INTRODUCTION
An individual needs to develop effective skills and knowledge in order to achieve
success in an organisation for growth in the field of Business management. The
operational working of an organisation signifies the internal working structure which
enables its smooth functioning. The study of Business Management helps to have an in
depth knowledge of the internal and external functioning of business for execution of its
knowledge in future endeavours. The interaction with Business owners and
Professionals enables to grasp opportunities by networking with leading business
managers (Alchin, Arthur, and Woodrow, 2019). The interactive study and knowledge
of business management helps the students to deal with dynamics of business world by
applying different theories and concepts of business.

Challenges of studying business

A career in the field business management is very challenging as it arises different problems and
difficulties for execution of business in real life. While studying business, there are various challenges that
hinders.
 Humanistic Deficit: There is an immense need of application of skills and knowledge in the field of
business which needs to be practised by the students of business management but the minimum effort
by educational institutions is preventing them from practising due to the lack of training and conduct
of programmes for enhancement of their management skill.
 New content education of management: In order to develop effective strategies for teaching and
learning, there should be use of more innovative methods for execution of knowledge in more
impactful way.

Importance of effective academic and
professional development
Academic development of an individual is very essential as it helps in building a competitive spirit
for development in business. The enhancement in the skills and knowledge of an individual in the
specialised field enables in ensuring their professional success. Students who perform well in their
academics are more inclined towards being more disciplined and focused about their studies. They
are even able to have better interaction with different people at workplace.
Professional development enables the student to deal with the uncertainties of environment
of business culture by having updated information for enhancement of effective learning skill
and knowledge. The personal as well as professional growth of an individual is enhanced with
the aid of academic development.

towards development of their career. There should be use of varieties of skills
in order to enhance the academic skill of a person. The soft and other skills of

 Use of appropriate emotions: The execution of appropriate emotions enables to
understand the perspective of an individual. The application of emotions in correct form
and way directs the qualitative attribute of personality of an individual. A lot of
miscommunication and conflict can be created with the application of unnecessary
emotions. Therefore, emotions should be applied in such a way that it measures all the
upcoming consequences that may prevail the growth of an organization.
 Focus on non verbal communication: The use of appropriate facial expression and body
language addresses effective communication with better understanding among
individuals.

between people is also influenced and made better with definite approach of active
listening.

 From the above report it is concluded that, every individual must learn and adapt the skill
