order to provide this assistance, the
organizations need to maintain stability in the financial parameter. Making effective use of
the latest and modern software helps the personnel to conduct fundraising programs, which is
an additional assistance towards exposing the Samaritan side to the single parents.
Non-profit overview
Non-profit is one of the organizations, where the main aim is to serve the customers
purely on humanitarian grounds. Generating revenues and adding values to the profit margin
is against the functionalities of these types of organizations. However, in order to bestow
beneficial services, the organizations need to indulge in partnerships with the agency
partners. One such organization is Supporting Single Parents, which ensures the wellbeing of
the single parents and their children. In other words, the vision is to generate community
feeling within the parents to expose their Samaritan side (Supportingsingleparents.org 2017).

Core competencies and competitive advantage
The organization supports the single parents through education. Maintaining fairness
in the execution of the business activities enables the organization to indulge in fair
competition with the contemporary brands. A typical example of this fairness is the written
statement of fund request to the associate partners. Maintaining consistency in this fairness
secures the market position of the organization (Supportingsingleparents.org 2017). These
types of organizations are needed in the present times, when other companies are playing
with the needs and requirements of the customers, just to grab the hot seat.
Market segmentation
Behavioral and psychological market segmentation is appropriate for non-profit
organizations like Supporting Single Parents. This is because the loss of the near and dear
ones adversely affects the psyche of the husbands and wife. In this situation, the development
of the children is comprised. It is at this time, when the social services of organizations like
Supporting Single Parents are needed. Providing lodging, food and accommodation to the
single fathers, mothers and their children would reflect the exposure of community feeling in
case of the personnel (Supportingsingleparents.org 2017). Along with this, educating the
single parents and the children would make them independent of their needs, tagging the
personnel as savior in the life of these disturbed souls.
Target market
Here, the target audience is the single parents and their children. Making quality
investment for their development would help the personnel to achieve large scale loyalty,
trust and dependence from the parents. As the intention is social cause, expansion of business
would mean, extending the assistance to every single parent, intending to bestow healthy
lifestyle to the children (Supportingsingleparents.org 2017).
