INTRODUCTION
For every person it is essential to conduct personal audit because through it they can
determine and understand their strengths through which they can attain their opportunities in
career as well as they also able to determine weakness which need to improve so that they can
avoid threat which may take place in future (Bennis, 2020). In addition to this they also need to
conduct personal development planning as that will help in developing as well as growing future
in effective and successful manner. The respective report is divided into two section, first one
cover audit and evaluation of key skills of a person so that they can understand their strengths
and weak skills. Another section of respective report is personal development research and
planning in which planning is conducted for improving weak skills in effective manner.

Provide an overview of your skills development in the team task
For every person it is necessary to conduct those practices which will help them in
developing skills, abilities and capabilities as that lead to growth of successfully career. This
practice will also help them in enhancing career opportunity by improving as well as polishing
their skills, abilities and capabilities (Decker, 2020). While I am conducting this report I able to
understand that there are some of my skills which I can donate it with strengths as well as I also
able to know my weak skills which I need to improve for developing a successful career
effectively. During conducting this report I done my work in a team which help me in analyzing
my some of the essential skills which I need to polish and improve so that I can develop effective
as well as successful career impressively. I analyze that there are several skills which are needed
for developing a successful career such as decision making, communication, self discipline,
research, planning, organizing, and time management and so on. This is so because by having all
these skills I able to conduct my work in best manner which leads to attainment of desire goal in
impressive way. From all these skill I have some skills which are my strengths such as self
discipline, time management, organization and many others. On the hand there are several skills

which are my weaknesses such as communication, problem solving, decision making and so on.
This show that I need to polish my skills which are strengths as well as I need to improve weak
one so that I can grab future opportunities in effective manner. In addition to this, I need to
develop all these skills because through communication skill I can easily interact with my
superior, subordinates, clients, stakeholders and so on. Moreover, by enhancing problem solving
skill I can easily solve the issues of my colleges as well as team which help me in showing my
effective work quality. I also need to enhance my problem solving skills because I am not able to
solve issues of other and team which decreases my value in team which is seems as a hurdle for
the enhancing performance and developing effective career. In addition to this I also need to
enhance my team work skill because currently I am not much comfortable in working within a
team but now in every company work are allotted in team so I need to improve respective skill
for the development of career successfully. Enhancement of team work skills also lead to
improvement of several other skills such as coordination skill, understanding skill, work under
pressure skill and so on (Durso, 2020). This show by developing respective skill I can leads to
improvement of in my career growth successfully. In addition to this I will able to develop my
work effectively in the team. Skill in which I am lacking I get know when I am working in a
team for respective project, at first when I allotted project in a team I not feel much comfortable
because in team I not know each and every member. At the initial stage my performance in team
was very bad as I not able to communicate with team members due to which I also not able to
conduct my work properly for the attainment of desire outcome. My this type of behaviour also
impact on the outcome of team so we all conduct interaction session so that we understand each
other and get comfortable because when we not feel comfortable with each other we not able to
conduct work in team properly as we get hesitated.
Then examine TWO key skills and reflect using Gibbs
2.1 Teamwork Skills
Team work skill is considered as one the main skill which a person need to have for
developing and maintaining effective future. It is so because in current time every company
assigns project or task in a team so if a person will not have respective skill then them not able to
conduct work properly (Gouda, 2020). This will directly impact on their performance as well as
promotion or growth decision. In addition to this when a person have respective skill then

