INTRODUCTION
Skills in students are reflective of those qualitative traits in students which helps and
supports them become not only a good and authenticated learner but also a person of gracious
personality. Skills that should be acquired by students are needed to be in that manner where
students can achieve longer befits and satisfy their career goals together. Need of these skills is
for fighting changing scenarios of competitive time, but some of the basic one, if developed in
students life, is enabling one to retain for life time as well. Some basic skills, required for
students to attain goals of student and professional life together are discussed in report.
SKILLS ANALYSIS
The trends and environment in modern world is full of opportunities and challenges. An
individual can face necessity of these challenges at the time of learning and educational stage
and even at the time when one is working under dream profile. It is important to cooperate with
these challenges so that one may never get ousted from competition. If I would be able to
develop certain basic important skills in my educational life than coping with dynamics of
environment would become easy in future. Some important skills that form part of good students
life also, are discussed below:
Note-Taking skills- Notes are part of daily learning of students. Whatever, students reads and
learns in classrooms or while attending lectures on online platform or while undertaking their
self studies. They tends to note down important material from what they had studied immediately
(Apino and Retnawati, 2017). Also, by notes they intend to summarise a long an critical
information in simple and short words. The skills of Note-Taking also allows me to put multiple
knowledge and information that I take from various sources in a complete order, that channelise
learning in a process. By this they are most benefited at time of revision. However, there are
particular skills associated with Note-Taking. Notes are required to meet quick revision needs of
students, and any long or Non-critical information will affect my time and efforts adversely. As
far as my Note-Taking skills are concerned, I consider them as very efficient one. While making
Notes in the classroom I highlight mentions of teachers in the books itself and sometimes I write
critical informations simultaneously as well. Even at first ever revision I try best to concise one
topic information on one page itself.

Time management Skills- Time management skills are one of the key skills that one needs to
develop. As students in modern time can be seen engaging in various educational activities. I,
myself besides dealing with every sort of assignment, projects and seminars and every other
essential part of educational protocol of my Academics, is also learning from many online
platforms as well. Since, the dimensions and activities of education have widened very much,
students are required to manage their time very efficiently (Zubaidah and et.al., 2017). Time
management allows students to provide equal importance to every activity, as each one of them
levy their own importance to me. Currently, my time manageability and appropriation is not that
effective and I am prioritising my self studies more. There is a need for equalising all necessary
activities. I am going to make a proper list of all activities with priority standards and plan them
to complete on daily, weekly and monthly basis. Prioritising all activities and dividing time
accordingly will be made in such manner that improvise my learning as well.
Academic reading skills- Reading skills in universities are not that easy for students. The
content books in university possess is highly professionalised in nature and students sometimes
difficult in comprehending them. However, importance of reading skills for students in
undeniable and inevitable (Yılmaz and Baydık, B., 2020). To gather and acquire knowledge in
particular context and topic students are necessitated to have efficient reading skills. Reading
skills also contains the speed in which student can comprehend with accuracy, which should be
quick. Quick and efficient reading skills not only saves time and avoid overlapping of efforts for
students, but it enables me to develop a vision regarding what I read at a particular time. Hence,
through improvised reading skills I am going to inculcate what I read in my experience of life.
Currently, I assess my reading skills really poor. Whatever I read at a particular time, regarding
academic materials, I does not feel like enjoying that and hence it burdens me. To improvise this
skill it is needed to spend most of the time in reading and not listening to study materials.
Engaging is the only possible way to get best associated with books.

CONCLUSION
From the above discussion in report I have helped myself in making a brief analysis of
needed skills and traits which are not only required but imperative for me to gain good academic
learning, education and knowledge in such a way where a disciplined personality in me can be
cultivated. Time management is the most important skill, in this context, is considered by me. It
is the basic one to lead a professional life. However, reading skills and Note-Taking skills can
even help at crucial turns further but time management is the one where a poised and service
oriented attitude will also be reflected.
