INTRODUCTION
Notion of identification plays vital role in determining the process in which the subject
absorbs and prospect property. Point of view is particular or specific manner of thought process,
an attitude by which someone looks at the things and makes views about it. Present essay
describes about theory of notion of identification with respect to The Sixth Sense (1999) movie.
In this essay, the spectators’ engagement in the movie and how it affects audience views has
been described. Furthermore, the spectator engagement in the film “Point of view” has been
explained.
Notion of identification
It is a central of philosophical notion. This opinion plays a significant role in identifying
philosophy. For example communication and technological philosophy (Boyle, 2015.). This term
is used in analysis of psychology. This analysis represents in depth of opinion of security of
humans. The analysis also showcases the significance of individual’s point of view. Secrecy and
security is profound concern of humans. It has various meanings and it can be classified as
subject centred and non-subject centred. Former one implies meaning as name of class which is
incidental to some dependent (Bryman and Bell, 2015). Nevertheless, this does not represent that
subject centred message would be prejudiced in any sense.
For example, in the movie “The Sixth Sense 1999” the boy whose name Cloe Sear was
troubled by dark secret. In the movie he was visited by spirits. The boy Cloe was daily getting
affected by the ghost of girl who was really not existing in the world. . This represent that notion
of individual's life is subject cantered. People make point of view on what they see. The boy
Cloe was interacting with ghost which really does not exists (John Cooper, Timothy Heron and
Heward, 2014). The individuals’ life which he was considering was not particular and that were
special attributes of his own. Subject centered meaning also indicates typical subjective meaning
like opinions and beliefs of the subject. Real feelings of humans are personal but depiction of
these beliefs is not subjective. Various meanings of this notion of identification depicts that
individual have to concentrate on some cardinal notions which are linked to security of humans.
Similarly, in the case of Cloe security was the major concern.
The boy in the movie was frightened by catastrophe from those with undetermined issues
These problems in the boy were appearing from darkness and shadows . The boy was afraid of

shadows. He was assuming the things which was not in real existing. The boy was very much
afraid to share his problems with anyone. This can be understood as standardization of condition.
In the case of natural catastrophe, it is subtle that the situation can be normalized but in some
cases like Cloe there was no criterion normality that could be restored. The presence of security
sector emphasizes on individual's beliefs of unsafety. Safety is a thing that cannot be given by
safety aspect or by any other individual. Security of human being is factual and it affects
individual's everyday life.
Moreover, the notion of identification is not any easy work in complex cases such as
Cloe's case. In fact, the objectives of acts of human are generally much complicated than Cloe.
Determination of goals is not an easy job. The relationship between knowledge and human
opinions is not direct. An individual has to undergo the target of action which is worth
achievable. In human security case the value laden is apparent. The agent selects an objective
intentionally. Determination is done from existent cognition, point of view/perception, and
various other means. Identification cannot be totally objective or totally public. For instance,
safety in the awareness is defined above must be determined mainly by perspective approaches.
Furthermore, the impression of determination is not any easy work in complex cases such as
Cloe's case.
Point of view engagement with the text
“Point of view shot” is short movie which represents that character is looking at camera.
It is generally established by being destined between a shot of notional creature and effort of
representing characters response (Nakamura and Csikszentmihalyi, 2014). POV is defined as
series that shot as if the spectator is looking by the eyes of particular character. The approach of
POV is one of the basis of film editing. A POV attempt must not to be the exact point of view of
an existent single imaginary creature in a movie. Sometimes the POV is understood over the
shoulder of the character who stays on the screen (Raviv, 2016). Nick Browne was the spectator
in this movie who spectate that camera record the incident from a particular person's perception.
POV is a subjective angle but is falls between in both the angles which are subjective and
objective. Perception is placed in isolated category and should be given specific consideration.

eyes. The audience sees event form the point of view of actor. Therefore, the angle of camera
stays objective because the unseen beholder is not included in the action (Skinner and Gormley,

perception. Whole event is seen by audience form the leader perceptual experience. The viewers
see the event as if they are living the event themselves. POV is defined as order that attempt as
if the spectator is looking by the eyes of specific character. The shot is ordinary trick for making

in real (Bryman and Bell, 2015). The point of view significantly affects the spectators’
engagement with text as it successfully helps viewers in experiencing the screen scene in reality.
