Question 1
The main benefit, which can be obtained from the concept of cloud, are stated below:
Benefit 1: Do more with less
It can be stated that in the concept of the cloud, computing the S-mart can directly
reduce the size of the data center or they can directly eliminate the data center footprint. The
implementation of the cloud computing can directly reduce the number of server, reduce the
software cost and directly reduce the number of staff which can directly reduce the IT cost
without impacting an organizations capability [2].
Benefit 2: Flexible user
The concept of cloud computing can be cost effective as compared to other traditional
methods. The organizations directly need to commission and thus pay for infrastructure and
server capability, as they require the service. It can be stated that more capability can be
included during the peak time and then directly de-provision it when they no longer need it.
Comparing it with traditional system it can be stated that the software’s need to be purchased
for the peak season utilization and after that the software’s remain ideal.
Benefit 3: Availability on demand
The application and the data are very much available for the user no matter where
they are. The workers can take their work anywhere and can access the features with the help
of tablets and phones. Taking into consideration the data of the organization, it can be
accessed anytime and from anywhere and directly when they need the data [3].

The concept of cloud computing directly improves the collaboration, which is in the
aspect of the dispersed group of people to meet and easily exchange the data in real time and
via the shared storage. This aspect of the interaction which is real time can be stated as one of
the biggest advantage which is related to the process of cloud computing.
Benefit 5: Expenses can be quickly reduced
During the time of recession or business cutbacks it can be stated that the concept of
the cloud computing offers flexibility in the structure thereby limiting the exposure.

Risk 1: Unauthorized access to the customer: In the concept of the cloud computing it can be
stated that the risk which is related to the aspect of the unauthorized access of the data. The
aspect can affect more area in larger organization due to the sector of larger layout. The
attack which is related to the cloud computing are not restricted to hackers and malware but
also involve into the sector of insider threats.
Risk 2: Vendor security risk: In most of the cases, it is seen that the entire details of the
organization are put into the hand of the vendors. If there are any acute problem in the sector
of the vendors, it can be stated that it would be directly effecting the organization both in the
form of internal as well as external threats [3].
Risk 3: legal and Compliance risk: There are different types of security policies, which are
enforced into the working of the organization. The list may include different sectors relating
to the access of the data the retrieval of the data and the factors, which are related to the
judgment of the data.
Risk 4: Lack of control: when the organization maintain and host the service on the local
server then the organization have the overall control of the data and it features. However, in

of the organization and it directly goes into the hand of third party. There should be always a
control in the area of the data as it involves the different functionality of the organization.
Risk 5: Availability risk: sometimes it is seen that the data of the organization are not
accessible due to link problem between the customer and the cloud provider. It can directly
hamper the overall working, which is directly related to the aspect of the information, which
is required at that instance of time. When an organization saves the data in the concept of the
cloud it can be stated that the customer or the organization does not know who is in control of
the data and in most of the situation they are unaware of who is in the control of the data of
the organization [6].

ERP: The main functionality, which is related to the ERP, is that it directly integrates the
various function into one complete solution to streamline the processes and the information
and streamline processes across the entire organization. The main feature, which is related to
the ERP system mainly involve, shared database that directly supports multiple function
which is used by different units of the business.
Data staging area: The data staging area can be used for the aspect of extracting the data
from the data source, which directly minimizes the impact of the source [1]. It can be stated
that after the data has been loaded into the staging area, the staging area can be used to
combine data from multiple data sources, data cleansing, validation and transformation.
Data mining: The concept of data mining can be related to the aspect of the digging and
analyzing a huge set of data and then extracting the meaning of the data. There are different
types of tool which can be included into the concept of data mining which directly involve
future trend, predict behavior, allowing the business to make proactive decision and
knowledge driven decision.
Transformation and load processing: The concept, which is related to the Transformation
and load processing, can be directly be related to the aspect of the source system and bringing
the data into the warehouse which is commonly known as ETL which stands for extraction,
transformation and loading [4].