automatically their several other skills get enhanced which ensure that they able to develop
effective and successful future. For example when a person want to enhance their team working
skill they need to develop understanding, cooperation, planning, decision making and many other
skills (Keshminder and Cheng, 2020). In respect of my situation I need to enhance my team
working skill so that I can perform effectively as well as successfully in team. It is essential to
enhance because now it is trend that an every college, university and office allot work in team so
that every individual respect each other and develop feeling of togetherness. So by enhancing
respective skill, I able to perform best in a team which help me as well as my team to attain our
desire goal successfully according to the set standard and at proper allotted time.
2.2 Communication Skills
Another main skill which every person need to have is communication skill because
through that an individual can easily and effectively interact with others as well as make others
understand what they want to say. Moreover through effectively communication skill a person
also understand what other want to say to them. It is necessary skill for every level as well as at
every industry because communication is take place at everywhere and if a person didn’t have
respective skill they go through several issues which impact on their performance as they not
able to communicate with each other. In respect of my situation when I am working in a team
while developing the project at the initial stage I am not able to interact with my team members
as I my introvert and I feel shy while interacting with new person. Due to this, I am not able to
perform properly in team which impact on my output as well as my team performance. So I need
to improve my skill as that will help me in conduct proper interaction with others as well as that
will also enhance my performance. Due to increase in respective skill I able to grow my career
by getting proper opportunity.
2.3 Gibbs’ Reflection of Specific Experience in the team
Gibbs reflection cycle is introduced by Graham Gibbs in the 1988 in order to provide
structure to an individual learning from the experience. In this a person able to provide
conclusion related to what they learn as well as determine what they can do differently for
attaining desire goal and outcome (Kılıçkaya, 2020). This will also help in developing plan of
action which can be adopted by a person in order to deal with the specific situation in the future
as well as it also help in determine normal changes which can be determine for attaining

predetermine goal. The respective model include six stages i.e. description, feeling, evaluation,
analysis, conclusion and at last action plan. Explanation of respective model in respect of my
situation is mentioned below:-
 Description – In this a person need to determine what happen in a specific situation
which impact on their life and performance (Oates, 2020). In respect of my situation I
need to develop a project in team but while conducting work or performing my allotted
task I analyze that there are some of my skills are strength and some are weakness that I
need to enhance for attaining desire goal.
 Feeling – In this I need to determine my feeling when an individual is conducting specific
work which is allotted to them. According to my situation when I know my strength skill
I feel happy because through that I conduct work properly as well as I also able to full
contribute to the team. On the other hand when I know my weak skill I feel very bad
because I not able to contribute to the team fully.
 Evaluation – In this phase an individual need to need to determine what was the good and
what was bad during experiencing specific situation. In respect of my situation when I
determine my strength skill I evaluate that it is good situation because through that I able
to perform work in best manner. In addition to this when I know my weak skills I feel
bad because I am not able to contribute with my team performance properly.
 Analysis – At respective phase an individual need to analyze what else a person may do
in a specific situation for attaining desire goal successfully (Oh, DiNitto and Powers,
2020). In context of my situation I analyze that I feel shy while communicating with the
new people which is wrong I must interact with my team members because that will help
me in conducting team work properly for attaining desire goal.
 Conclusion – It is the second last stage of gibbs reflective cycle in which an individual
will conclude the whole things which they done in a particular time or situation. In
respect of me I need to conduct work in team and while conducting my work I determine
that I need to improve my some skills so that I can conduct my work properly and
effective for attainment of desire goal and outcome.
 Action Plan – It is the last stage in which a person needs to develop a action plan so that
they can improve the situation and avoid appearance of same mistake next time. In
respect of my situation I need to develop action plan so that I can enhance my weak skills

i.e. communication skill as well as team work skill. This is so because through it I can
develop effective future by conducting work in best manner.
Personal Development Research and Planning
Identify key skills for development and research/explain the development opportunities
A person needs to develop their skill so that they can attain their desire goal as well as
objective in effective manner (Ruiz, Pioquinto and Amparado, 2020). Moreover for the
development of weak skill a person can develop proper action plan which will help them in
conducting work in effective manner so that they will attain the desire outcome successful and it
also leads to developing of successful career. In respect of my situation while I am conducting
work in a team related to this project I analyze that there are some skills that are my weakness
and I need to improve it. In addition to this from it the main two skills are communication skill as
well as team work skill which is necessary to improve for my future growth. In respect of this I
can also conduct skill audit because through that I can determine at what level I am lacking in
specific skill and I need to improve it as well as that will also help me in developing strategies
for the development. Along with these skills I also need to develop some other employability
skills as that will help me in attaining desire goal as well as objective successfully. Some of the
main employability skills are mentioned below:-

communicate with my team members and other people.
Through this I also able to understand what others want me to
say and make other understand what I want to say.
Leadership skill I need to have this skill as through that I can lead by team in
effective manner as well as it also help me in taking

Team work skill By improving this skill I able to conduct effectively in team
which leads to attainment of desire goal successfully.

