INTRODUCTION
In this competitive world, only degree is not sufficient for getting the higher paid job. So
its important that an individual should have certain skills which makes them different in market.
An individual can stand strongly from perspective of professional manner. It is necessary that an
individual should develop transferable skills in themselves so that they can face interviewers in a
more stronger manner(Del Percio, A., 2018). These skills becomes base while working in
professional manner. For getting selection on a faster pace it is important that an individual
should made some amendments in their CV. In this manner, an individual can come across in
eyes of interviewers on a faster pace. These amendments should be according to market
requirement so that company can easily understand profile of particular candidate. In this faster
world, its really important that an individual should be smart and proactive in nature.

Following are the five skills which are required to become successful from perspective of
students. They are specially known as transferable skills. It has been described into following
manner:
 Leadership and team management: This skill is very important to become successful.
Because it involves in taking charge and motivating other people while working in a team
or in an individual manner.
 Problem solving skills: In every kind of business, it encounters different types of issues.
If an individual is able to solve problems then it act as a big plus for an
individual(Kapadia, and et.al., 2017). There are some problems which are easier to solve
and some are related to task achieved by an organisation which needs to be implemented
into practical manner.
 Communication Skills: This is very important parameter at an organisational level. If an
individual can communicate into effective manner then it is most basic employability
skills. In terms of workplace, information needs to be conveyed into effective manner
from both perspective whether it is internal or external. So its important that an individual
should be good in terms of their communication skills.

 Time Management: If an individual has good time management skills then productivity
automatically gets increased. In this way, work can be completed in the less period of
time and also have ability to work under pressure. Good time management is all about
planning day in a particular manner and avoid distractions and carry out reviews on a
regular basis.
 Work Ethics: Under this head,remaining dedicated towards work and being honest
towards it. Then it considered under category of work ethics(Pham, and et.al., 2020).
When learning new skills, showing commitment towards work to the employer and being
responsible towards work in a planned manner also comes under category of work ethics.
It is all based on personal understanding of their own values rather than considering
rewards that has been received by an employee.
These skills are important into work place due to some certain reasons. It has been explained into
following way. These skills plays a very important role at work place because it is current
requirement of market and need at the organisational level. These skills create a roadmap to
stand strongly at the professional place. These skills support in various levels and into different
departments also. They contribute towards solving problems in terms of business context. It also
act as a base for any individual to work in any field. And having work ethic also creates
disciplined environment as well as shows commitment towards work due to which daily basis
task has been achieved into effective manner.
By having leadership, time management, communication skills within an individual then it act as
a key role of strong personality at the organisational level. Leadership skill gives opportunity to
lead organisation into result oriented way with approach of having vision in their mind. Time
management has helped in prioritising their work at professional level that what is more
important and which is least important that can be considered in further time. Communication is
a base for running any type of business because on the basis of communication, such a large
team can work into effective manner(Ritter, and et.al., 2018). That's why these skills are
important at the workplace. And in the modern work place these skills becomes the key
parameter for achieving objectives and goals of an organisation. On the basis of vision every
organisation work accordingly and these skills support in achieving that particular vision of an
organisation.

2) Give five recommendations which help students in improving content of their CVS
Following are ways which help students in improving content of their CVS. It has been
described into following manner:
 Trim the excess part: Employers have interest in seeing the relevant information which
makes a candidate interesting for an interview. So it depends on an individual to give it in
clear and authentic manner(Ali, W. M., 2016). CV should be prepared in such a manner
that it looks tempting from perspective of selling themselves. Attention can be grasped
through facts, figures and achievements. CV should not exceed more than two pages.
 Don't forget about keywords: Before a human being sees the CV, software will verify
CV on their own technical way. These type of programs look for specific words or
phrases which relates to job profile or industry. To get an idea about specific keywords,
look at the similar job descriptions or try to type the job title in search engine. From
perspective of example reservation manager. It includes communication skills, friendly,
polite and organised. It can be possible that help can be taken from people who are in
similar job or work in a similar industry.
 Include a personal statement: CV can become effective when good personal statement
has been used in it. Its important that to keep it short, highlight an individual level of
experience, skills which are strongest from perspective of an individual and professional,
personal qualities which makes an individual right for a job(Awada, and et.al., 2020).
While writing about strengths, help can be taken from trusted friend or colleague.
Example of personal statement. It has been written into following manner:
As an innovative, confident executive chef with five years of experience in industry of
restaurant, I have shown commitment towards my work with respect to developing and
maintaining my menus, kitchen and staff to give the customer all round experience.
 Quantify an individual achievement: In the CV, it is required that wherever possible
use supporting figures when an individual mention about revenue or cost savings. If an
individual changes were related to performance or process perspective, make sure that an
individual state the benefits which had on the business.

In terms of example it can be said that held regular training sessions on customer service and
saw an immediate increase in positive feedback on an individual comment cards.
 Take a break: If an individual is doing lots of cutting, editing and pasting then
individual may not have noticed that an individual chopped the end of a bullet point or
muddled a sentence. When an individual has the time, leave it for few hours or even
overnight and then go back with it fresh eyes. It is important that to use spell checker
which is for a reason and it is necessary to use it. Its necessary that to check about layout
as well as about spacing and consistency of font size. For the safer side it is important
that to check the CV by that individual who has good command over language of
English.
In this competitive world, a fresher needs to be very smart and proactive in nature so that it can
stand strongly at time of interview(Erdogan, F., 2019). In CV it is necessary that it has some
strong parameters due to which company gets bound to select that particular candidate. For that
purpose it is necessary that candidate prepare CV in a very effective manner so that interviewers
can take it into consideration amongst other candidates. These recommendations will help in
preparing a strong CV for an individual. In this way, candidate will get selection on a faster pace.

It has been concluded from above report that in this competitive world, a student needs to
be very smart in academics as well as in their related skills for a particular field in which he or
she wants to pursue their career. Because when they passed out from college company is looking
for that candidate who is not only good in academics but need to be smart enough to deal in
professional and with external world also. For getting the selection on a faster pace student needs
to prepare their CV in a stronger way. So that it looks different and have some strong parameters
which makes them unique from others. That's why academic skills is not enough for further
growth in terms of their career and they need to be aware about external world also.
