INTRODUCTION
Study skills helps students in learning new information and retaining it for longer
duration of time (Bracewell, 2020). This skills can be learned by students with a short period of
time. The confidence level and motivation of students keeps on enhancing when they are able to
learn study skill. The skills which are being included in study skills are writing & reading skills,
time management skill, presentation skills and many more. The study skills helps students when
they start working with organisations. As having degree is less important then having skills,
which will lead in achieving organisational goals. This report includes the suggestions related to
work performed at the time of lockdown. Further this report includes the analysis of personal
experience related to CV.

Select the suggestions regarding the work during the lockdown in a detailed form
At the time of lockdown there are certain skills or work on which students work upon in
order to build their career (Cottrell, 2020). Some of the work performed at the time of lockdown
are stated below -
 Online experience – At the time of lockdown it was not possible for students to went
outside for learning. This is why students started opting online or virtual learning
platforms. The students are able to learn skills along with their studies. These skills will
help them in building their career bright, they are also able to develop all those skills
which are essential for getting desired future job. With this, at the time of watching
online videos it can be seen repeatedly, till they are not able to learn it properly. Along
with it is convenient to watch videos as per their convenience. The students are able to
develop time management skills, presentation skills, communication skills and so on
which is essential for building bright future.
 Peer connection - The students are able to learn and understand more when they discuss
things with their friends instead of teachers. As they feel comfortable by studying with
their friends and can share ideas along with deep discussion upon it. At the time of
lockdown the students find continent to do peer learning. They are able to develop
collaborative learning experience with the help of peer learning. With the help of social

media students are able to make new friends with whom they get to known about the
opportunities through which they can develop their skills and can lead a bright career.
The companies more often started posting new job opportunities over social media
platforms which influence students to make new connections online and take suggestions
form them. By the advice provide by experienced person the students are able to opt the
career options for higher education easily. With this, the students can also perform virtual
discussion with the help of training sessions provided over online platforms.
 Develop own experience – The students created their own experience of work at the time
of lockdown (Duraka and Hoxha, 2020). The students worked with small vendors and get
their products or services promoted. They make use of certain marketing techniques
which helps students in getting real business experience. This is who students are able to
develop client handling skills and negotiation skills. The communication skills of
students also developed by dealing with customers or clients. When the employees do
work from home then they become more productive as they get flexible timing for
completing their work. This enhances the efficiency of students and they are able to learn
new things. Focus on more skills – Learning is a continuous process, the time spend by students on
their learning will help them in building their career (Singh and Singh, 2019). The
students are able to work at professional level with the help of developing these skills.
The skills learned by them them will benefit them for long run. The students will be able
to beat the current competition when they are have number of skills. The students will
also get the opportunity to explore about their skills. As they keeps on learning new skills
it would be easy for them to evaluate the things which they find interesting and can select
it as their career option. The students can also showcase those skills in their CV, which
will increase the possibility of getting their CV get shortlisted easily.

As per my opinion I am happy and satisfied with the my CV because at the time of
lockdown I get ample of time in which I focused towards developing certain skills which are
essential in getting a well professional career opportunities (Elfeky and Elbyaly, 2021). I first
evaluated the skills which are essential for me for building career and then prepared a list of
those skills. I have certain options such as skills audit, peer connections, learning online, or

creating own experience which can be adopted by me work enhancing my skills. I work upon
them, though will I am able to build an effective CV though will I am capable of getting a well
designation job in a reputed company. By preparing effective CV I will be able to get ample of
job opportunities and also get chance to getting well universities for my higher education. While
I started learning new skills I felt curious to learn new things. I have learned the skills though
which I was able to manage the small business during lockdown. I was able to handle client
effectively and this is who my communication skills were also developed. I have effectively
utilised my vacant time by developing new skills. The effective CV designed by me will help me
in getting the desired career options so I am happy that I get the desired knowledge for creating
effective CV.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that, with the help of study skills students
are capable to getting the desired job and career growth opportunities. The students can make use
of online learning, peer learning, learning though own experience and focusing on learning new
skills at the time of lockdown. Moreover the the help of developing and learning new skills the
CV become effective and can be easily shortlisted by companies.

