Introduction:
It is very important to possess various types of skills in an individual so that the skills can help in
the development and growth of that individual in his personal and professional life. Learning
helps in focusing on the enhancement of the skills. The learning at the school level can help in
developing and growing professionalism. The assignment will include learning of different types
of skills and the drawbacks of these skills which can result in the elimination of the project. The
assignment consists of the ways of improving the skills which are used for the success of the
project.

2A. Lessons Learnt: Framework
2.1 How I planned to gather documents lessons learned
It is very important to use the most appropriate sources to gather the correct information which is
required for the successful implementation of the project. The information is used to improve the
planning and other skills so that the project can be implemented successfully and help in
achieving the targeted goals. The table below will help in gathering the required information
about the steps used in order to collect the learned documents.

Planning is an initial stage to improve the skills but only planning is not sufficient. In order to
make the required improvements, it is important to measure the actual performance and the

3.1 Lesson 1- Team Management Skills
Situation
Few days before, a project was assigned that had to be done in a team of six students. This
project requires the active participation of every member for the purpose of project completion.
The project basically involved the collection of critical information regarding the economic
condition of Australia. This involved the utilization of different sources for the information
gathering process. Similar to other projects, this project was comprised of different small works
but created confusion and conflicts which were handled effectively by one of the team members.
The situation made me feel
The current situation developed a realization in me that managing a project is not an easy task.
The conflicts and confusion got developed in a big form due to the lack of understanding and
communication as well (Currey, et. al., 2018). Such a situation developed a sort of negative
feeling among the team members and fall in the morale of team members had been realized.
What I learned from reflecting on the situation
I have learned from this situation that effective management of a project highly demands a
leader. One of the team members handled the situation and developed a sense of understanding
and coordination among the team members. He did this by using motivation techniques that
helped me in gaining an insight into how to manage a project and team members.

3.2 Lesson 1: IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY
 The improvement strategy is specific for team management skills as it involves the
learning of communication and motivation within a project. This strategy will mainly
involve verbal communication and undertaking the project in a more fun way.
Specifically, the strategy targets the improvement of communication and coordination
skills for the purpose of eliminating the chances of conflicts and confusion among the
team members.
 The effectiveness of this strategy will be measured by comparing the improvement plan
and what actually happened. This will help in identifying improvement areas in my
learning.
 This strategy is achievable as learning of communication and motivation skills is not a
big issue. It involves achievable steps such as online resources, textbooks and class notes.
 There is a relevant connection between what has learned in Lesson 1 and the
improvement strategy. In Lesson 1, the main issue was realized as the conflicts and
confusion in the team during the project due to lack of communication and motivation
(Dong, et. al., 2017). This strategy mainly focuses on improving motivation and
communication skills.
 This strategy will be implemented within the given timeframe. The teacher will assign a
new project to the team after the completion of the next team management session which
will definitely be done in the next 20 days.

4.1 Lesson 2- Planning Skills
Situation
A situation got developed in the last month when I had to submit two assignments, attending the
classes on time and studying for the exams. The exams were there after 10 days where I had to
submit the assignment before the exams and attending all the sessions as they are also
significant. It was all a confusing and messy situation for me with such a short period of time and
lots of tasks.
The situation made me feel
This situation made me feel so bad and guilty since I have so much to do but within a short of a
period of time. I got panic and stressed as I lacked planning skills that caused such a situation
(Alexander, 2016). This situation not only created issues for me but also made me realized about
the urgent need for learning planning skills.
What I learned from reflecting on the situation
Regarding this situation, the reflection helped me in learning that any situation can be handled
effectively using planning skills when lots of work required accomplishment within a prescribed
time. This situation enabled me to realize the right time for learning planning skills and self-
motivation skills.

4.2 Lesson 2: IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY
 The specificity of the improvement strategy lies in the fact that it will involve the
scheduling of tasks on the basis of time and priority. This strategy will mainly focus on
making a list of all the tasks and allotting a significant amount of time to each task on the
basis of priority.
 The effectiveness of this strategy will be measured by considering the next situation
when multiple tasks will be required completion at the same time. This will help in
making me aware of how effectively I have learned to apply the planning skills.
 The strategy can be considered achievable as learning about planning skills is an easy
task. Getting knowledge from the mentor and teachers is the key component of the
strategy.
 In Lesson 2, it can be seen that improper planning led to the creation of a messy and
confusing situation that also affected the quality of all the tasks (Morse & Allensworth,
2015). This strategy is highly for Lesson 2 as it helps in developing planning skills that
would further be helpful in such a situation in the future.
 This strategy will be used in the situation where multiple tasks will be required
completion within a given timeframe. Such a situation would be aroused in next month
when the annual function, exams, and assignments would be there altogether.
