INTRODUCTION
Skills audit refers to the process of recording and measuring development of skills in an
individual or a group during their education and training. Skills are required in each and every
field for the development of an individual. With every action an individual learn several things
which they should assess in order to achieve growth and development in their career. If they will
not involve the assessment process in their day-to-day life then also they will learn several skills
but they will not have value of those skills in their real life (Ab Wahid and Grigg, 2020).
Analyzation of several skills through their actions with the help of models given for the purpose
will help them to conclude their feelings and experience in words and accept it in their real life in
future in case stuck in the similar situation. Personal development plan is a plan and which and
individual has analyzed various skills required to them for attaining a position in a specified
organization. This report contains evaluation and Audit of important skills which are present in
me and model of reflection which help to provide a step by step process of learning a particular
skill. Further this report also contains personal development planning and research for an
individual and personal development plan.
TASK 1
Audit and Evaluation of key skills
To create my career in beauty industry and marketing I have pursued a suitable course. I
game so much knowledge from this course as it not only provides me the knowledge related to
career or course but also help me in my self-development. During the course I have gone through
several assessments and various activities during the course which helps me to develop several
skills in me. I have learnt to present myself in front of a group of people and develop confidence
in me by getting knowledge related to the field. The three major skills which are important in my
career and I have developed during the course are given below:
Time Management skills - Time management skills are the essential skills which helps an
individual to manage their time in such a manner that they can be able to perform their task on
given timeline. Beauty industry and marketing both field requires a proper time management
skills. Management of time can result in closing of client in both the fields. This course have
several assessments which need to be completed in a proper deadline. To complete the

assessment on time I have divided my task in small different activities and provide a time taken
in that activity to be completed in the allotted time (Deniozou, Dima and Cox, 2020). This helps
me to learn time management skills.
Decision making skills - In my marketing project I have taken several group tasks which helps
me to learn how to work in a team. In order to manage the team in effective manner it is required
to take several important decisions in such a manner that it provide benefits to both me as well as
my team. I have involved the opinions of my team members in my decision making which helps
me to take effective decisions for the project. This help me to understand the value of taking
opinion of team members in decision making process and develop necessary skills required for
effective decision making. In one of my project of beauty industry I have taken several effective
decisions which helps me in better management of several projects.
Communication skills - Communication refers to the process exchanging information from one
person to another. It is essential for an individual to understand the value of effective
communication and learn to communicate with others effectively. During my course I need to
communicate with my fellow members my groupmates teachers and other seniors in order to
take help regarding my curriculum. Understand my problem it is essential to communicate the
problem with them in effective manner so that proper solution can be provided by them.
Gibb’s Model of reflection
Gibbs reflective cycle is given by professor Graham gives in the year 1988 through his
book learning by doing. People understand that they can learn in a best manner from getting
experience only but if they do not reflect their experience then they will not be able to
consciously think about their learning which will make it hard for them to learn anything. Gibbs
reflective cycle provides 5 steps to reflect the experiences of an individual to make them learn
with the help of situations. It is a framework for examining experience in building cyclic
hydrocarbons with experience is allowing you to learn this reflection model is important for
individuals as they help them to understand their own thinking and allows them to learn from
those things which either didn't go well or go well (Mok, Nabulsi, and Chowdhury, 2020). Gibbs
model of reflection helps me to analyses the way I have improve my communication skills
during my course in following manners:

Description – I've always wanted to start my career in beauty industry and marketing due to my
interest in this course. That is the reason I have decided to start a course in which I would be able
to have a good knowledge of beauty industry and I will also learn the way to use marketing
techniques in my business to promote the products and services. It is a part of my course in
which my teachers make me understand the way an entrepreneur should behave with their clients
and meaning of effective communication in marketing. After this I have gone through several
group projects in which I am a signed a leader of the group. Being a leader, I have to
communicate with all the members of my team effectively and efficiently so that I can manage
the whole project in the group in such a manner that every individual effectively no their duties
in the project. In the case of any problem in the project I am the one who needs to communicate
with seniors and teachers in order to solve the problem of the group. As a result I became a
mediator between my team members and teachers in order to carry their messages to each other.