INTRODUCTION
Skills are the capability through which an individual can perform its work in a more
better manner (Akben, 2020). By spending some time on learning the students will be able to
learn new skills. An individual is able to develop those skills with the help of training programs
or by practising themselves. The skills which are being learned by students helps them in
building their career and getting their desired job. In today's competitive edge it is not possible
for students to get job easily without having any specified knowledge or skills. This report
includes the skills which are essential for students to be developed at the time of studying in
universities along with its importance at workplace.

workplace.
There are some of the most important skills which are considered as most important in
order make growth in career of students. With this these skills helps in workplace on which
students will work in future. The importance of those skills are mentioned below -
 Problem solving skills – The problem solving skills are considered as one of the most
important skills at the time of working in organisation because there are certain problems
which employees have to face while working their (Huang, Chang and Chou, 2020). Not
only in professional life, problem solving skills are equally important in personal life
also. The professional are able to solve any problem when they have adequate amount of
knowledge upon the particular subject or topic. The learning of an individual can be
developed at the time of academic learning. The real life problems faced by an individual
can also be resolved when they are able to develop the quality of problem solving. The
problem which are being faced by students in their future job as well in the work
enthronement of organisation can also be easily solved with the help of problem solving
skills. The students will be able to manage the hurdles which are being arises in working
environment and in their daily schedule. The organisation can become productive when
they are able to solve the problems faced by them, this is why now a days problem
solving skills is in demand. By this skills the organisations have now developed a
opportunity for new job position. The businesses are even able to get competitive

advantage with the help of problem solving skills. As they are able to produce something
new and innovate which competitors does not have and get competitive edge. The
employees are able to get senior management post if they are having problem solving
skills. The time, cost and efforts of organisations can be saved if their management is
able to get the solution of any problem timely. The students will also get ample of future
opportunities when they are able to solve problems faced by them and others.
 Time management skill – The students who are able to manage their time upon studies
and other important activities will surly be able to build a bright career (Lengkoan,
Andries and Tatipang, 2022). The student who is able to mange time properly will
accomplish all its assigned task on time. The students will never miss their deadlines and
will be able to complete the task on timely basis. The time management starts when the
students have to plan their task and then at the time of organising it. When the work is
being able to complete on time then the stress level of students declines as they didn't
have to worry about the deadlines and also they don't have any pressure upon them. With
this, if the work is being completed on time then the employees will make full efforts
upon the work which they have to perform and hence their productivity will keeps on
enhancing. The employees who never miss the deadlines along with accomplishing the
work on time have a positive image in the mind of management and among other
employees. Those employees will also get free time from their routine work which can be
spend by them and get time of recharge themselves for the daily routine work. The
individual who have time management skills will schedule time for preparing each task
which will help in improving the quality of work and focus. The individual will also
develop the quality of decision making when they schedule task properly. The individual
will become self disciplined when they are able to work on timely basis. The
management use of praise such employees which results in enhancing confidence and
motivation level of employees. They will also help other individual so that they can also
perform well and hence the working culture of organisation would be improved.
 Communication skill – The students are able to present themselves in a better manner if
they are having an effective communication skills (Loureiro and Silva, 2019). The
students are able to present their work more properly in front of everyone by having
effective communication skills. The employees also requires communication skills to

