TASK 4
The effectiveness of the event can be evaluated by using checklist. The checklist includes
the skills and capabilities that the team members are required to possess. In order to manage the
facilities of the event, person qualities are considered important rather than paper qualifications
(Bhat and et.al., 2015). In order to manage the event, a list is prepared that comprises of the
various aspects that are covered in the event. Good communication skills are required for
managing the event. Along with this, there is requirement of the ability to work under pressure.
The various members of the team should be capable of overcoming the problems that arise
during the event. Sub teams of team members were created and specific operational and
management responsibilities were assigned to them. More focus was laid on planning proper risk
assessment. Further, there was adoption of appropriate leadership style so that the team members
could be trained and transformed with required skills.
As the team members are good at managing the time, the event proved to be successful.
Good communication skills were possessed by the team members. Also, they were
knowledgeable about the ways to solve a problem if it arises during the event. Brief team
meetings were organized during the running of the event. These were required so as to ensure
that all the facilities and operations are being managed in an effective manner. During these
meetings the team members were reminded of the qualities possessed by them and the reasons
for which responsibilities were provided to them. Further, they were briefed about the skills
required for performing a particular task for the event. These meetings proved to be useful for
monitoring and reviewing the progress of the various activities of event. Effective training was
provided to the team members.
It can be evaluated that I effectively managed the event by taking the responsibility for
motivating the team members. Moreover, I also set the quality standards for the performance of
team. I also took the responsibility of communicating with the employees of Fizz Bang in order
to coordinate the employees.
