INTRODUCTION
Personal and academic skills can be defined as the ability of an individual so that they can
effectively carry out the operations at the workplace. Goals and the targets of the organisation
can be effectively achieved by implementation of these skills (Sotiriadou and et.al., 2020). These
skills consist mainly of communication, leadership and management aspects. In this report there
will be the decision on the approaches that can be carried out on the learning and development.
There will be discussion on the action plan and CV that will be created in this report.
MAIN BODY
Self-reflection on personal learning and development, and the transferable
skills
Personal learning is a very important aspect in the life of the student. Every student in their
educational field has their own experience of getting knowledge. It is very important for the
tutors that they should know about the active techniques in order to teach the students. In my
opinion I am able to analyse that there can be some kind of skills which can assist me in
effectively carrying out the learning process. When my teachers carry out the learning process, I
can effectively analyse that there is a need for some skills that I should develop in order to
effectively gain the knowledge.
Transferable skills consist of various elements like time management skills, decision making
and communication skills. These skills facilitate the students in the learning process through
which they become able to grab more opportunities (Gunarathne, Senaratne and Herath, 2021).
Each and every student in the educational campus should focus on these skills so that they can
implement these skills in their professional career. As a student I always focus on developing
these skills so that I can effectively carry out operation activities in future.
Identification and reflection on my approach to personal learning and development
Learning can be referred to as the development of the individual. It can be said that every
individual should be paying more attention so that they can become able to effectively manage
the work. It is very important for the students to do the self-assessment so that they can get to
know about their performance. Students should always focus on using effective techniques
through which they can enhance their knowledge. As a student of the subject business and

management I generally go through the example so that I can effectively analyse the concepts
that are being explained by the teachers. It facilitates me in order to enhance my learning process
and I also become able to score good grades at the examinations. Implementation of the strategy
at my home also helps me in retaining the knowledge and the concepts that are being conveyed
by the teachers in the school (Alisherovna and Tokhirjonkyzy, 2020). I will carry out self-study
regarding the specific topic which helps me in remembering the particular topic. Ultimately it
helps the student to become more effective regarding their studies.
I can analyse as a student that SWOT analysis is very much effective for the individuals.
Implementation of this analysis helps individuals to find out their weaknesses through which
they can eliminate it. This analysis helps me in developing effective skills which helps me in
achieving my ultimate goals. As a student of business management, I should have to formulate
SMART goals which can help me in order to access relevant learning techniques.
Implementation of smart goals helps me to develop the skills which can facilitate me in
achieving long term as well as short term goals. Analysis also facilitates me in eliminating all the
weaknesses that can create challenges in order to become successful.
Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by attending this module
Transferable skills can be defined as one of the most important and effective skills that
students should consider in order to fulfil the required criteria. These types of skills are easily
transferrable from one to another person by the help of training and development. These kinds of
skills facilitate individuals to perform operation activities at the workplace through which they
can accomplish the task and achieve the target. Implementation of these skills can help me in
order to achieve my target. Transferable skills directly improve decision making quality, time
management and communication skills which assist in more growth and development in the
professional career. On the other hand, the nature and behaviour of the other persons also play an
important role in these types of skills. As a student of business and management I have
implemented transferable skills which helps in performing better in academics (Kunicina and
et.al., 2019). Through my academic time my teachers helped me a lot in building effective skills
and I successfully developed leadership skills which helped me in performing operations at the
workplace. Development of leadership skills help me in influencing the behaviour of the other
individual towards the accomplishment of the goals and the targets. It facilitates me to lead the

Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies, personal life and the workplace
Studies of academics helps the individual to analyse various kinds of concepts which can be
used in the practical operations. Through academics I have developed various kinds of skills like
listening and writings which help me in performing various types of activities at the workplace
(Beazley, 2019). When I was in my school, I used to carry out challenging research on the
specific topics which overall enahances my skills and it also provides me an opportunity to build
an effective career in future. In regards to my personal life I came to know how to solve
challenging problems. I also developed problem solving skills which helps me in carrying out the
operations in a fast manner. Another skill that I have developed is time management through
which I become able to complete the task before their deadlines and it directly improves my
productivity and performance at the workplace. It has also been developed in me how to lead the
actions of the individuals what's the goal and the values of the organisation (Ashar, Kamdi and
Kurniawan, 2021). It successfully developed leadership skills in me through which I became able
to effectively manage various teams at one time.
