INTRODUCTION
Skill development is an essential aspect that helps an individual to improve performance and
abilities to complete any activity (Aeon and Aguinis, 2017). There are different skills which
makes an individual perfect for completing projects. This report consists of information about an
essential skill i.e. time management. There is need for every person to complete all activities and
projects in time.
MAIN BODY
Time-management, organisation and motivation
Time management is the most important skill that helps an individual to complete different tasks
and activities properly. This is known as a transferable skill that is used within different
industries and positions. To complete any job, it is essential to manage time and complete all
projects (Demirkesen and Ozorhon, 2017). It is evaluated that proper time management will help
in planning and balancing time between different project activities that are assigned at
workplace. If there is proper time management, it is helpful for completing the task within
specified time frame. There is need to manage schedule and deadlines in order to plan the
completion of project within time. A strong time management skill provides help to increase
reputation of the firm and manage the work at workplace. Time management skills includes
those which helps to see time effectively for attaining desired goals. These help to allocate the
time properly and complete tasks in efficient manner. After analysing the time management
skills, it is evaluated that there are other skills developed which helps to complete tasks
efficiently. There are few factors which are directly affected by adopting proper time
management which consists of goal setting, planning, communication, delegation, flexibility and
stress management. It is essential to stay organised and it helps to track priorities and
responsibilities. By managing time management skills, it is easy to organise tasks and acts as
map for guiding and increasing productivity. There is a well organised plan that helps to reach
goals in specified time frame. Prioritisation is known as key for successful time management.
When there is prioritising of tasks then it is ensured that important tasks and activities are done at
first (Farokhzadian and et.al, 2020). An individual can write down all tasks and the way which
can be used to attain it. There are basically three types of tasks on the basis of time management
mentioned below –

A level task – This includes things which will lead to main consequence if they will not be
completed on the same day
B level task – These includes activities that have negative impact upon whole project
C level task – These includes activities which are having no consequence
Goal setting includes process that is used for defining objectives and aims for a particular
plan (Vanitha and Krishnan, 2017). This is used to achieve goals and targets in specified time
frame. There is need for setting short as well as long term goals which lead to success in career.
Also, time management is providing help to enhance the communication process that an
individual has to adopt. An effective communication promotes loyalty and trust. It helps to make
plans and goals on clear basis and manage the work properly. A strong communication plan
helps to manage success in life. This plays an essential role for resolving conflicts. It also helps
to prevent situations that create negativity at workplace. If there is strong communication, then
delegation of work is properly managed. There is relation to focus upon important tasks which
support goals and objectives. Planning includes core of time management skills. When
individuals are having proper plan then it is easy to attain goals in time. There is need for
prioritising tasks according to the project work. when there is plan and proper schedule of
completing the task then time frame helps to determine which task has to be given importance.
There is need for having effective process that includes management of multiple tasks and
activities associated with project. There is need to delegate different tasks and activities and
explain them to subordinates (Yang and et.al., 2018). It helps to minimise workload and focus
upon different important tasks like business analysis and planning. It is essential to handle stress
by keeping oneself motivated and this helps to complete tasks effectively. Yoga, exercise and
having snacks helps to minimise stress and there is need for managing relating activities and self
care rituals for daily schedule. It is vital for individuals to maintain flexibility by managing time.
There are different tasks given to an individual at workplace and that is why there is need to
complete those tasks in the best possible manner. It is stated that when a person is looking for
job, then there is need to devote time in updating resume and managing the best way to apply
and prepare for interviews. If there is less time than numerous tasks cannot be completed
effectively. there is need to have better time management skills so that better employee and
strong candidate can apply new opportunities. It is considered that several time management
skills are used for managing work efficiently and building development and growth. When

individuals want to accomplish tasks and activities on time, there should be timeline which has to
be specified. The concept of time management skill helps to use time in a productive and
efficient manner. There are some times when there is need for answering any call on urgent
basis, at that time you have to complete another activity also. That is why, in such situations time
management plays an essential role. A priority matrix is useful to determine which task must be
completed properly at first. This matrix is known as best way for reviewing all tasks and
conducting operations on daily basis. There are few points which are addressed while managing
different tasks. First thing considered is which task has to be covered in 48 hours. These are
termed as urgent tasks. Out of these urgent tasks, there are few tasks which are important ones. It
is a good idea to list different tasks and manage the importance of all activities properly. There
are other tasks also which have to be completed in order to manage different type of project
activities assigned. Setting up of long term goal can be attained by developing realistic goals.
These include goals which help in tracking and motivating own self to complete the projects.
Calendar can be maintained for managing time and increasing effectiveness and productivity.
Prioritisation is the most important factor of productivity that is useful for time management.
There is need for practising different tasks and managing daily objectives and goals. It is
essential to decide whether scheduling of calendar will help to attain goals in time or not. There
is need to complete the project tasks and activities so that there are no deadlines missed.
CONCLUSION
It is analysed that time management is an essential way to manage work properly and attain
organisational goals and objectives. If a person has good time management, he is able to
complete all project activities on time. This will help to increase motivation and increase
efficiency at workplace. There is need for every individual to enhance time management and
motivation skills to attain efficiency of goal attainment.
