Reflective log
Learning log is journal that helps in analysing own skills and development opportunities. This is
based upon a diary ritual in which an individual keeps his own record of learning skills. This
depends upon own learning skills.
This reflective is written when I was attending skill development session. There are so many
skills and abilities which I have developed at the time of taking lectures. There were some
lecture notes and some presentations offered by the tutor after the session. When I used to get
any doubts, then I take help from these notes for enhancing my knowledge. International
business is not an easy subject. Here, I get to know what are the different issues in context of
internationalism faced due to economic, social and political problems. It is analysed that skills
are developed while managing the international business management. I have evaluated that in
the initial week, I learnt what are the benefits that an organisation can have managing business
internationally. It also defined what are the various disadvantages while organisations are
planning to go international. In week 4 and 5, I got to know more about reasons for a company to
expand internationally. This session also provided me help in maximising the information related
to international business and management. This provided me to know about skillset and abilities
required for development of international companies. This also enhanced knowledge associated
with techniques, ways and strategies used for entering into foreign markets. There are several
strategies used by companies to tackle the situations in international market. Moreover, I realised
that an organisation has a proper plan that helps in monitoring international operations. I have
developed my own abilities in relation to international business management. Some of the skills
needed for managing the international business are mentioned below -
Communication skills: There are some communication skills that have been acquired during this
module. It is based on understanding about the verbal communication skills that is going to assist
in the future professional working. Further written communication skills are also very important
to develop detail apprehension of the way various
Problem solving skills: problem solving skills are defined as the set of knowledge and skills that
are used for the purpose of defining the problem, determination of cause and further analysing of
the possible solutions to the problem. This module has helped me in developing detail overview
of the way different issues that may arise in the process of learning and performing of various
activities.

Collaborative working: collaboration working is related with working of more than one
individual together that can help in the process of completing the project as per development of
processes and ideas. The present report has assisted in workplace collaboration that required
application of skills, sharing, knowledge that can help in smooth function of teams. The present
module has helped me in learning about such skill sets that is going to lead towards effective
process of learning and development of collaborative working skills that is going to lead towards
required professional development of individuals.