Feelings - Before becoming the leader of the team I was a person with shy nature and low
confidence. I don't have enough confidence to even be my fellow members and was unable to
ask any type of question with my teachers during a class. In order to remove the shyness in me
my teacher has appointed me as a leader of the team (Molope and Oduaran, 2020). By becoming
the team leader I observe that I was able to communicate with my team members as well as
teachers and seniors with a great confidence. I was so amazed to observe such a positive change
in me and was so happy to be attractive person. During the situation when my teacher announced
me as a leader of the team I was so scared that I will not be able to manage whole team. I went to

my teacher to describe and discuss my problem but they denied to talk about that. Then I decided
no matter what I will handle the whole project with best of my knowledge.
Evaluation - By taking participation in this activity I have analyzed several positive changes in
me as I was able to understand people more clearly. The responsibilities which was given by my
teacher to me to handle the whole project as a leader I have best to handle the project. The
project requires to be communicated with several people which are associated with the project
such as people who are included in the service my seniors my class members my team members
and teachers. In order to get effective information for the project I need to be polite enough to
communicate with them so that they can provide me the required information. Apart from this I
also need to have effective communication skills which will help me to understand the message
of Sender and send message in such a manner that it can be understood by the receiver. Although
it also negatively impact some of my skills such as planning and organizing as the establishment
of communication is a time consuming process and I was unable to research on my topic in
effective manner. But the project goes well and I have communicated all the information in
effective manner as a mediator between my team and the seniors and teachers (Rejeki, 2021).
Conclusions - The evaluation helps me to conclude that I have develop effective communication
skills with the help of projects assigned my teachers to our group. There are several challenges
which I have been faced in order to improve my communication skills and other skills which are
developed with the help of the project. If I have faced the same situation again in future then I
have enough confidence to face the situation more effectively and use several skills which I have
developed during the project especially effective communication in order to manage the team
and the project. I had also analyzed that if I have developed leadership skills also then I will be
more capable to handle this type of situation in future.
Actions - There will be several actions which I will recommend to take if the similar situation
arise in future. These actions will include pre training of leadership skills. In order to complete
the project in effective manner related to the group I face several problems which can be solved
by attaining effective leadership skills. Apart from this I will also like to take several actions
such as creation of plan at initial stage instead of just starting the project after getting it. With my
previous section I have analyzed that when the teacher allotted me the project I have just started
it without even thinking about the project and making a plan to complete it. This has created a lot

of problem in the whole activity. Hence for effective actions in next step I will first prepare a
plan so that I have a proper direction in which I need to go to complete the project. These actions
which are to be taken in the next project will give more experience to an individual for which
they can provide a description again and which needs to be evaluated again (Rejeki, 2021).
The Gibbs model works as a never ending cycle in which the cycle continuous with every
action of the individual in the next project. This cycle is a continue cycle because it is a human
behavior all life that never stops until they die. Similarly they will perform some actions which
requires a description and acquire some skills from them ant cycle will be continued till the last
breath of the individual.
TASK 2
Personal Development Research & Planning
Personal development refers to the methods programs Tools and techniques in order to
develop an individual bye their own self. Five areas in which an individual can personally
develop themselves and those major five categories mental, spiritual, physical, social and
emotional. Development of all these skills essential for human body to survive. It is essential for
a person to work on their personal development plan as it will give a new direction to their life.
In order to develop personally an individual required to conducted research on themselves only
to understand their behavior and skills. This personal development by an individual will help him
to analyze several skills which are already present in them and the required skills which are
essential to achieve the required carrier. Personal development planning is an Action Plan which
was created by an individual in order to develop the skills which they analyze that should be
developed in them for their growth and development. Personal development research refers to
the research of a person’s skills they have developed in them with various actions. Before
formulating a personal development plan it is very important for an individual to conduct a
research on skills which they have and they require in future to attain a certain objectives. As I
want my career in beauty industry and marketing and have taken a course for the same. All the
course have developed the important skills inme which are time management decision making
skills and communication skills but when I I have conducted the personal development research I
observed that there is a requirement to develop more skills in order to achieve the goals and
objectives of my career (Wuni, Courtier and Kelly, 2020). I have found out that I need to work

CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it has been concluded that an individual develop several skills
during their education and learning no matter in which force they involved. It is essential for an
individual to conduct audit of their skills which they have developed with a certain course and
evaluate important skills which they have developed during their course. As I have developed
three important skills from my course that are time management decision making and
communication skills. Gibbs model of reflection helps me to analyze in deep manner the skills
which I have developed during the course. After understanding the value of several skills I had
decided to develop a personal development plan for which I have conducted a personal
development Research and planning. I have developed a personal development plan in such a
manner that it helps me to improve several skills of me for my further development.
