Skill audit is the common tool for an individual to gain self awareness of its own skills and their
degree of expertise for the particular situation or role (Bachik, 2021). I am applying for the
position of “Human Resource Manager” for which I must have some key skills that I have
mapped below in the form of skill audit.

From the above skill audit it is evaluated by me that my communication and team working
skills are highly developed skills and I own expertise in them. I have gained my communication
skills during my university course. In university on weekly basis there were two sessions for the
learning and development of effective communication skills through which I was able to upscale
my communication skills. I have developed excellent team working skills through my sports. I
play football and for sports man team working is first and most essential skill to have as we are

required to play as team in order to win a match against opponent. This has helped to gain
efficiency in my team working skills. I also have a good time management skills as it score 4 in
my skill audit. This skill I have attained through my daily routine experiences by managing both
my academics at university and sports as well. In order to maintain a balance and schedule
appropriate time I have acquired good time management skills as well.
Through skill audit I identified that my recruitment skills are moderate which I was able to learn
at intermediate level during my internship for three months in the small size organisation.
As per the skill audit the skills in which I am deficient are critical thinking skills, conflict
management skills and presentation skills. All these three skills are considered as my skill gap
which are important to be filled and improved for my future job role of human resource manager.
Psychometric Test
It is the personality test that I have given in order analyse my skills and behaviour for the job
role human resource manager (Miller, Mayo and Podlog, 2021). It is also conducted by the
employers to identify whether the traits of the candidates fits good with the position applied for.

From the psychometric test I have evaluated that I have very low critical thinking skills and high
feelings for the others which is very suitable for the human resource manager as I have to think
of other employees, their needs and performance. Also, through the psychometric test I was able
to determine that I have very good time management skills. This skill is very important as my
employability skills.
