INTRODUCTION
Study is the proses of spending time and putting efforts on learning a specific subject /
matter or activity (Gündüz, Alakbarov and Demirci, 2020). Skills are the abilities that give a
advantage to a person / employee over others in a specific field whose skills he / she has. The
study skills are the abilities related to the study that give advantage in the process of learning and
make the related process easy and fast. The following essay is based on a project that mentions
four topics that influence curriculum vitae (CV) of an individual in its job. These topics are
chosen from the case study of the file. Then there is the personal experience of the writer about
his CV.
TASK 1
Suggesting and discussing four of the factors mentioned in the case study and a personal
experience with CV :
Curriculum vitae, commonly known as CV is a written document that concludes of the
skills, abilities, knowledge, learning, basic information, family background and work experience
of an individual. This is a very important document that has been demanded by the companies to
get overview of the individual that has been present for interview in the company and which also
decides their salary and assuring that the person has the needed skills / knowledge or not.
Following essay includes different types of factors that influence the CV.
Experience is the factor that specifies the level of knowledge and capability of a person in
a particular field that has been gained through past practices in the field. Similarly work
experience is the knowledge of an employee in its work or job that has been gained from
practical working of the individual in a specific company / market and going through the hurdles
that are faced in the way to make the work simple and effective (Athanases, 2021). The
experience highly help an individual for making its position in a related company whose work
experience he / she has, as the company demand and values the experienced individuals more
because they does not need much training and development programs and can start the work
effectively from the very first day. The recent pandemic has affected the market which resulted
in high unemployment as companies did not had money to pay their employees that decreased
the level of work experience. Skills are the highly beneficial abilities that can help in building

efficiency and making a work effectively in the related matter whose skills are present. The
audit of the skills are required and helps in identifying the types of skills that can help in
analysing the skills that can prove to be useful and should be learned. There are unlimited types
of skills so a person needs to analyse which skills can help him / her in their work and work in
developing them (Keinänen, Ursin and Nissinen, 2018). Connecting with different peers is a
way of building network in the market by interacting and building relationships with different
people that can help them in their work and other aspects of life. The different types of people
can help in different types of way to a person such as some can give you better knowledge
whereas some can help in developing your skills. The work is diversified, good network
connection can help a person when he /she needs any help in different work where his / her
knowns work. These that Making your experience is a way that mentions an individual to not
get depend on the work experience provided by the companies. The resited low level of
employment decreased the work experience for students that they used in their CVs and done
together with their university studies. The students are demanding availability of internships that
can provide them work experience even if they do not get paid for the work in internships. But
the students need not to get miserable as internships are not the only way to improve their CV
(Baroudi and David, 2020). These students can focus on other influencing factors as well that has
been included in the factor and specifically build their experience by studying and getting
information of their field through other sources.
I have worked in also currently working in building a strong CV and I am quite happy
with my current CV. I have learned different types of skills during the lock-down and did not
waste my time in playing games and watching TV. I have taken online development and learning
programs to get information in the related job profile in which I desire to work. The basic and
most effective ability is the effective communication which has been greatly improved by me
through online learnings and practising them in the real life (Okolie and et.al., 2022). I
mentioned this skill in my skill but being a common skill to be included in a CV I have also
analysed various other types of skill and developed them such as – technical skills, detail
oriented, analytical and team oriented. I assure to use powerful and more impactful active words
in my CV such as – achieved and accomplished. I mentioned the most important factors and

abilities on the top and also bold them to attract the attention of the interviewer towards them. I
am satisfied with my current CV and will also try to improve it more.
CONCLUSION
From the above essay it has been concluded that curriculum vitae is a written document
that mentions the skills and abilities of an individual with basic information about him / her. The
CV is used by an individual at the time of giving interview at companies to give them the basic
information. This makes the filtering process of the company easy. There are many different
factors that influence the CV, such as – work experience, skills, communication power and
network in the market.

