Introduction
The personal development may be defied as the
development of those skills which are used on daily basis
and professional development refer to the development of
those skills which assist in the growth of company. The aim
of this report is to discuss about the professional as well as
personal development of an individual and how these help
in attaining the set objectives and goals (Keevy, 2020).

Challenges of studying business management and
thriving in professional practice (with appropriate
examples)
Business management is basically a branch of education
which provide knowledge to an individual about the
planning, execution, supervision and analysis of
business. Different types of challenges are faced by the
individual in studying the business management form
which some of them discussed below: -

• Connecting with the new people

• Learning to work in a team
• Expenses

The importance of effective professional skills development
Professional skills are basically the set of different capabilities which make an
individual competent in conducting their various professional practice in effectual way.
The development of these skills within the individual assist them in attaining the future
success effectively and benefit them to enjoy various opportunities. Following are the

The importance of effective academic skills development
The development of the effective academic skill make a student more expeditious

• I have good communication skill which help me out
to communicate with any person in effective manner.
• My interpersonal skill and presentation skill is also
very good.
WEAKNESSES
• My decision making skill is very poor, I am not
be able to take the proper decision.
• My marketing skills are also not very good.
OPPORTUNITY
• I have the opportunity to meet with the different
people and increase the knowledge base.
• I also can develop the digital marketing skill within me
which are in demand
THREATS
• Change well as development of technology act as a
threat for me because my adaptation skill is very
poor.
• The immense amount of competition in the service
sector also act as a threat form me.

Detailed example of the actions that would be
taken to develop skills identified as weakness
in SWOT analysis
My decision making skill is not, this the area in which I am lacking off. In the professional career a crucial role
is played by the decision making skill. With the help of this skill an individual can effectively make the
decision which helps in increasing the company profitability. In order to improve the decision making skill first
I have to analyse all the things which are needed to make the effective decision.

Summary
From the above presentation it has been concluded that it is very important for an individual to develop
professional as well as effective academic skill within themselves. The development of these skills helps them in
attaining the success and successful position in their life. This presentation concluded that different types of
challenges like adjusting to the new surroundings, connecting with the new people, scheduling and many more
are faced by the individual in studying the business management.
