MAIN BODY
SECTION 1
An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is a moral code of conduct or we can say its an ethical policy of
academics that allows students, staff, researchers and other academic members to be involved in
new idea building, with all creative knowledge they have . It is based on values and norms of
behaviour including honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility. These are the five utmost
values of academic integrity (Cronan, et. al. 2018). Credits are awarded to the honestly
conducted work and its checked that the information provided is correct and according to the
copyright and privacy laws, checking its origin, not using other's information under your name ,
conducting all the research work ethically and reporting all your research work truthfully. From
these values flow principles of behaviour that translates ideals into actions giving students and
staff academic organisations a moral code of conduct to follow. A valid example of academic
integrity in schools is not falsifying or altering a file or record or health slip or grades of students
or telling anyone to do so, this is misconduct of moral behaviour.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity uses the five basic values of behaviour, if not then it can lead to
misconduct of behavioural norms. It is needed for the students, staff and university and for its
good reputation in the education industry. It is followed because students are there to learn and
gain knowledge, if the work of others is presented , then they are not learning, they are copying.
Higher education means students have done their basic learning, and to ensure the quality of
teaching and learning it is important. If the universities allow any means of cheating, it would
ensure no guarantee of quality in the organisation. Students need integrity or code of conduct for
their future employment, and if they don't show honesty, or not doing work with full
responsibility, or if not respecting seniors, they don't demonstrate honesty in workplace, they
can face problems like legal issues, loss of job or any further actions. These basic traits of
honesty are learnt during higher education. There are various rules and regulations for everyone
in universities to follow (De Maio, and Dixon, 2022). If they don't demonstrate academic
integrity in university, they are under the misconduct of behavioural norms and that can lead to

various penalties. So it is important for the students and staff to follow all the rules of academic
integrity.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct can be described as any ways or means of cheating done in the
academic course. It can include cheating, bribery, misinterpretation, collusion, conspiracy,
duplicate submission etc. resulting in the suspension or expulsion from the institute. The
universities are liable for checking out all the reported or unreported misconduct done in its
premises by its students or staff . These misconduct activities can result a lot to the students, staff
and the university. Misconduct results can be in the form of fines, loss of future projects to the
students or universities, lawsuits and much more. This can result in the loss of reputation of the
institution, loss of opportunities etc. Other possible sanctions that are given to students include
resubmission of work with or without penalty, failed grades, warning letters, suspension from a
project, course, or even university, or permanent expulsion from the institution (Eaton, 2020) .
Sometimes even some of the teachers present in the institution are also biased resulting in the
favouritism between students, even this is an example of academic misconduct done by the staff
of the institution. It is moral responsibility of a candidate to resolve problems with selection of
appropriate strategic and planning framework.
SECTION 2
Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game
for Assignment 2
The game I have made is “ROUND BOARD”. It is based on questions and answers.
This will help in academics. The steps that I took in its making are, firstly I had to go through a
lot of research work for its need, usage, for my team, I had to search for the members or my
friends that were needed for its making, for its working, then I had to find a team for its
advertisement and popularisation. After having the team, I and team had to go through the game
planning as in the target that is the people interested in playing or the age group we were
planning our game for, then audience for our team, need for our game in market. Then we did
research on the questions and answers needed for our game. And then after all that the game was
made we took it and gave it a try in the market, considering its popularising or its future growth
in the market (Fatemi, and Saito, 2020) . After that we took feedback and as it was successful,
integrity.

we launched it on a bigger scale. The problems which I encountered during the project were of a
big level and it was necessary for me to develop an effective approach in handling those
problems.
big level and it was necessary for me to develop an effective approach in handling those
problems.

Difficulties faced during the production of game:
Firstly, I was not able to find team for its production as I got a lot of rejections.
After facing a lot of rejections, I faced problem in finding human resource for game.
Financial, technological resources were even a problem for me which created a major
issue.
After having all resources,it was hard to coordinate team with its working, management
and timing issues.
Advertisement was a hard task, as it was needed to have all on hoardings, billboards,
internet, televisions, and its popularity as we had to find a brand ambassador.
It was a great task as feedback was not on proper time and that valuable as people were
less interested in giving proper feedback.
It was initially less liked because it deals with academics and the target audience was less
interested in answering.
ANALYSIS :Round board has been a challenging task for me to do. With every step involved I
faced a problem, the most important was of finding resources and coordinating everything and
everyone with each other (Kaktiņš, 2018) . Earlier children were interested because of
academics involved in it. From researching what game to produce and its planning, it involved a
lot of patience, financial resources, planning, organising, coordinating and all other managerial
activities.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those emphasized in
producing your game
Leadership: Being the leader of my team, I analyse and prioritise my group and lead my
team by encouraging my team's growth by strategic thinking, innovating and taking
actions needed and evaluating results by delegating work between the members and
giving each one a different responsibility to fulfil directly or indirectly resulting in the
proper participation of all my teammates (Kaktiņš, 2019). During the project completion,
I have selected democratic leadership approach which helped me decision making. The
leadership style and its selection is one of the most crucial task of a project leader. Also
the selection of appropriate leadership style helped me in achievement of key goals and
objectives related to the project.

Team management: Giving proper work, allocating duties and responsibilities to my
team by coordinating and administering all my responsibilities, setting targets,
implementing guidelines . I have managed my team to be happy and creative by proper
communication between me and my team, having their feedback on time and solving all
issues arising during the work. In order to manage the team, I have faced key issues
which are arising on frequent basis. To resolve major issues related to my project, it was
essential for me to cope up with new contemporary environment.
Time management: My conscious planning and thoughtful decision making has lead to
the achievement of our goals effectively and efficiently. Completion of our projects on
time has resulted in proper management of our team and of our work. I have managed my
time by staying focused and sticking to our prioritised tasks rather than getting distracted
by other unimportant tasks (Sefcik, Striepe, and Yorke, 2019). Getting work right has
resulted in smart working of our team. The time management is also considered as a
major issue as improper time management can directly impact on the flow of project
activities.
Decision making: The process of making choices of utmost importance, gathering and
allocating all the information, assessment of all resources available and their optimum
utilisation and various other decisions has helped me in great decision making for my
game. Making the best use and proper evaluation of all the resources and opportunities
available to me and my team, we have lead to the better decisions and outcomes for our
team. The decision making skills are most crucial in academic life of an individual as it is
also used to minimise tasks and functions based risk which is encountered during
completion of project.
Critical thinking skills: Analysing all the available facts and resources, identifying
issues faced, grabbing opportunities, doing proper and evaluative research work,
determining important tasks rather than focusing on unimportant things in the game, we
utilise our thinking skills in the better development of our game. The problem solving
related to a particular situation is also supported by critical thinking skills (Sotiriadou, et.
al. 2020). Critical thinking skills also helped me to gain precise knowledge related to
project management.