Study skills are the capabilities of a person in relation to the efficiency in the which the
person studies and perform academic tasks (Tight, 2021). The following essay identifies and
mentions eight different types of study skills that are important for a student to learn as they help
them in getting advantage over other individuals in the race of getting jobs and promotes their
efficiency of performing job role.
Mentioning eight skills that the students develop at their universities with their importance in the
workplace in an essay format :
Communication skills are the most common type of skills known and considered which
also has the most importance. This is the effectiveness of a person to talk, put his thoughts in
front of others, make other do work that they want and make efficient deals. The is the skill that
has been used by all the people in the society while talking to each other. This was not
considered important before and the default default communication skills of a person were used
without trying to improve it. In the evolving world this is most important skill that is learnt by
people all around the globe. A good communication way of a person can help it in various ways
by different types of personnel such as – businessmen in making deals in their business, leader
for giving order to the other people so they understanding and follow it efficiently, a newbie in a
class / society for building relationship with others and a media reporter in rendering information
to the spectators in an effective manner (Succi and Canovi, 2020). The importance of this skill is
very much and is considered at the time of studying in their universities. This can highly help at
the workplace starting from making the employers choose him / her for the job and then building
effective communication with the other employees / workers / managers. It can be used in
developing good relationships with other people and for clear expression of thoughts both in the
written and verbal way. Communication is a complex and huge topic that consists different types
of other elements in it at sub skills to focus on it deeply. Some of the other types of skills
included in this are – presentation skills, active listening skills and also writing skills. Students
can work in improving them by different ways during their university studies such as – taking
part in debates, writing their thoughts on a paper for clarification of thinking, sharing their ideas

and giving speeches in front of many people in their assemblies or group activities.
Collaboration is the activity of helping other people in performing their work or in any activity
of the society for giving their contribution towards it. It is similar to the activity of a team.
Individual work is not appreciated much rather than the group activities are considered better.
The importance of this skill is different among different personnel, companies or countries.
Some consider individual work more important and some are better in team work as it has both,
some advantages and disadvantages. But collaboration at some extend is definitely beneficial and
help individuals and companies in performing their work in an effective manner. It may decrease
the identity and recognition of the people but also helps in decreasing the problems faced by the
new biees or in any complex task as the expertise ones help them and the problems are solved
that has been faced at the very moment without much disturbances. It also increases the overall
productivity of a company when using team collaboration in their premises. The different
individuals motivate each other to perform their task with much consideration. Time is a very
crucial factor to be considered. It keeps on moving and does not stop at any cost. The time
management skill is the ability of a person to effectively manage his / her time by bringing out
most results from a specific period of time rather than wasting it on unwanted activities
(Schipper and van der Stappen, 2018). This is a highly beneficial skill that mentions to bring out
most possible results in a fix period of time. This can be developed by an individual during the
time of managing the projects and homework given by the university. The development of time
management skill can provide an individual with the ability to maintain his / her activities
efficiently, mentioning the activities that he / she needs to do in her schedule and assuring their
completion on time. It can help an employee in building efficiency in the operations of the
organisation and completing his / her responsibilities on time. A person with this skills divides its
work into small different parts so they become and achievable tasks and achieving long term
goals by taking step by step and avoiding work load. Problems are an universal factor that is
essential for a person or company to face in their day to day operations and in the way of
achieving their desired tasks. Problem solving is a skill that is about the efficiency of a person in
solving the problems faced in an effective manner. Many people just ignore the problems that
they face and continue on their work. But it is a huge mistake as these problems have a high
effect on the results. These problems effect the level of complexity faced in performing the
operations, activities or tasks. A person with this type of skill analyses the small and large