present their work in a better manner. The chances of arising conflicts would also be
reduced with the help of effective communication skills as they will connect with each
other. The member of team will come together to perform collaborative working and
hence this is how they will be able to enhance their level of productivity. The
communication skills could also be developed if the students are listening to its teachers
properly. The communication skills of students can be developed when they do
continuous practice. One is unable to communicate anything if they did not have
knowledge upon that particular topic. This is why at the time of communication,
knowledge also plays a significance role. The students can practice to develop an
effective communication skills by communicating with their friends. If the ineffective
communication takes place then the message with one wants to deliver will be delivered
or misinterpreted wrongly. The smooth functioning of the work takes places when the
employees are able to deliver their message effectively. The students as well as
employees are able to resolve their problems when they effective communication skills.
The communication skills is important in academic as well as professional life. By having
an poor communication skills the flow of decision making power and efficiency both
keeps on declining.
 Creativity skill – The creative skills helps students in solving the difficult problems
easily (Suranata, Apriliana and Ifdil, 2020). The students are able to identify the
interesting ways which will helps them in solving their problems. The creativity approach
varies from person to person and hence there are ample of opportunities which the
students can avail by developing creativity skills. The creative work could be performed
by the employees of organisation when they started working as a team. This is how the
the quality of team work and collaboration will be developed among them. The
innovation in work leads in building connections. Eve the students who are not good in
their academics can also achieve success by having creative skills. The employees who
are creative will be able to decide their future goals and will frame them in a better
manner. The students are able to develop the creative skills with the help of reading and
writing regularly. The employees who are able to work together will find easy to do
creative work. The challenges faced by the individuals can also be solved with the help of
developing creativity skills. The work performed by the creative person is unique which

is being appreciated with every one and hence their level of confidence enhances. The
students are able to keep their mind active by involved in continuous creative thinking. In
order to get competitive advantage it is crucial for organisation to have workforce of
creative employees.
 Decision making skill – There are certain options to perform the work and selecting best
out of those alternative is the decision making skills (Hora, Chhabra and Smolarek,
2022). The individuals who is not able to take good or accurate decision will not be able
to achieve its set goals. With the help of proper evaluation an individual is capable of
selecting the best alternative out of those options. The effective decision making skills
which help students in selecting the best career option. The students mostly get confused
about the career path which they have to chose so when they have good decision making
ability they will evaluate the things and take effective decision though which they can
achieve their career targets. The employees who have effective decision making skills are
being availed with certain responsibilities. This is who their level of confidence will be
enhanced and they will be able to build professional career. The students will also be able
to chose the correct career path with the help of decision making skills.
 Team work – The behaviour of individuals varies from person to person, this is why
their thinking ability does not match with each other (Warner, 2020). They finds difficult
to to cop up with each other. With the help of team work quality the individuals are able
to mix up with individuals having different behaviour and backgrounds. Then also they
are able to produce effective output which is being desired by the organisation. When
team work is performed then the efficiency of whole team developed. The students
become creative and develops collaborative working quality. The goals, roles &
responsibilities of each individual is clear to themselves with helps in regulating their
performance. When the students made collective efforts they get to learn new things from
each other and more learning opportunities are developed. The working environment of
organisations improves when they are able to work together. The team members are able
to improve their work through feedback that is given to them by their teachers. The
organisations are able to perform its management functions better by making team
efforts.

 Listening skills – The students are even able to improve their communication skills if
they are a active listener and pays proper attention to the things taught by their teachers.
The students can achieve success in their career when they listen to the advice provided
by teachers. When the employees within the organisation carefully listen to each other
then they are able to build an effective relationship which each other. The roles and
responsibilities of each member would be clear by being an active listener. The easy flow
of communication takes place when they are listening to each other. For the sake of
bright future of students it is required for the students to listen to their teachers
instructions carefully. This is why the students will be able to make growth in their
career.
 Inter personal skills – With the help of interpersonal skills students are able to examine
their own strength and weaknesses (Vickers, Dowell and House, 2019). The students will
also be able to take timely actions on the weaknesses they have. For being a good leader
in the organisation it is crucial to analyse the weaknesses and make efforts in direction to
overcome form it.
The above mentioned skills states that students are able to build bright future when by following
them. The personal as well as professional growth of students takes place by learning these skills
in their universities.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that, it would be easy for students if they
follows the study skills in their life. There are certain skills which should be learned by students
at the time of studying in high school. As these skills make the career to student bright through
which they will be able to make growth in future. These skills includes communication skills,
interpersonal skills, listening skills, team work, decision making skills, creativity skills, time
management and problem solving skills. The level of students will be developed by adopting
these skills.