Learning or development is considered as systematic procedures for enhancing an
individual’s competency, skills and knowledge which will outcomes in effective performance.
Learning opportunity is defined as classroom based or non class room based supervised
education as well as instructional; practices which are definite within college, school or
institutions (Harris, 2020) . There are various opportunities of learning or development which
has to be attained effectively. In this respect, the volunteers and interns have opportunities to
determine and develop skills such as team management skills, communication skills and many
others. These competencies and skills assists in attainment of objectives. Here, it has learned or
developed various skills and improve the existent ones for effectual outcomes.
Learning or Development Opportunities: There are several ways by which opportunities
of learning may be obtained. Initially, person has to conduct provided work on continuous basis
so that it can develop its attitudes, competencies and knowledge for specific task. After
becoming expertise into specific areas, it may move to another one. Within learning
opportunities, it may develop its personal development for delegated task. At the time of
investigation, this is have been identified that learning opportunities is considered to be an old
concept in which person are very much keen to grab new as well as unique things for profitable
outcomes. There are learning opportunities that may be obtained by internships, volunteering and
others. This opportunity of learning assists me to attain its specified objectives for itself. So, in
case these opportunities of learning are obtained through me then I can able to develop my
personal and professional growth.
Learning opportunities Description
Volunteering This is an effective way to utilize their competencies to assists
others as well as at similar time learn unique things that can drives
towards a qualification. It is better learning opportunities as
through this I may get a chance to improve new competencies as
well as put in practices of existent skills.
Internship It is considered as a better learning opportunity which is generally
offered through employer to potential individuals which is known
as interns. With this opportunities I can able to explore my skills

such as team work, communication and many more into specific
work area or profession.
Face to face session This is regarded as the class room based workshops, courses and
seminars which are targeted towards particular teams or ability
development fields. Moreover, it may be delivered through
internal or external facilitators and involves attendance at
development session.
3.1 Volunteering
Volunteering is considered as effective learning opportunities as it is a better way to
perform experiment, activity as well as try new competencies as well as skills. Moreover, it
provides person an opportunity to develop its self confidence by practices. Along with this,
respective opportunity of learning is also helpful in stretching itself in new manner which may
benefits into their career (Gibson and Davidson, 2020). This also foster team work but also
facilitates an opportunities for learning more about various perspectives. Through this, I may get
a chance to improve new competencies as well as put in practices of existent skills
communication and team work skills.
3.2. Internship
Internship is considered as a better learning opportunity which is generally offered
through employer to potential individuals which is known as interns. Moreover, it is an
opportunity to test drive individuals career without forming any serious commitments. This also
facilitates me with lessons, experiences and tools I required to obtain a full time appearance into
future. Along with this, it provides me a chance to develop as well as learn before entering into
the working world in fully manner. Also, one of the most essential things that I may gain from
respective learning opportunities is spanking knowledge. It facilitates me an understanding how
to accomplish work which are significant to my desired career path as well as sharpening the
competencies which I already possess. So, the main valuable skill that I gain from internship is
the capability to communicate with persons. Some more skills are discussed below that is
developed through internship:

 Team work skills: With the help of internship, I learn to perform as a team without
concentrating wholly upon myself. I also improve my patience into circumstances
when I disagree with other team members.
 Communication skills: This is one of an essential listed skills which recruiters seeks
for into a resume as well as something that can be obtain from bottom to top.
Moreover, with the help of internship I get to communicate with various people into
work area which will be helpful for me to develop my communication skills in more
effective and efficient way.
CONCLUSION
By conducting analysis of above mentioned point it can be determined and summarized
that for every person it is essential to conduct person skill audit because through that they can
understand their strengths through which they can grow business successfully. Along with this,
through it an individual also understand their weaknesses which they need to improve in order to
make successful career. In order to this, they can adopt different models such as gibbs learning
model because through it person can understand their experience as well as it also help in
determining which skills they need to develop for making successful career. In addition to this
they also need to develop personal development plan so that they can develop a systematic plan
for building a successful career.
