INTRODUCTION
This project is based on determining the relationship between relevant theory and practice
in work related context and also it provide the implication of own experience, competencies,
skills and knowledge in work related settings.
TASK
Relationship between relevant theory and practice in work related contexts
The reflection theory generally depicts that people develop with their social patterns and
classes of society due to culture and environment they exposed. With the help of reflection
theory, people can understand and interpret the social world in which they live. There are
different theory of reflection such as Gibbs reflection cycle, Kolb’s and many others. The
practice of reflection mainly includes the ability to reflect one’s action in order to take critical
attitude towards one’s own practice (McCormack and McCance, 2016). Through reflective
practice, an individual can continuously adapt and learn. Reflective practices mainly include
analyzing the action and experience of individual so that they can improve and develop. Theory
and practice work together as practice include actual observation, experiment and observation
whereas theory includes proposed explanation of relationship between various concepts and
explanation. Employability theory is generally based on the belief that employees through
generic skills development will help in increasing the employability of graduates and also
accelerate their career development (Scavarda and et. al., 2019). There is a positive connection
between theory and practice as it helps in demonstrating the ability to use evidence to increase
understanding of key concepts, informing future practice and justifying decision making. It is
important for an individual to focus on improving their employability skills in order to grab
better career opportunities such as advance their education, learn teamwork skills, improve
communication, become self motivated, get organized and show professionalism.
There is a conceived relationship between theory and practice in social work as it provide
knowledge internally which is connected to practice. Theory and practice affects each other as it
there is any changes in practice an individual need to re-conceptualize theory. There are various
factors that influence practice such as agency policy and clientele (Rooshenas and et. al., 2015).
Theories in social work generally describe how social workers can implement the theory whereas
practice provides social employees a blueprint which includes social work theories. Theory

generally focuses on explaining why something happens and practice reflects how to use the
theory in order to create change. There are various theories used in social work such as system
theory, developmental perspective, conflict theory and many others.
Theories are important to educational practices as it focuses on providing the
understanding of how people learn and also offers a way to describe, explain, predict and analyse
learning. Thus, theory helps an individual to make more informed decision around the
development, design and delivery of learning (Bearman, Nestel and McNaughton, 2017). There
are various educational learning theories which help an individual to improve their learning skills
including cognitive learning theory, behaviorism learning theory, humanism learning theory,
social learning theory and many others (Katoue and et. al., 2015). The implementation of
learning theory helps in improving the career opportunities of individual so that they can gain
better job according to their need and requirement.
The benefits which can be gained through applying learning theory is that it provides
information about the relationship among context, strategies and learner characteristics for better
integration. Through learning theory an individual can predict the effectiveness of selected
instructional strategies.
My work experience helps in contributing in my studies by providing opportunity to earn
and also enhance employability. The employability can be increase by working on enhancing the
employability skills and adapting to workplace culture to teamwork and time management
(Leone and et. al., 2021). My work experience will also helps me in developing personally and
also provide me an ideas for completing final yea projects in effective and efficient manner.

settings
The buck’s graduate attribute generally focuses on developing innovative leaders in
professional and creative capacities in order to create positive impact. The attribute which are
included are leadership and self development, social and ethical awareness and responsibility,
knowledge and its application and creativity. These are the few graduates’ attributes which helps
me in studies as it focuses on improving my leadership skills due to which I can lead the team in
effective and efficient manner (Lordelo and et. al., 2021). Through these graduate attributes I can
recognise the value and learning through studies. In order to improve my professional career as
healthcare assistant it is important for me to improve my social and ethical awareness so that I

can perform my role and responsibility in significant manner. For working as an assistant
healthcare, creativity attribute is also important as it bring something new due to which I can
deliver better quality of services to patients.
The experience which are required for graduate employability are developing innovative
ideas, well honored life skills, relevant work experience and graduate with healthcare degree.
These are the few experience which are required to be healthcare manager. In order to become
the healthcare manager it is important to have degree from well reputed college and also have
experience in healthcare professionalism. Experience is important for getting the job as it helps
in increasing self understanding maturity, increases motivation, show independence and increase
motivation (Oliveira Cunha and Costa Dias, 2021). The experience will provide the job
according to the interest. Through having experience an individual can learn about everyday
realities of working life and also make aware about the soft skills required for succeeding at
organistaion. Obtaining qualification is important but at the same time experience is also
important for an individual as without experience it becomes difficult to assist someone in their
professional career. Experience is important for becoming healthcare manager as it helps in
performing the roles and responsibility in effective and efficient manner. Work experience helps
in exploring the strength and weakness and also it helps in identifying the gaps in their skills so
that they can improve it accordingly and gain better career opportunities.
Skills which are required to be possessed by graduate are time management skills,
interpersonal skills, decision making skills and ability to work under pressure. These are the few
skills which are required by an individual to become healthcare manager. They generally make
effective decision related to the patients so that they can treat them in better manner. Decision
making skill is one of the important skills which are required by an individual so that they can
make effective decision. Through decision making skills an individual can lead and manage the
team effectively. The good decision making skills helps in increasing the productivity and also
enhances the time and resource management. By having good decision making skills an
individual can navigate a variety of situations that may affect their work. The other skill which
is important to become healthcare manager is ability to work under pressure. Through having
this skill an individual can deal with constraints and also deal with unforeseen problems.
Working under pressure is one of the effective soft skills which is required within an individual
so that they can deal with uncertain situation in effective and efficient manner. The other skill

which is required within an individual is time management skills. By having time management
skills an individual can reduce their stress, increase productivity, build strong reputation,
improve focus and streamline decision making. If an individual have strong time management
skills they can plan the activities according to the time and also control the time spend on
specific task. The few time management skills are planning, decision making, setting boundaries,
delegating and outsourcing tasks and building system.
The attribute of graduate which must be possessed in order to become functional
members of society are innovation and creativity. These are the few attributes which are required
within an individual to become functional member of society such as social intelligence, positive
behavior and many others so that they can effectively navigate the complex relationship and also
it is responsible for their own behaviour (Hardman, Begg and Spelten, 2021). The attributes of
graduate are sustainable development, entrepreneurship, community engagement,
communication, innovation and problem solving and technical and conceptual competence. It is
important or an individual to acquire different attributes so that they can learn something new
and also improve their skills.