problems that are being faced. The effectiveness of these problems are then analysed it is not
beneficial to waste time on very small problems that have minimal or no effect on the operations
or results. After analysation of the problems that are needed to be solved it starts evaluating the
measures that can help in solving those problems and then take them. This is highly beneficial
skill for a person to achieve growth and efficiency in the tasks of his / her job role. This skill can
be developed at the time of university in practising of solving small problems in the studies and
activities practised in the university. Organisational skills are the next type of skills that can be
developed by a student in its university and help in the job role. These are skills that help in
managing the operations in a business entity in a most possible effective way (Ludlum and et.al.,
2019). This skill is greatly related for a employee especially for the ones that manage the
operations of a company such as – its manager and supervisor. It also helps a normal employee
in managing the tasks given to him / her. This skill allows a person to sort and arrange the
activities and also in using the available resources in a way that can bring out the best results.
As a student, this skill can be developed and help in organizing their projects, notes,
assignments, books and schedules. Through this the things when needed urgently can easily be
found and there are less chances of things getting lost as they are kept and stored in a organised
manner. It helps in avoiding the wastage of time for finding things when they need them.
Adaptability skill is about the ability of a person to easily get adapted with the changes faced. It
is to accept the changes that are necessary either for the development or are faced due to any
uncertainty. These help in reducing the negative effect of the changes and provide relief to the
person facing them. These help a person in accepting the changes that has been made in its day
to day life or operations of the company. This is the skill of being flexible and accept changes
rather than being rigid to any particular thing, process or activity (Aničić and Bušelić, 2020). The
changes are necessary in the process of achieving success and development. These skills are
developed and used by employees to get adapted with the new operations and to implement
change in the company and to get adapted in the new areas / companies for their growth.
Students can develop this skill by trying new activities and learning new things / activities in
their university such as – dance and completion of projects. Technological literacy or technical
skills are the capability of a person to use new types of innovation, machineries and other types
of technology related tools. These technology is becoming an essential part in the evolving
world. They are being used commonly and highly by people of the society and in the companies

for bringing efficiency in the their work and achieving high satisfaction value (Rosenberg, Lotz-
Sisitka and Ramsarup, 2018). Technology was not used commonly in the past but the
upgradation of the technology has received great efforts from the people of the market which
make it a competition for the technological companies to bring new innovatory tools that can
help in making the lives of people and operations of a company more easy and efficient. The
rapid change in the technology has increased the need of ability of using these machineries
(Aleksandrova and Parusheva, 2019). The usage of the technology is also not an easy task but to
use the technological innovations one must have all the needed information. These are needed to
be studied or learned. A person with technological literacy is able to efficiently use the
machineries and is appreciated and attracted by the interviewers / employers in their company.
Students can build this skill by getting trainings from the market and using local technological
innovatory tools available in their universities such as computer and smart boards. A new subject
is also made for considering the technological factor important, it is commonly known as –
Information technology and Management of information system. It starts from the primary
classes from the basic use and the complexity increases with the time. Leadership is a skill of a
person to effectively manage a group of people and take them to the achievement of a similar /
particular goal. It is also a common type of skill found and appreciated in the society and
organisation. It is needed to be available specially in the higher management people whose
responsibility is to manager other employees / workers and make them do work that can benefit
the business entity. A person with a good leadership skill efficiently manages the people that lie
in its team or any other group of people towards any particular motive (Cheng, 2019). The
learning of leadership skills can also help student or any person to gain confidence, build strong
teams and making other people do what he / she wants. This skill can be developed and practised
by taking part in any students councils, participating and taking responsibilities in the group
projects / activities. There are different types of leadership styles practised in an organisation.
The leadership style used and the leader itself highly influence the level of productivity,
satisfaction of the employees and building good working environment. It forms the level of
attention and respect that the employees give to their leaders / managers or any other higher
authorities and affection towards the company.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that there are various types of skills that are
important for the students to get them learned at the time of their study in the universities as they
help them in their workplace and provide advantage in getting better jobs. Some common types
of skills that should be learnt by the students are – communication skills, adaptability skills,
technical literacy skills, collaboration skills, organisational skills, collaboration skills, leadership
skill and problem solving skills.
