Propose tools/techniques that could be implemented in various departments of SINTEF
that will improve their efficiency. Provide specific examples of how the tools will be
implemented.
Tools and techniques to facilitate lean business operations
The lean project is a concept which helps to manage the project in a significant manner. The
organization SINTEF is going well in the there stream, but the current generation is full of
changes and updates. To attain the changes and to make the evaluation in justification manner.
The lean project management helps to make a different type of approaches which gives a boost
to the project management in an appropriate manner. This is most necessary to implement the
LPM is significant manner so that the organization can attain the growth. There are some specific
tools and techniques of LPM are mentioned which helps to evaluate LPM in an organization.
 Kanban: The specific tools help to make the observation over the team management.
This helps to take the overview of the specific process. This gives the power or idea to
the higher authority to make the visualization over the things which are going on. It
contains the information stored on the whiteboard. The benefit of attaining this tool is
that this not only increases the communication level. Apart from that it also helps to
determine feedbacks and opinions (Grossman, et. al., 2016). This tool is much more
focused to make the changes with the information and updates in the current stage of the
organization.
o Assumption: The organization SINTEF can implement the tools as it will help
the organization to make the observation over the projects. This will also help the
organization to make a balance between employee and employer. This will lead
the project to success.
 A3: This is an approach which performs structured functioning. This tool helps to make
the creation of the project plan on paper. It helps to make the determination about the
panning, it also includes some decision-making strategies which makes the project more
relevant. It also makes the analysis over the risk. The other opportunity of implementing
such a tool is that it helps to make the interaction with the different department as well
which helps to gather basic requirements of project implementation (Brioso, 2015). It
also helps to make the determination about problem-solving concepts. The model of A3
includes some different while implementing the tools.

o Assumption: This can be a useful approach for the organization SINTEF. The
tool will provide the approaches to make the determination about all the
requirements of the project. It also helps to enhance the efficiency of the project.
 PDCA cycle: The PDCA refers to a plan, do, check and act. These are the formations of
this model which describes its functionality. It deals with the identification and analysis
of hypothesis. The approach on the formation of the cycle the very first step is to make
the determination about the requirements and includes an appropriate plan as per the
requirements. Subsequently, it goes with the implementation of specific changes on a
lower basis which will help to make an assumption. After making the assumption next
step is to make the determination about the evaluation of the project. This approach goes
on the cycle which benefits there company to make desired changes.
o Assumption: The organization SINTEF can implement the specific approach as it
will help to make the determination about the implementation of the idea. The
observation and sequence of the steps make the approach more reliable and
suitable to be implemented.
 Gemba Walks: This can be stated that the leaders of the project can give directions to
the employees as they show the right path to implement the project. But lastly, it depends
on the team that what and how they can understand. This approach concerns to attain the
involvement of different employees in the process of the program (Brioso, et. al., 2016).
The equal contribution of the team will make the project management easy and reliable.
The Gamba walks model provides different approaches and opportunities to the
employees which helps to make the determination about the things which are going in the
company.
 The 5 whys: This is most necessary to resolve the issues if the organization wants to get
success in the specific plan they are implementing. The 5 why is a tool which helps to
make the determination about the basic risks. This is most necessary to make such
determination as it helps to solve the issue and also leads towards appropriate resolution.
The concept includes the approach to ask or build questions over the issue as if there will
the questions will be raised. So it will become necessary to get the answers (Tenera &
Pinto, 2014). These approach of answers gives the opportunity to resolve the base of such
issues. This approach helps to make the project bugs free.

o Assumption: The organization SINTEF can implement the approach as it will
help to make the determination about the specific (Grossman, et. al., 2016). It will
also give the justification to specific approaches which have been used to make
the implementation of the project
